    Hi Winson, I am about to replace my rubbers on my Fan Zhendong ALC and will refer to this video. I have one question though, what is your opinion on edge tape? Is it necessary and should i use it for the whole racket or just half?

    • @ttpassion
      @ttpassion  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi AstaMak, it's a good question. If you noticed, most of the pros would apply edge tape only for about half the racket. From my understanding, by doing this it will shift the weight balance on the blade and result in a more powerful loop for the them. In my opinion, this is probably useful for advanced players as they can be very sensitive to minor shift in weight balance. For casual players like myself, edge tape is more to protect the edge from accidental knocks. Usually, i don't apply edge tape as I consciously refrain from getting any knocks.

    Hi Winson, where did you buy the butterfly blade? Some of the Fan Zhendong ALC and Super ALC doesn’t have the serial number…

    • @ttpassion
      @ttpassion  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, I bought mine from Japan. You can try amazon japan to see if it ships to your location. I would strongly advise not to buy those without serial number as it is likely to be fake.

    Hi do you have thoughts or review of FZD ALC now that you would have tested it thoroughly. Also if u have used LGY ALC how does it compare please?

    • @ttpassion
      @ttpassion  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Deep74, thanks for your question. I do have a review on FZD ALC. Here's the link to it: th-cam.com/video/0JPsXEaQzlg/w-d-xo.html
      In comparison to LGY ALC, I would say the difference between the two is not huge. If you are already using LGY ALC, I'd suggest to continue using it instead of switching to FZD ALC.

      @deep7496 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ttpassion hi sorry I didn’t notice you had done a review. Yes I’m using LGY for past year but need to get a outer alc blade for my son so it’s either LGY or FZD. I understand the difference would be small but are u able to highlight difference? I have heard FZD is softer which is a surprise as LGY was already a soft blade. I find LGY has great Control but have heard FZD has been rated the most Controlled butterfly outer alc blade

    • @ttpassion
      @ttpassion  ปีที่แล้ว

      @Deep74 no worries. If it's getting a brand new blade, then definitely go for FZD ALC. FZD ALC has excellent control and probably is one of the best in comparison to most outer ALC blades out there. If your child is already playing for some time, it will be a good choice. However, if your child is a beginner, I feel that using a non carbon wood blade would be more suitable as it helps in strengthening the basics and allowing greater control while learning. Just my 5 cents worth.

    would you recommend this racket setup?

    • @ttpassion
      @ttpassion  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Meg, thanks for the question. Fundamentally, it all depends on individual as different rubbers may have different performance for each of us. Personally, I'm still testing Dignics 80 for FH and 09C for BH and seeing positive results. I used to use boosted Hurricane 3 FH and Dignics 05 BH. I love Hurricane 3 but after trying Dignics series, I'm keen to explore using it permanently. It would be great if any of your friends are using it and you could borrow to test the rubber. Alternatively, can try buying used rubbers that are still in good condition too.

      Is it hard to peal off the used glue for dhs15 while re-glueing the blade? Is it chopping the sponge?

    • @ttpassion
      @ttpassion  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi mahmudi, thanks for the question. It depends on which rubber. For hurricane 3 i have no issue peeling it off. But on tensor rubbers, some times small bits of sponge gets peeled off.
