The one thing I'm confident they won't do with these prices is sign a top tier starting pitcher. They may trade for one but OF and RP are probably the only positions they add via FA.
I don't think Kim is the only SS upgrade over Arcia. Jose Iglesias would probably be a solid upgrade, and Kike Hernandez might be as well. There's also that Korean kid that just posted on the intl market.
Notable that we discussed this as CLEAR upgrades. FWIW, Hernandez isn't really a shortstop at this point. Iglesias had a good year witht he Mets but it was in a pretty small sample. He could be an upgrade but perhaps a minor one similar to what we said about Dejong.
Mike Tauchman would be pretty high on my list. He's been far better at left field, than right or center, he's been an above average hitter against both left hand right hander for his career, and his hitting metrics the last 2 years have played better than his actual good hitting. Max Kepler is a more platoon-ish hitter as his 78 wRC+ against left handers for his career isn't that good.
Listening to you guys in a train in Switzerland. Thanks for the updates!
Thanks!
Terry McGurik is back in power guys. We are back to the Time Warner days.

I wouldn’t be upset with a Heyward reunion and I’d also be on board with Profar. Not really sold on Kepler.

Tauchman just signed with the White Sox.
