  • How to find deep water smallmouth bass in glacial lakes! This is a video I've been meaning to do for sometime, and while I was out fishing on Lake Winnipesaukee scouting new water for the high school bass fishing team I coached, I realized I finally had a perfect opportunity to do this. Finding deep water smallmouth isn't as hard as it seems. While different technology does make life a whole lot easier, you'd be surprised how much you can still get done with just a good depth chart of the body of water you're on, or a good pair of polarized sunglasses! This video goes a little more in depth on finding deep water smallmouth while using more electronics, but there's some good information for those that just have traditional 2D sonar!

Something a little different than usual, but is more like the kind of videos I did when I got started. I keep meaning to work more of these more technically specific videos here and there, because I absolutely love doing them. It's fun to share the more intimate knowledge in deeper detail to help others get better at fishing, which always has been and always will be my goal with the channel. Hope you all found this helpful!

@@ReelNorthernBass your channel would grow exponentially if you could be the go-to guy on finding bass. Too many hold that info close because they fish tournaments. God bless you guys. Glad i found your channel

Big fan of this kind of content. I'm always looking for more info to help me improve, even though I still have the worst fish finder on the planet lol.

Up here in Nova Scotia we find our big girls trolling with floating rapalas that look like a alewife or trout. Its keeping it simple and it seems to work

Very helpful. Looking forward to more of this type of video. Thanks for helping us all improve. Big lakes, deep water, short season. I need all the help I can get!

Thanks Chris, I appreciate it. One of the other things I've been working towards is getting a weekly livestream going too, and I'll do it here on the channel. The goal of that is to give more detailed information like this, but in a real time setting, since I'm usually a couple of weeks off between when I actually fished, and when I upload that video. Between that and more detailed videos like this, I'm hoping I can help a lot of anglers out.

@@ReelNorthernBass I'd be up for that. I've never watched anybody's live stream "live" (only later), but I'd make a point to be there if possible. Thanks
