He greeted the old girl like a lost love and I could see the memories flooding back. You gave him the best gift....even if it was for a brief moment....his youth. Don't change that truck one bit. Ride with him and listen.
Some people don't understand that this truck represents 70 years of one family's memories. He sees his grandpa his dad himself in that truck. Memories of the past come flooding back to him. The sights sounds good times laughs and cries of the lives he witnessed. All were faded memories until today. What an amazing gift you have given to your grandpa!
I am 70 and I have watched this video a couple of times. Awesome feel good video. You did a great thing. Real nice family. It’s the little things in life for sure! 👍👍👍
When your kids do stuff like this, it's your proof that you raised them right. They honor and respect their elders enough to do these things with their own time and money.
This is awesome!!! What a beautiful thing to do. Preserving family history while you're all still here to enjoy it! Hopefully, you guys have some fun doing some cruise ins and shows together.
It's amazing how well things survive not being in the rust belt. It's in incredible condition... Very cool, and a very cool present for your grandfather.
WOW nice video of your kindness to your Grandpa, It brings back memories of my 1957 IH truck I bought for just $100 while in the US Army in 1970 and I loved that old truck
I have always felt that people who can restore old cars, trucks, etc. not only restore a piece of history-they bring family together and reminisce the old days, days gone by. There were 3 generations brought together with this pickup truck restoration. Even the gals were checking it all out. What a great hobby!
With so much painful stuff going on in the world today, it was a special gift that you gave us to see something so positive. Rang my heartstrings. I'm a grandpa... and two months ago I got my brother's truck. As he was passing, he said, "...you take my truck...but remember...It's always mine". R.I.P., Mac. Thanks to you all...including Grandpa, for making me drop a few tears (of joy). I gotta get out tomorrow and polish up Mac's ride. She'll NEVER be sold.
How very cool is that. Lots of memories in that truck and many more to be made now is running again. It will be a family treasure for many more years. Very special 👌 Cheers from New Zealand
I miss my Paw Paw sooo much. I would give Anything to hold his hand and tell him thank you for making me the man I am today. When I was younger and I felt the world was against me ...He stood in my corner no matter what.
What an incredible moment in time that we can all share in this moment with you and your family. I truly enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing it with us… your grandpa’s reaction was a beautiful thing. ☮️♥️
It's brakes my hart when I see videos like this. and I know were this young man is coming from. In 1969 during the troubles in the north of Ireland. My dad brought my mum to the reuplic of Ireland in a Ford consul I came back with my dad to look after our home. I was 14 year's old. I found the car. and by the time it took to sort it out. It was to late. My dad past away. And I niver got to see his face when the car was finished. So this young man is very lucky to see the look on his grandfather's face. What a lovely thing to do. God bless you all of you.
In the 1960's our farm neighbour had a 1954 International . every Saturday afternoon he and his wife would pass our farm on their way to town to go shopping in their International . seeing this brings back alot of good memories because alot of farmers had those trucks .
Happy to see moments like this, it caused a tear to roll down my cheeks. That is one awesome what you guys did for your dad and grandpa, also happy to see another generation of car enthusiasts. Excellent video, be Excellent to each other!
It really good to a fmaily history come to life. I was lucky enough in my family that i got the family 1969 f100 and just recently i got my great grandmothers farm. Both are getting restored. Im glad your grandpa was around for you to share this with him!
Grandson I'm so proud of you words can't begin to explain. I know your grandpa was so very happy and I know he's very proud of you like your amazing dad is as well. I'm sorry I'm a tad late to the party but buddy THIS RIGHT HERE is EXACTLY what it is ALL about. And for the ones who don't understand I'm talking about FAMILY the ones who have your back once every one else has turned theirs! Much respect and love brother! God Bless and Godspeed to you ALL!
Great, touching video. I kept waiting for Gramps to give u guys a hug or at least a handshake. That really would have topped it off !! So glad you could make someone you love soooooo happy !!
That was awesome.. I could literally visualize the importance of the truck through your storytelling and his emotions. I can tell how your Dad was raised by your Grandpa. Because it's almost exactly how my Father expressed his happiness to my brother and myself. The Era of a real man's man. No hugging, you just kno he loves you and respects you. Great job!
I wish my dad was around to see a kid I had . Even though it suck’s sometimes , It makes me insanely happy to see multiple generations of family’s together . It makes me feel a little bit of that feeling through the screen ! Thanks for filming it
That is absolutely beautiful God bless that whole family, that’s a beautiful piece of history and this day and age it’s so hard to hold onto those little things that bring us amazing hope and great memories from our past!!! 😊❤ that’s beautiful to say that sweet old man has such a respectful family to show him all the amazing gratitude they have for hhim.
I lost me Granfather sometime ago, Just lost my father on the 3rd of Jan of 2023. THis video hit me hard! Your Grandfather is so PROUD of that truck, he may not be showing the joy, but i can see it.. Much respect from Detroit.!
I know what it's like losing a dad my dad past 12 years ago him and I always built hot rods and drag cars awesome memories I'm actually building my last one in the honor of my dad beautiful truck
In life it's said that when we reflect on such moments we won't always remember the exact words that were said nor the actions taken but, what we'll never forget is how we were made to feel. Well done on making pops moment a golden one. It counts.
Well, you managed to make me cry... wow what a precious gift you have given him... Your father did a good job raising you and you did the same raising a good kid. Full circle!

