Your Mum is just such a beautiful spirit- you're blessed to have each other! I am mixed, with a European-American Mom (who funny enough grew up in Togo) and a Rwandese Dad.... I was born and raised in Kenya, now living in US- the biggest smile on my face came when your Mom spoke about the social intelligence she learned about when being around Africans or being in Africa- it is one of those intangibles that is so amazing to experience, and I understand her desire to want to share it with others! Thank you for your video 💗
Excellent interview. Your mom is beautiful and honest. She definitely understands other cultures, especially that of blacks. You have to be proud of her!
I am late seeing this interview but I truly respectfully enjoyed the conversation. Your mother is wise and spiritually connected to the essence of humanity. I salute the both of you. Enjoying this from the USA.
Listening to your mum speak about racism gives goosebumps and tears. She's been welcoming since she was a little girl. May God bless her with many many years.

I will be sharing this video with everyone in my phone contacts and on my facebook page as well thanks for sharing your mom with us and her thoughts this was great keep up the great work.
I am so glad you’re doing this video! I just love your mom! My husband is from GHANA and I agree with your mom and love the culture and the people they are so loving we are planning our move to Ghana and I can’t wait I am so disheartened with the way things have been going here. We were all created by God in his image and I have taught my daughter the same thing anyone who says then one human being is less then because of something they did not choose but something God chose for them does not understand anything about who we are as human beings. I often times feel ashamed at how my people have done when my daughter and I went to Cape coast it was truly devastating to know what had happened. What is even more disheartening is what is going on around the world today and help people feel it is OK I hope that through this video people will understand that not all white people are evil and not all have hatred in their heart but there are some of us who say everybody the same And love all people. Thank you once again what a powerful video
You couldn't said it any better, bravo🙏🏻🙏🏻 is God doing but others are try to destroy it,,, lm in biracial relationship and everytime you pass by people, they had certain ways of looking at you

Awee, I love your Mom. That social interaction is what I seek. You can literally run errands all day here in Florida and not have a conversation with a single soul. A person can be in a Sea of people and still feel lonely. In America we get a lot of people that come to the Emergency room for loneliness, it is very sad. This lonely culture was not as prevalent as it is today in America. Today it is not just the older people that are lonely but young people as well. I wonder how we as a people can fix this because it seems like it is only getting worse. The more popular social media is the more lonely people are becoming.
Ana, you and your mom are exceptional! What a candid and insightful video. You are blessed to have such a mum and dad. You are a gifted interviewer. Much love. Greetings from New Orleans, Louisiana USA.
The first time I viewed this Chanel was quite recently but it was the vlog when they were relocating to Ghana. My first thoughts were how cool and calm Anna's response to situations that I would have exploded to. After watching this interview, now see where the intelligence and serenity emanated. Since then, I haven't been able to not watch on a daily bases. I really enjoyed the frankness, the openness, the content and the maturity of the dialogue. Continue doing a good job Anna. God bless.
your mom is so conscious, open minded, understanding, and accepting of the atrocities of slavery and the need for retribution in order to reconcile our differences. we need more people like her willing to speak out about this subject matter, and for governments willing to right the obvious wrongs of slavery. no amount of money can EVER pay for such unimaginable treatments of another human being. however, it can perhaps allow the decendants of those who have experienced the remnants of such inhumanity to become more open and trusting of their oppressors. thank you for this continuously needed conversation. I see you have quickly bypassed the 50k mark. again, here's to reaching 100k soon!
Anna your mom is a joy... thank you once again for sharing your mom with us.💕 You should have millions of subscribers... it’s coming. Your videos are so wonderful... just showing “ life”.
Hey! This was very beautiful, Anna. Your mother is a lovely person. I also think her chosen profession as an artist engaged her humanity, and made her into the person she became. She is also brave, we need more people like her. Enjoy her, she's a rare and unique person.
You are right but I think it is the other way rather. That her innate humanity led her to that profession. She chose a professional path that complimented her personality.
