Nice comparison. Enscape seems to render the ceiling, black cabinets, and wall with a better light diffusion thus making it clear to me that it’s better (at least in this example).
Twinmotion for the counter and glazing, Enscape for the cupboards (by a long way). If TM could add ambient occlusion above cupboards and ceiling / wall junction, would read better IMO. I find TM's global illumination setting lights everything up too much and is why we loose critical shadow detailing. I would say its these shadow details in TM are my main critisism in general since using TM for about 4 years now, which I believe is better with Path Tracer (im on a mac so I can't test), and also better when looking at the export settings now available. David I didn't realise you could tweak path tracer settings using a Mac? Good to know!
tbh, I started practicing enscape renders with sketchup then eventually revit, and its a real powerful tool, where the textures are spot on. Unreal Engine v.s. Lumion though 🤔
fantastic comparison, again in my opinion its hard to beat enscape, you could almost get away without any post production for a quality image to present to clients.
Twinmotion is awesome, in my view. Really easy to use and learn but, just like ArchiCAD, it gets so much better if you can invest loads of time to learn it in depth. If you can create a TM template then it won't be as cumbersome when first syncing. I think ArchiCAD-to-TwinMotion (throw in a bit of Grasshopper and Excel) could be the best workflow in the world for Architects, which saves time, is amazing for clients, and so much clearer for everyone to build from. ;-)
Hi, David. Thanks for the comparison! I am an architecture student and I was looking for a good visualizer for a beautiful presentation. I looked at all the visualizers and stopped at these two. Unfortunately, path tracing does not work on macs, which is very sad. If this function worked, I think twinmotion would be the winner. I've looked at all the visualizers and only Twinmotion and Enscape are native on macs. For example, 5D render is also not bad, but you need to download Windows and for sure there are also limitations in ray tracing. Tell me, do you use the official version of Enscape for mac or have you downloaded the hacked version?
Default Enscape render system is Better than default render system Twinmotion, this all change with Patch Trace or Lumen in High Configurations. But Enscape is Very impressive, Love it! I going to study Twinmotion 2024 now.
I noticed you went into the Path Tracer settings and spoke of the multiple-GPU setting, etc., but you’re on a Mac M1 chip. Path Tracer is not available. Is there something I’m missing?
The latest update allows lumen rendering which from what I can comprehend of the software is basically faking path tracing to a certain degree without actually having the ability to use it property. I’m sure someone who has done a little more research on the topic may be able to elaborate on this and probably disprove me completely haha. Either way rendering has improved significantly since this update
Escape looks more realistic to me. The light reflections and subtle wood grain pattern on the cabinets look better on Enscape.
Yeah. Thats what makes architecture

Unreal is very powerful, currently I don’t have the skills to truly show what it can do. Working on it

Great point!
Enscape might be better when you put some more time into it but keep in account twinmotion is free. Enscape starts at 500 a year.

I use the official versions. As a student you can get free student editions of most software.

I’ve got a full free course on the channel if you’re interested :)
Your video editing is great, are you using a green screen? What program you use
Nope, after effect roto brush the entire thing instead.
I think D5 Render should be taken into consideration. Definitely the most promising software, and good pricing (even a very good free version).
When it’s compatible with Mac, then I’ll be sure to review it in depth
Thanks, looking forward to it!@@DavidTomic
Why isn't path tracer on in these videos. Path tracer will easily catch all the shadows over the ceiling and have more realistic effect
Because it doesn’t work on mac
You can always increase the sharpness in twinmotion camera settings
enscape looks better

@@DavidTomic correct. Which it is why it is confusing that the path tracing settings on the Mac aren't grayed out.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Hi there, i am a registered architect from Algeria. I hope to contact with other countries architects to learn and work more. Please do add 😊
Lumen in twinmotion is not that good compare to unreal engine due to lock of settings even in pathtracing. What I've like in TM it's free

Your voice sounds like AI
That’s because the audio was cleaned up via AI, the mic was fuzzy 😂