Now of children playing their own front yard and the parents not out there nosy neighbors will call the police and child protective services will come and remove the children and charge the parents with neglect. In high school, the guys carried rifles and shotguns in the cab of their trucks because they went hunting after school. We went rabbit hunting coyote hunting shot snakes turtles, whatever. We didn’t have cell phones then we didn’t have computers. We found things to do outside. We played cops and robbers, or Cowboys and Indians with sticks, we would build tree houses or forts. This is the sweetest thing to do for your grandpa. Seeing him tear up made me tear up and that doesn’t happen often. You’re blessed to have your grandpa and dad to enjoy the memories that you make with this old truck. I never got to see either one of my grandpa’s and lost my dad when he was barely 55. I remember when my grandad passed away, I went with my father to clean up the place and get it ready for sale. The good old BARTER system.... we need it back so we can cut "government" out of our business. 😅
That old man instantly became 40 years younger as soon as he got behind the wheel. If you know old men and trucks, you know exactly what I mean.
😂😂😂
That shot of the three generations standing beside the truck is treasure... Americana...

To most everyone on this planet, it's a bearen down, worn out old truck. To just a few, it represents part of a legacy and history.
THAT OLD TRUCK GOT MORE WORTH AND VALUE THAN MOST OF THESE PEOPLE ON THE PLANET
@@allanfranco4464Preach brother, That old truck has more character than the majority of the people breathing right now. 🤙🏼
Reuniting a man and his truck! Beautiful story! ❤
What I wouldn't give to ride shotgun with my grandpa in his old truck again. Time is fleeting. Cherish every moment
Memories are critical. We are losing family due to distance and apathy. So glad to see younger folks embracing the importance of memories and family.
Son,Dad and Grandpa with that truck is a real Family Tradition, priceless.

You guys got a big ❤ for Grandpa's OG 👴 🛻...💨 truck.

I remember when my grandad passed away, I went with my father to clean up the place and get it ready for sale. All the times I went to my grandad’s house I never went in the garage, but we went inside to see what needed to go to the dump or could be sold. There inside was a 1958 Dodge pickup, the windows had been vandalized but we popped the hood and saw the Firedome V8 was still intact. Your Grand Pa put in the Fire Dome Hemi that was not stock what a shame your Dad didnt keep it
Well done. I enjoyed your simplicity young man, stay honest, stay humble, stay kind. No frills needed.
