Just a quick anecdote on why I think Agadmator may be one of the greatest chess visionaries of our time. When he started promoting Pragg's games, there were quite a few snide remarks here in the comment section. At that time, Pragg was in the 2650+ range and 88th in the world. In fact he was behind the remaining three (at that time) teens of Indian chess (Arjun, Gukesh, Nihal) by quite a margin. Fast forward to today and he is in the top 10 and appears to be getting stronger all the time. Clearly Agadmator saw something many others didn't (including me). Hoping to continue to marvel the glory of great chess play and great narration on this channel for many more years to come.
I realize Fabi lost this game but he always amazes me with his subtle queen moves. He slides it one square over to E8 only so he can get it into the game with a subsequent move to H5. It's just amazing to watch. You should slip in some mini pause the video moments for subtle moves like this, because it really is amazing to watch and think about.
Watching Agadmator's videos everyday will improve your chess skills greatly, he's the best teacher at it. The grandmasters may play better, but He teaches better.
Long before most on this channel were even born, Reshevsky was a firm believer of making his opponents work for their meal. When he continued in a lost position, Botvinnik says 'Further "Resistance" is hopeless'. After falling into a trap against Keres, in AVRO, losing a piece for 2 Pawns he continued playing. After losing his Queen for 2 minor pieces in a Sicilian against Fischer, he continued playing. To be fair, it must be said, anything can happen, since most mortals cannot predict the future. During a game in Capablanca Memorial (Fischer had to play remotely with Teletype) a player in a lost position, instead of resigning, sealed his move, his opponent did not return, having died of heart attack!
The computer engines have spoiled the players and the viewers. Those games are "drawn" only with perfect play, but humans are not computers that is why Magnus sometimes can still "squeeze water out of stone" out of these "drawn" endgames.
Great game and awesome narration, as usual! The always gentlemanly Antonio reveals his chess darkside/killer instinct from about 15:00 to 15:10. If I ever play you Agadmator and if I'm not winning decisively (as if!) I'm quitting at 14 minutes and 59 seconds to spare myself being ground into dust :^). Best wishes always from a long time subscriber and benefactor of your channel. Peter
1300 here with a question. Why at 5:55 shouldnt white move f4 instead of f3 after blacks Re8? Before this my thought was to move the kin to f3 to attack the knight so thats why i said f4 first instead of f3. Besides a break away pawn on the left side of the board, that i feel like would be easy to counter; Id love to hear your thoughts.
Then you commit a pawn to defend a knight on an end game where knight should move around. You doom your own knight to become passive center piece. Its okay for middle game but for end game... Too passive
"Rooks are drawish pieces, but knights are tricky bastards." - such a deep quote for endgames with a one pawn difference! Beautiful endgame by Pragg! Looking forward to seeing him as World No. 1 sometime not too far ahead.
@6:10 why did not he capttre on b5 and attack the night so that. e2 pawn can be saved bypusing it to e3 Moreover b pawn is pass pawn I dont understand?
At 2:00. Fabian has 3 pawn islands, a less secure King, and a Bishop w/ no targets. I assume this is Praggs prep but is this really the position Fabi wanted?
when i see the top20 i ask myself, if a top 10 terminology does even makes sense anymore? especially around the tenth spot with lets say 2750 as the middle its 7 players, maybe 8 with max 10 elo points difference.
Not looking good for Fabi. He's going to lose again today to Hikaru. Then he faces Magnus last round. So there's two losses there. He'll beat Ding again. As a Fabi fan it's painful to see my guy doing poorly.
Excellent to watch Pragg's star rise.
15:01 "If you're up a pawn, you know it's a draw, don't give it to your opponent - make him suffer for two hours."
Ouch!!!!!
Also, if the opponent has an important date at the bar or the library, they might have to forfeit if the game goes on too long!

Anand still being that high after all these years is amazing. It wouldn't surprise me if Prag is world champion one. day. Cheers.
Prag's endgame in this match (and also against Magnus Carlsen) was Magnus Carlsen like. 👌
Following his master's footsteps. Pragg is showing magnus aura from past few years
@@namikazeswapnil671 He should be. Don't wait Magnus to retire to be the best. Beating the best as number 1 is the greatest achievement he can get

Yeah but Gukesh did it when it counted. Just like when Ponomariov defeated Ivanchuk at the critical moment.

Great endgame technique by pragg, even under time pressure
Yeah, commentators expected a blunder from Pragg rather than Fabi !
Pragg we root for you🎉🎉. Keep going.. all the best. My goodwill be with you

@agadmator Awesome work on covering the tournament
“A whole lot of horsing around!” How does he say that with a straight face?!
😂 Great deadpan delivery by Agad.

Passive chess is pretty much losing always.
Ding Liren's present form is confirming that Gukesh D is going to be crowned as the youngest World Champion ever !!!
Never underestimate ding, he was nowhere in candidates and was underdog in championship against nepo.. he is a fighter
Currently he is fighting his depression@@sbramp
@@sbramp I agree. Although Ding hasn't had a great time as champion he proved that he has the temperament to win under pressure.
Please do not fall on the trap of overconfidence. There is still five months time left for that match to take place.
Gukesh won't be taking his spot lol
Just was waiting for this video
Nice endgame by Pragg coming through a mistake could’ve easily been made but he was flawless Fantastic Thanks for the Game
On 11:19 black can sac a knight and after white takes it on g4 black can play Kg5 and attack both N and pawn. That leads to draw.
Praggu🔥🔥
Sorry something weird happening downstairs. Me too Agad. Me too
Me too. Maybe it's last night's curry.
(ADDED: *bends over* "Sorry about that!")
Thanks for the analysis agad. Bravo
Brilliant game by Prag!!! ❤
Hats off to agadamador for such amazing content
Ding Liren is playing everyone, Gukesh better come prepared. He may find a vicious and crafty world champion. No one currently knows his prep

Hey Agad, you left the quote hanging from the previous video.
Probably he recorded the video yesterday...
I'd keep a quote like that for at least a month 😂

“That’s a lot of horsing around.”
Anyone know what Agadmator does when he says "Sorry about that..." and thenreaches below the table to do something?
Prag s endgame is very good..he makes very few mistakes in endgames..here he almost squeezed water from stone..like Carlsen
It still want the bar, you asume i dont understand..........but for me its makes is more exiting.

These endgames are frigging brutal!

What is he doing at "sorry about that"?
Feel sorry for fabi. Loses twice because of one mistake very late in the game
I prefer strange noises from downstairs to an engine bar.

Congrats Prag. First time we have three super GMs in top 10.❤

‘Knights are tricky bastards.’
We, The People, hereby thank thee for not putting the Engine evaluation bar on your videos!!
After he says Something wierd happening downstairs, instead of Nc3, Fabi should have played Re7.
I always wonder why you say "sorry about that" in most of your videos. What do you adjust?

Library and bar for human games.
Fabi new name is time trouble.
You are a good analyser yet You need to be qualitative
It's a young man's game.
"Knights are tricky bastards"
I don't understand fabi makes him often more difficult by offering a pawn without compensation. Look at his games...
