Has anyone tested this out in the rain, we have heavy rain in the UK I've got an Alpinestars textile jacket which says it's waterproof but it lets rain through during heavy showers...
During a heavy rain I would expect some level of intrusion through the neck area and the cuffs if you are out long enough. With that said I would not expect the material itself to allow water to pass through. - Van
