I will not forgive fanfic writers who to this day continue to write him with the thickest accent possible. That's not who the character was, for cripes sake! Chris Potter's is hot too, obviously. You can see (hear?) why they picked Taylor Kitsch as the first Gambit because he has the look and the deep, smexy timber. Mentally I've been comparing it to rumbling thunder. I definitely respect all the VA for Gambit but I def feel like Chris Potter set the standard. Out of all these VA, he added the most creole twang. I saw someone post that Christ is Gambit as Kevin Conroy is to Batman and I full on agree!
Channing tatum
Channing Tatum was Tony Daniels mixed with The Waterboy
I love them all, his voice makes my knees weak.
Channing tatum quote from dead pool 3
"my names jeff"
Lol he never said that AT ALL!
@@Gadget-Walkmenit's a meme 🤡
@@thanos1706 Nice clown symbol, I’m glad you got it out as it suits you perfectly. And KNOW I know it’s a meme, but that doesn’t mean every joke is warranted.

Chris Potter #1
Rick Pasqualone #2
Tony Daniels had the accent but, just made Gambit too gruff sounding. I wasn't a fan of the gruff.
So none of these guys can do physical acting? I mean really why are we stuck with Channing?
***** Chris Potter back in the day would have NAILED a live action role as Gambit
Saw a photo of him from 2014. Dunno, he hasn't aged too much that little makeup can't fix, if needed.
i love gambit, can´t stand channing
Taylor Kitsch played Gambit in X-Men Origins: Wolverine movie. Honestly regardless of that mediocre film, he's hands down the best live action Gambit than Channing Tatum, no offense to him though. It'd be nice if he were to be the one to reprise as Gambit for the Gambit standalone film if they ever reconsider making it.
Came here just to say Channing was brilliant as Gambit 😂
How is this even a question. It's Chris Potter. I hear the voice cast of the 90's X-Men cartoon every time I read the comics. Rogue, Wolverine, Gambit, and Beast voices were and are still Iconic.
Chris Potter and Alessandro Juliani. The X-Men:Evo voice practically kills me, even if the show is now-hard to believe-18 years old!! It's just so deep and velvety sounding and I like that it doesn't have the thick Cajun drawl even if others don't like it/don't get it. (I've been anticipating him in Waco.) Mmm! Last thing, the dude at the end wasn't hot, but he got the accent spot on. Okay, enough rambling. Thanks for reading.
Mini Taylors accent was southern...not Cajun though.
YOUJUSTLETEVERYBODYKNOWWHATHAPPENEDHERETODAY!
Yeah I think it's hard to top Chris Potter
Chris potter was my first and his sounds the best to me ;)
I definitely like Chris Potter the best. He captured Gambit's Cajun accent.
Alessandro Juliano is one of my all time favourite voice actor for Gambit. ❤️💯
But 0:48 Alessandro Juliani and 1:22 Phil Lamarr Are The Bad Guy And Are The Addict Voice Actor Villains of Gambit But Won't a Villains as Gambit Voice Actor Was a Hero The X-Men
The most underrated character, so sad 😞
This needs to be updated now after the new Gambit by Channing Tatum
Also, Gambit got recasted in X-men 97.
Phil Lamar played gambit? I never knew that. He sounds like when he was mocking magic Johnson when he was on Madtv😂
If they ever finally get a live-action Gambit onscreen, they should get Potter to play his dad Jean-Luc Lebeau.
You know how long I’ve been waiting for this? Woo I’m aboutta make a name for myself here.
Channing Tatum's sounds similar to Pasqualone, just faster and with A LOT more French.
Chris Potter for sure. However, A. J. LoCascio does a fantastic impression of Potter's Gambit specifically on X-Men '97. Which is funny, as later in the season Chris Potter will return to the show but as Cable this time.
he should still do gambits voice he is the reason why I like gambit
He might not be able to anymore. Voices change with age.
Tony Daniels: Cajun Slash!!!!! Kinetic Card!!!! Cajun Strike!!!!!
You can't beat the original. But I still stand by my boy, Phil LaMarr
Am I the only one who thinks Matthew Mercer would make a good Gambit?
Tatum Gambit is peak Gambit idgaf
Agreed!
Nope it’s the worst one yet
@@RootedLegacyLiterally how?
@@chrisrockett5897 people for one are over hyping it and it sounds nothing like a real Cajun just a imitation of one have you seen how gambit sound on the old cartoons or even marvel vs Capcom way better
@@RootedLegacy People who lived in the area said it sounded authentic + Tatum himself grew up in a Cajun area.
Chris Potter is still my favorite, but I also like Phil LaMarr, and Alessandro Juliani, Rick Pasqualone.

Rick is the more authentic voice but potter is the more nostalgic voice
had to watch this to see how Tatum did
Tatum went a little hard on the accent but it was still awesome to see and hear that he finally gets to play Gambit
@@zainkaiser I wouldn't say that he "went a little hard on the accent" AT ALL as he nailed it so perfectly well done in live action!
His accent was VERY authentic and very Cajun-like for the character. The movie was a comedy but his portrayal of the character Gambit WAS NOT and it overall was meant to be an authentic accent and portrayal of the character in a overall serious way.
He was SO perfect for Gambit in live action and I REALLY hope we get to see more of Tatum as Gambit as he was just pitch perfect in the role.
@@Gadget-Walkmenhis accent sucked
@@Gaz_1No I’m not. I’m under some comments giving PRAISE to Tatum’s Gambit. That’s not “cOmPLaInInG” at all in the slightest as I’m giving MASSIVE credit where credit is due here.
@@jwobaldingbottomjack6360His accent did NOT “suCKed” at all as Channing Tatum’s accent was PITCH PERFECT for Gambit because Tatum is of Cajun descent and he KNOWS how to have an authentic Cajun accent which he portrayed PERFECTLY in the film which you badly failed to understand here in every way. Nice going but nothing about his accent “suCKeD” AT ALL as his accent was an authentic Cajun accent as it can get! Just stop with your nonsense here seriously as Channing Tatum sounds, looks, and acts PERFECTLY as Gambit in live action in the BEST way possible for him to be critically acclaimed! That simple!
1. Aj from Xmen 97
2. Chris Potter(prefer his Cable)
3. Phil Lamar
4. Channign Tatum.
Who came here after watching Deadpool and wolverine?
Gotta go with Potter but Daniels is a close second. Loved Phil's take on it too.

Chris Potter, no contest. But I have to wonder why no one's thought of getting Jim Cummings to voice this guy yet, Jim's from Louisiana and he's demonstrated he can do a Cajun accent no sweat. He'd be perfect for the role.
JCBro2014 ikr
Problem is he can do anything. Dude's in high demand.
He voiced the fly in princess and the frog. In his Cajun accent
Marvel vs Capcom Gambit voice is the best. Come on Mon Amie.
They're all doing Chris Potter impressions, so I think there's your answer.
Chris potter hands down the best voice 😍😍
Channing Tatum is makin a name for himself yeah
I think we all know why we’re here 😂
Chris Potter is the best voice.
Chris Potter and Rick Pasqualone are the best. Sorry Rick is better than Tony... woof
Chris Potter was my introduction to Gambit and continues to be my personal favorite, although Rick Pasqualone's sweet tones are a close second.
"5 card stud, jacks or better to open" chris potter is easily the best gambit
