Everything was class back then. No vehicle looked the same as they all do today. People dressed with class and had respect for one another. ThankGod I got to experience it.
The old movies are better then the new stuff. @@R4D1UM
I’m older than dirt but even so lots of these vehicles are before my time. Great though looking at all the old pics. 👍🏻
Life is, but a bleek of an eye. Amazing the work ethic back in those days, nothing but pure respect for them. Great pics as usual 👌
@marybeck7594 The expression is blink (not bleek) of an eye but point taken..
You are right
I love old vehicles, they had heart , personality, no plastic, no electronics...jewels !!! I wish to have one of this car or truck ❤...nice pictures ! Grestings from Romania
So nice to see pictures of people actually smiling instead of absorbed with a cellphone.
I was born at about the end of this era, Horses were still used also. Take me back.
That hydraulic ram on the Ford truck @ :22 was big enough for five times that payload.
Back when trucks were used to haul loads, not egos. Its rare to see an actual real pickup truck today. Regular cab 2wd 6 or 8 ft bed .
At 4:35 to 4:55........REO Speedwagon followed by Buffalo Springfield. lol Good one!
I wondered if anyone caught on?
I can remember The Helms Bakery trucks and the wonderful aroma when the Helmsman opened up the two back doors. 👍 Los Angeles.
🏆I need a 🍀time machine 😎✌️
- And pulled out those long drawers -
@@johnhaddad3401 yes. I can also remember a small chalkboard with the specials written on it.
I love the vintage work trucks. Often we see vintage cars so its nice to see the trucks
I prefer the black and white photos. They reinforce the antiquity.
2:55 I think that may be the coolest looking bus I've ever seen!
That was great. There was a fraction of the technology we have today but they still were able to build some real work horses.
One of the trucks was labeled Golden Guernsey Dairy. That was a Wisconsin milk producer headquartered in Waukesha, Wisconsin. It was in business until 2013.
Wow - that’s really cool to know. Sad to hear it lasted so long, but is gone now. Thanks for pointing this out!
Love the COEs!!
And, the old Mack with solid rubber tires and chain-drive!!!
AWESOME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks. I have a 54 Chev p/u in garage restored to original. 6 volt and all;!!
Thanks for putting these together. Great work 🙏
Wow! Being an old timer, I remember a lot of these vehicles ❤
REO Speedwagon....Buffalo Springfield. Very good! 😅🎶
What's interesting is back then the trucks were way under sized and under powered and over loaded for the job. Now people think they need a one ton truck just to take the kids to school.
Well, the kids are kinda heavy these days.
The wonders of the manual transmision there is not loss of power so those anemic 6 inline engines could do the job also the "big ones" had an overdrive gear in the rear axle making
You have to love the Hudson Hornet cop car at 1:41!
I think I would really like to have one of those old delivery trucks. Really neat to see what a really old Mack truck looked like. Our cars today look okay, but they don't look near as fancy or elegant as these much older vehicles were.
I like the old trucks to. Some people buy kit cars that look like the old trucks and cars and build them in the garage.
I bought a 1953 Chevrolet cargo truck/van. I bought it in Denver in 1969 for probably a couple hundred bucks and that truck today, in the same condition would probably be worth at least maybe 4K? It was just a stripped out delivery truck. No rust, ran good. I’m such a dope for not realizing what a gold mine it was. I’m absolutely positive that truck is in a car show somewhere. 😩
In your project, you've skillfully interwoven the allure of 1960s Hollywood with the compelling narratives of these talented individuals, creating an utterly captivating and immersive viewing experience
Great to see such vehicles
These are good videos of days gone by. It would be great to see a video of vintage police cars.
Yes, I'd have preferred the original b&w rather than the usually unauthentic colonisation. Apart from that, some gems of pictures here.
Love the ole USA..TIME. TRAVEL & PEOPLE who were not afraid to get out and work for what was needed to make it in life...
Whatta pleasant, nostalgic, wonderful video 😊. The only sad part is knowing that all these smiling, happy people are long gone now.
❤just found your channel, subscribed and thumbs up 👍, I'm a retired Firefighter and a Mechanic of 40 years, Scotty Kilmor has 10 years ahead of me but he wasn't also Firefighter, lol dont get me wrong, nothing but love for Scotty.
I like how you keep some of the black and white in the picture to remind us it was once monochromatic. Mainly a hand I've noticed. Really Cool! Ty!❤
A very nice video.
It's amazing how consistently perfect all of your videos are!
Hard working old trucks....cool seeing them doing what they did............
Those were nice to see.
Wow...a Buffalo-Springfield roller and an REO Speed Wagon truck. Sounds like a music tour through time, as well.
Great and interesting presentation. Fine music for the journey, too. Onward!
Thank you!
That was great and really sweet guitar!
A fantastic compilation of American automotive history! Thanks.
I love seeing these old vehicles, thank you for posting.
Wow great video, thanks.
Beautiful ❤
I like these videos, to relax in the time before I get to work. Keep them coming, please.
Amazing photos love them vans

These are wonderful! Thanks a lot for your video, sir💯👍
That warmed my heart: "reo Speedwagon and especially Buffalo Springfield" . Thanks.
