Larry, The VW Thing with the Blue and White paint is a '74 VW Alcapulco Thing. It was designed for 2 resorts in Alcapulco and only around 400 were ever made. Rare and valueable Thing ! The top alone is worth some serious $.
Amazing. I love cars of all types. Modified or stock. Especially Hondas from the 80-90’s era. I can’t believe I’m just now finding out about this place. Hats off gentlemen. Hats off.
Damn they are so close to me I would love to have a gander at that wonderful palace. Super dope work, awesome cars all about, I dig. I’m sure it can be hohum for the worker, but to an outsider that place looks like a gem.
Us local car nuts are blessed to have Griot's near us. The monthly Caffeine & Gasoline draws a very eclectic, unpretentious mix. VW Microbus, 250 GTO, Dodge Aspen, Honda Beat all welcome.
EV will only create more classics. That Grand Marquis is a perfect example. Give it a few years and jelly bean Taurus wagons will be cool. Nissan Cube will be a future one.
Japanese cars are by far the best engineered cars before anything else. I’m building my first BMW e46 and compared to my collection of 240sx’s and even my C6 Vette the BMW is such a poorly designed car. Throughout the build process I been saying to myself what the hell were the BMW engineers smoking when they designed them? They are definitely cool but quirky. But That is what makes cars amazing.
Took me like 15 mins on the previous video to realize that this was not in any way related to the automotive detailing product company of a similar name lol
This is what a true car enthusiast looks like amazing
Dynamic guy...

Was great getting to meet you at FD Seattle. Thanks for taking the time out to chat with me. Hope to see you out here again soon.
Such an incredible video series Larry. And as a local to the area, so cool to see what we have here. Would love to see you go to the LeMay collection…

That z is the best car in the bunch. Build that thing.

Got to take a tour of this earlier this week. Such an amazing collection. My Range Rover Classic 2-Door makes a cameo at 0:41!
I was admiring it last week! My red Dodge A100 pickup was there. Well no longer mine as I went to sign the title over to the new owner.
Silverline is the name he was thinking of when he was talking about the brakes on 240Z.
That Lmp2 race car is David Cheng’s car he won the 2017 24 hours of Le Mans in that Lmp class with that car/ Jackie Chan racing team.
I have pictures of that blue corvette grand sport!!
Huge Griots fan, so awesome Larry!
Have a Subaru B4 steering rack in there anywhere? lol
Hey Larry chen
I wish you had said at least one question about the two VW R32s, you literally walked in between them twice
I wanna learn more about their organization and catalogging system along with their app.

Fun Fact: They’re actually the same company! Griots Garage is their retail brand and they also have Griots Motors as the restoration shop.
They are the same company.
It sounds like the parent company is the detailing products brand, this restoration company is a offshoot of the detailing brand
Don’t like that dude.