@@edmcgeman5084 I think her humanity existed before she chose her career path, in as much as she was born. It was her creativity that led her to choose an aspect of her creativity's engagement, ipso facto, that further formed her into the person she is.
Very interesting interview with your mom, she is well informed, knows the history to the core. One thing that strikes the most was her saying the reason why the Europeans and the Americans would never admit to the atrocities they had committed during and after Slavery, it is because they have to make Amend, something they will never do, she is just correct. She should be teaching History in some University. I have been twice to the Netherlands during my University years, and I have seen the make up of the Country.
I could not say your mother is color blind because we all see color. You are white and am black, but the end of the day is the heart that matters, and our thoughts towards humanity and that is your mother. She saw human, not color. Great content and you are lucky to have both parents that love you and always there to share their past with you.
@@maxamillionfrontiers9768 so if that is the case that we are colour blind we should not be paying attention of the things that we wear when going out. Do we? I never associate myself with the term colour blind. “Humanity”, yes
She said she didn't see colour when she was young... That's the truth for all children, they don't understand the concept of race until they grow older,so she's not wrong, she said when she moved to another city and was much older and exposed to many more races, then she started to see the difference, but being exposed to just 1 black kid, especially in a society where no-one refers to the kid as black, other kids won't see it
@@TEEJAY-ej5xt Understand the context. We are not speaking about the literal colour of one's clothes. come on,You know that. What we are speaking about is how she relates to and accepts people without seeing or judging them by their race or colour. That is the concept of colour blind. Relating it to clothes and colour is making trivial a serious matter
We all see colour even children see colour what you are saying is people don’t attribute a certain bagage to skin complexion until they are socialized to do that.
Soooo my son walked in as I'm watching this...hears your mom's voice and turns my tablet around and says "mom I sat beside this lady on the KLM flight back to Canada Feb 27th". He says he chatted with her in depth but she forgot to tell about your youtube channel 🤣 He says she is so lovely and told him she needed WiFi to let you guys know she's ok. Evidently your brother was picking her up from the Schipol airport. What a small world. My son is 18.
I like when your mom said " "the extremes" as far how racism is today. We have to deal with it now than in the past. This is so true. I believe it's true worldwide. Not just the US and European countries. Racism needs to be dealt with. I love how she answered your questions. Your mom LIVED life and experienced a lot and knows a lot. Very informative. She's cool too!😀
My husband is Dutch and all his family and friends love me. The race thing was never an issue and I always feel welcome and happy. Just depends on the people I guess.
You are so lucky to have such an amazing mother. She has always been so progressive...even when she was a child. Very impressive. Also, her English is so good with almost no Dutch accent.
I am seeing this video after you’ve gone back to the netherlands, and my tears welled in my eyes, when your mother spoke about the sitting time with her in law. What made this interview so good is how you spoke to your mom and the questions you ask her as if she was a stranger i would forget that's your mom from the way You Are approaching her with the questions not just simple questions this was very intriguing so good it almost felt short but this is one of your long video so thats crazy glad to get insight from both side peace and love.
Beautiful video, your mother is a kind soul. You both speak English perfectly as well, that’s definitely a gift that she gave to you and you’ve passed on to your children!
Wow Very impactful interview. Love your mum's spirituality. @when she said "we just sat without talking to each other but got up together to do chores and felt like we sat there and had a good conversation". That was an epiphany.
I am so proud of you my sister. You are planting the seed and nurturing the seedlings for unity. The seed represents the truth about our reality. I am proud of the way your mother was truthful about her reality and how she was comfortable in sharing it. The seedlings represent the issues that we must come to terms with. I pray that the Divine Oneness will continue to rain upon you wisdom and love. Keep doing as you are inspired to do. Nuff love for you and your family.
Ana , that was an amazing interview you had with your mom. I felt she was very candid with all her answers. You showed a picture on the video of you and your brother when you guys were small, that picture look identically like Sophie. Please show Sophie a side by of you and her that age.
