i really can't wait for the tutorial where u explain how these different layout pages, and the colorful diagramatic graphics are made IN RHINO! AWESOME GOLD MINE OF A CHANNEL. all love!
I used this to get a FLIR effect for my thesis and it was such a godsend for animating cameras in Rhino without any post processing or video editing. So glad you’re showing people more practical applications. Looking forward to your deeper layout series!!
Such great tutorials, and great work Niko. You're helping us uncover so many new approaches and workflows to using Rhino, and you make it really approachable. Every time I watch one of your video's I add about half a dozen new commands to my Rhino vocabulary. Really appreciate it. x Goodbye illustrator!
If you don't want to see the horizon line of the ground plane but you want to keep the ground shadows then just set the projection type from parallel to perspective and set the lens length to something like 5000.
Thank you sir, this is very valuable for me as a student, thank you for this valuable knowledge, I am very lucky and thank God because I was met with your content. I hope you are always healthy. keep sharing kindness with many people, I start to look forward every second of my life to always wait for new content from you sir. I have activated the bell. once again I am very grateful
Definitely mind blowing how much rhino can achieve! Best tutorials on TH-cam. Is it possible to share your awesome display template with us? Thank you Niko!
I'm really enjoying your videos by far. I wonder if it's possible to make a video about generating mutiple diagrams within Rhino? As shown in 1:10 - 1:32. Thanks a ton!
Dear Nikol. Thank you for responding so quickly. Something happened: while I was creating a simple new scene on a default Rhino template, the problem magically disappeared,. For some reason, this problem only appears in the specific file I was working on. The challenge is figuring out which option I changed that caused the problem. Anyway, thanks a lot for your help.
Hi Niko! I'm having issues combining display modes - together they dont look like they do separatly. Looks like one mode is always influencing another one and messses up the lines and other effects of the manually assigned DM. Do you have any suggestions how this possibly could get fixed? thanks!
crazy good channel you got here! all your vids come in handy :) btw did you work on EMST?? I'd be curious to see what you did there, i'm from Athens! Cheers
Hi Niko. Great tutorial man! I probably must have watched it 10 times. However, there is something I can't resolve regarding the thickness of the lines. I wanted to have this freedom to define the thickness of each object, also in layout views, but it seems that this only works in modeling views... any suggestions? Anyway, thank you very much for everything.
you can set the thickness per layer or per object. you then need to specify when you print to follow the object settings as opposed to the print settings. Let me know if that helps
Thanks for the tutorial! I've been trying it out and when I SetObjectDisplayMode for some objects in Layouts it works but when I close the file and open it again, it doesn't remember those settings, is there any way to fix that?
I feel like this doensn't work as well anymore in Rhino 8. For some reason SetObjectDisplay mode doesn't seem to be doing anything at all? Anyone else is having the same experience?
Sir, it's been 1 year, I'm always waiting for the next lesson, I hope it will be released in the next few hours sir, or as a student I can buy it via email and PayPal sir, I hope I can get it with my pocket money, hehe, thank u sir
Hey Niko, I love the videos! It's wild realizing how little I know about Rhino. Also, I was following along but when using 'SetObjectDisplayMode', it doesn't give me the option to select 'mode' in the command bar. It just says "Choose attributes for selected objects:" and nothing after (I see yours shows "(Mode = UseView)" after). Am I missing something? Or do you know why this might be happening and how I can solve it? Thanks so much.
@@NikoDellic PC. After much frustration turns out that I copied a display mode that wasn't available using SetObjectDisplayMode. Once I changed my base mode I didn't have any issues. So anything that doesn't appear as selectable (ie Monochrome) as a mode view then you shouldn't use it as a base to copy from.
I have a question, I personally use the layout and I'm wondering if there is an option to apply it in the layout, without assembling a dozen or so elements? And to have it in an editable form, thanks in advance for your answer
Was a single line even drawn in this video? Not really. Still, thank you for demonstrating better, more efficient, and more structured drawing techniques. While I don’t actually need this information, it’s disappointing to click on videos with certain titles only to find content that doesn’t match
Thank you. I’m here now, it expired eight years ago. So, what’s next? Thanks for considering my feedback. However, I feel that you resort to clickbait, and when someone points it out, the response comes across as defensive or even childish. Not a great display of professionalism or respect.
i feel like a caveman discovering fire
that is what I was going for
Haha! I’m still furiously rubbing sticks together to get a spark 😖
These things are life-changing. I don't understand how I've not ever found these in 2 years of using rhino. Thanks!

You have a good sense of graphics, Is there a chance you'd post your display modes file so I could just import it and use them?

Being as rhino export, once I saw your video I feel my knowledge of rhino is still very limited
My biggest regret in life was not starting my 3D career with Rhino. It is so painful.
I'm still waiting for more videos :(
can you render the different styles, too?
I wanna be like you when I grow up
What do you mean you can mix display modes? How long has this been possible? I am crying right now.
Can you export and share your display modes?
