Hello Mike. We enjoyed the camping video. Grab a roll of suveyors tape on your next adventure. I have have a good sense of direction. However I have gotten turned around a couple times. If you tie a piece to a tree by your water crossings and other conspicious locations. You can remove them on your return trip. Jim
Off Grid Adventures was a great fun to watch series. Would make a great second channel. Anything outside of LA could be put on it especially for the future IF you decide to do more travel stuff. Left the place better than how you found it!👌
Excellent wilderness footage I enjoyed the series. Not sure about the size of your fire especially if embers blew into some dry brush though. I am sure you were aware and had at least rudimentary tools such as a shovel to stir the fire and to clean up after it was put out. I believe the Basin Fire was not that far from your location that as of today was not 100 contained yet so fire remains a significant risk throughout the State especially the foothills and Sierras. 🔥👍🇺🇸
@@jameswelch6535 it only burned "high" at the very beginning of the fire then it was just two halved logs with a moderate flame - If you look around the fire pit and surrounding area you'll see I built up the fire pit pretty high, it's on a giant rock with nothing flammable for 20' or more anywhere near the fire
@@AstroVanTribe I couldn’t really see your pit and as you said you were aware of the surroundings and were prepared. Just an observation on my part. Prior experience as a seasonal fire fighter (70) and as a supervisor of inmate crews 81-84 who has chased fire all over California ,however, never on Bald Mt.
By the way, i spent some time in my life living down south. I became accustomed to wearing "cowboy hats". That hat looks right on you man. I think you know what I mean. It suits you, I guess I could say.
Michael thank you for bringing me and everybody else along that enjoys your channel on your camping Adventures I really do enjoy watching your videos keep up the good work
It sounded like ypu said you were going to use a power cord for the chin strap. It was bugging me tryimg to understand why ypu would do that. This was itchin at me for several minutes before it occurred to me ,you must have said para cord. I just couldnt picture an old micro usb cord for a chin strap. Lol Have a good one Mike Z. !!!!!! And take it easy !!!!!!
Nice hat ! I dont like most cowboy hats designed these days. All seem pressed to be pressed into a square flat shape in front. Looks like yours is more radiused. Looks good.
Loved the camping series brotha. Inspired me to take the family camping.
Thanks for taking us along on your camping trip Mike really beautiful country out there...👍💯

Bravo... well done.
The alternate camp spot. Maybe experiment and go full camouflage. Cover the Van completely. Go stealth. Avoid Rangers.

There was zero risk of starting a forest fire, Jim.... I've been doing this since I was a kid without mishap

The sun isn't normal..
That’s a palm leaf hat.
Dunk it in the water
Put it on your head and let it dry while wearing it.
The hat will form to your head.
The crab/scorpion things in the water are probably Dragonfly nymphs. Eventually they molt and emerge from the water.
Just love how you buttressed that tree with the Y stick. Mike Z, you are a thoughtful steward of the wilderness! ⚡️⛺️⚡️
Nice, I enjoyed the series after you went off on your own.
Me too

Where would the water source be👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👍👍
You need to have some mushroom tea and watch the Johnny Dep movie RANGO.