*Your mom is such a beautiful humble smart woman. You're so lucky to have a mom like her. This was such an honest mom daughter conversation and I enjoyed it alot. It made me somehow emotional !*
Dear Anna, thank you for another very informative video. I watched this video on three occasions. The dynamism of your mother is amazing. We can see where you have inherited your energy. I was touched by her honesty and love of all humans regardless of their race or background. She is a truly beautiful lady. I was fascinated to hear her perspective of being in Amsterdam for the 1st time. Love the expression 'social intelligence'. You need to understand that we in the UK are not taught Dutch history save for the Royal family links, water management and ship building. The other thing that fascinated me was listening to her translate her caring thoughts into English for the majority of us to understand exactly what she wants to convey. We are proud of the efforts you and your mother make because it is easy to forget that you actually have your own primary language, namely Dutch. By the way, OMG how your daughter looks exactly like you when you were a small girl! My final point is to wish her many more days of dancing because the way she explained the rythm of dancing, we know she is the definition of a strong brave woman.
Your mom is very intelligent. Retribution’s are a sore tabu subject that historical slavers don’t want to face or discuss. Awesome conversation Anna. 💃🏽🎉🥰🇺🇸
Your mother is a testament of what our Creator created us to be. Just TO LOVE ONE ANTOHER. I believe racism is learnt behaviour, as we naturally gravitate to energies. Image a world without media communications throughout the ages programming our thoughts and behaviours etc. How would we know how to dislike, treat badly, murder etc certain types of people, and humanity just except it 🤔 Brilliant content. Love & light 💕
Wow....... spectacular interview. Your moms soul is different and unique amongst the masses of whites. She should be celebrated for her continued contribution to bring people together. She's brave, confident and honest. You both find value in the culture of Ghanaian people. I've watched your interview with your dad as well and you come from beautiful souls. I'm Canadian and raised in America. Ii live in Bermuda now and although 70% blacks, they are not as welcoming as I see in Africa. Thanks for all your videos.

Thank you karen
Aww bless your mum, such a strong influential woman. More Grace🙏🏾
Beautiful video, your mother is a kind soul. You both speak English perfectly as well, that’s definitely a gift that she gave to you and you’ve passed on to your children!
That's common for Dutch people to speak good English...
What a wonderful human being your mom is! A very genuine and thoughtful human being.
Wow
Very impactful interview.
Love your mum's spirituality. @when she said "we just sat without talking to each other but got up together to do chores and felt like we sat there and had a good conversation". That was an epiphany.
Your mum is the most honest woman from Europe I have listened to .
Lovely interview, your mother is socially engaged, not surprising as so are you, great questions so refreshing, like mother like daughter.🙂
Great and enlightening conversation. Bless you ma'am. We are coming back home.
Your mom is so down to earth and honest. It’s refreshing. Love your channel
It’s nice to see your the other side of family that makes up who you are.
Great interview. Thank you Anna. And thank MOM for her honesty.
Ana , that was an amazing interview you had with your mom. I felt she was very candid with all her answers. You showed a picture on the video of you and your brother when you guys were small, that picture look identically like Sophie. Please show Sophie a side by of you and her that age.
Aww very eloquently spoken.Yoyr mother is greatly
I enjoyed every bit of the Interview 😍
This is so touching. God bless your Mom for educating us. Much love from Nigeria.
*Your mom is such a beautiful humble smart woman. You're so lucky to have a mom like her. This was such an honest mom daughter conversation and I enjoyed it alot. It made me somehow emotional !*
This Chanel is very informative and truthful!! 👏🏾
Was interesting to watch, honest responses from your mum.
Truth!
Mijn complimenten voor deze aflevering. Wat een bijzonder slimme moeder heb je. Heel open en boeiend gesprek.
Wow....... spectacular interview.
Wow,very nice and honest conversation between you and your mom.
