Boat Buyers Guide: 2020 Chaparral 23 SSi Stern Drive

Chaparral has expanded their SSi line to bring moderately-priced boats to new boaters. This is the stern drive version of the 23 SSi. A lot of boaters prefer a sterndrive because it gives you a clean transom platform, which makes it a lot of fun when swimming at anchor or when you have the boat pushed up on the beach. This boat is perfect for that as well as more on-the-water fun for you and your whole family.

@boating magazine was that test done with the dual prop? you said the time to 30 MPH was 5.7 seconds.. just wondering if that was with the dual or without, thanks

What outdrive is it equipped with? Dual or single prop?

You can choose from either SX ( single prop) or DuoProp at a number of power ratings.

@@michaelpiller1513 Probably low fifties. Without a propset size, an X-dimension or a gear ratio, this is truly a broad guestimate.