Packard tour "bus!"
Excellent! Very original material !
Excellent!
Wonderful trip, great cars and trucks, great pictures, thanks
Cars had style and were built to last back then , also they did not cost a fortune to service and repair.
Great content cheers 🥂 😊
Great work. Greetings from Poland.
Love your wit and humor thanks!
Beautiful ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Awesome photos. !
Thanks - I'm glad you like them!
@@TheHistoryLounge can you please do vintage Japan photos in Color please
@@mrnekokittycatsaki1419 Careful...Hiroshima and Nagasaki ain't gonna look too good after WW II...B&W or colorized.☹
Very nice car and motorcycle 's.
Brilliant!
Awesome! Thanks a lot
Lovely music.

Beautiful
7:52 Red car is a Willy’s Jeepster produced 1948-50 and sold through 1951.
Really nice.
Thanks...enjoyed the REO/B-S reference.
Gracias
What a fantastic channel.
coolest video ever!
Nice(!!) 🙂.
REO / Buffalo Springfield 😊
Re Japan vs American produced. I have an old looking 2010 Ford Ranger but the sadness is not how the work went to Asia but how it is impossible to buy a small truck like that now. My truck with crank down windows was nearly the last year that it was possible to get any kind of small truck. It is obscene how large these American trucks have become. Good video. Commercial vehicles are so cool. Thanks.
A 🇺🇸5 star video.
My grandpa had a panel truck in the 1960's similar to the one in the thumbnail. It was old then.
Ha ! Caught that musical group reference there .
They missed the opportunity to show a vehicle equipped with a Bachman Turner overdrive.
@@bobknull7502 maybe next time . Ha !
Echos to our past. Or should just say our forefathers 🎉
It would be cool if any of these vehicles survived today
Don't forget the old panel trucks hauling hippies to rock concerts and protests in the 60's
Wait. You mean REO Speedwagon and Buffalo Springfield were actual vehicles? 😮
Yeah lol REO was Ransom E. Olds, founder of both REO and Oldsmobile.
Pretty sure the band was named after the Buffalo Springfield rifle .
@@richdorak1547 According to "The Rolling Stone Encyclopedia of Rock & Roll" ...the group (named after a farm vehicle)...
Who is playing the great music in this video
It's back up in the video description drop-down.
Until now I only thought REO Speedwagon was a rock group
I think my 56 Dodge truck 1st gear might give it a run for the money. 5mph at 3200 rpm redline.
Here we go again a Buffalo Springfield? Damn I thought that was a band also😵💫
hey we all have to start somewhere like mack
Back when cars and trucks were made in the USA! Nowadays, they are mostly from Japan and South Korea. Of course, mostly everything else is made in China. What happened to our country?
Japaniese vehicles are legit!
Corporate greed, and consumers wanting more and more stuff at cheaper prices. We’re all to blame.
@R50_J0 Corporate greed ? Your full of you kniwcwhat.
@@kristoffMR What? What does that mean? Try to use your brains.
@@roncaruso931 Unaware who bent the dialog concerning offshoring? Respectable heads of manufacturing industries wrote what offshoring would produce in minute detail; patent theft - infringement, inadequate materials & quality control, inability to source replacement parts, delays in procurement, unbalanced trade, manipulated monetary exchange rates, markets flooded with crappy products. . . That's not a 1/10 of issues predicted.
The lesser companies looked at importation to slash labor and material costs were all in, via hordes of lobbyists. Such begat the importers and distributors, who produce nothing at all. Consumers focused on price vs quality ate it up.
Can you make out the name on the sign of the Willys Sales and Service in Ohio photograph? My family had a dealership and wondered if it could be a picture of it. Thanks
🍀Wowzers 😎✌️
Everything was so clean and tidy for the most part back then. Now people are slobs and trash everywhere .
Lo triste ,las personas y los vehículos de las fotos que de seguro que ya no esten aqui.que esas máquinas se allan ido juntos con sus conductores...😢
2:29 This might be an ambulance/hearse/utility vehicle version of a Cadillac LaSalle.
Where are these vehicles now available? Please let me know
I'm pretty sure all these cars and trucks are in the scrapyard by now.
A REO speed wagon? Hell I thought that was a band. Any connection?
The band "borrowed" the name from the vehicle manufacturer. It was originally a company that made cars and trucks. REO was the company founder's initials: Ransom E. Olds. He also founded Oldsmobile, but sold it to General Motors, then started Reo.
Thanks
2:03 ' Proctors' Cleaners'.......?......hmm. I used to drive taxi for years. Took many people, to the ' cleaners ' and back again. Ha ha
😊
The Police motorcycle pictured is an Indian, not a Harley FYI
It's a 74ci Harley UL flathead, not an Indian.
No safety glass. Those shards of glass cut a person up horribly. No safety belts to keep you from going thru the glass & being shredded.
@keitholiver7856 Necessity is the mother of invention, old boy
That built character and put hair on your chest.
Didn't really need it back then people we more responsible and didn't have all the distractions like today.
I believe safety glass was mandated in 1937 so a lot of those cars probably have it
