Why leave protective film on while boosting. Some say to take off as it prevents rubber from curling. Also some say to boost on sponge directly and no need to put glue layer first. Your comments?
Hi Dipak, thanks for the comment. Yes, the protective film does prevent the rubber from curling. It's my preference to keep the film on until after I cut the rubber to prevent amy accidental stain of glue or booster on the rubber surface. As for the layer of glue before booster, I find that it aids in removing the layer of dried glue for reapplication of booster in future without damaging sponge and rubber. Hope this clarifies. Cheers!

Hi, I purchase frequently from taobao and here are some tips that I can share in order to buy genuine items from taobao. Always check the shop rating and review comments that people leave. Only buy from shop with excellent rating. Avoid buying it if the price looks too good to be true. Also, look at how long the shop has been on taobao. It's safer to buy from shops that are around for a long time.
I usually use 3 layers of voc glue on rubber then apply 1 thin layer of wbg on both sponge & blade to stick them & seal off the gas from voc glue. Nearly same effect as true booster with almost no waiting time, but you need to reglue every week.
Hi NoTengIlusiones, thanks for the question. Boosting of rubbers are common for chinese rubbers such as Hurricane 3. The effects of boosting the rubber in short is to increase the tension of the sponge in order to create more spin, speed, and feeling. In my opinion, this effect is about 10 to 15% after boosting. If you are using tensor rubber, normally it is already pre-boosted or tuned during manufacturing to increase it's tension. Hence, there's no need to boost a tensor rubber. Thanks for the suggestion too on creating a video about rubber boosting. I will add this topic to my content creation list too. 😁
