You have only scratched the surface. Soda Stereo and Cerati are a path of no return. You must react to any song of the 2007 Gira Me Verás Volver (Tour You will see me back) and all are great! Songs as: Prófugos, No Existes, La Ciudad de la Furia, Corazón Delator, Juegos de Seducción, Signos, Sueles dejarme Solo, Fue, Un millón de Años Luz, En el Séptimo Día, En Remolinos, etc... I assure you that you will not regret it.

They knew it was the last song of the last concert, they´ve already anounced the separation of the band, thats why you can see Gustavo cry at the end. This band was soo big, that even Cirque du Soleil made a show called El Septimo Dia, dedicated to Soda Stereo in honor of the song with the same name.

This was the last song of the finale of the “Last Concert Tour” in 1997. Soda Stereo had announced their breakup. In other words, it was goodbye to Soda and we were all singing and jumping We will return! We will return! We will return again! We will see Soda again like the first time!
And at the end of the show he greets and thanks the crowd and also everyone who helped Soda over the years and says his immortal phrase “Thank you…. Totally”

Soda was the biggest latin rock band ever and Musica Ligera was one of their anthems. This performance was closing their last show together before the band's separation, that's why Gustavo was emotional at the end. They reunited in 2007 after ten years, and performed one of the best live shows ever for the Tour "Gira Me verás Volver". I saw them live on both shows with 10 years of difference reaching one of my personal dreams in music.

Yes, this is their most commercial song and the one that made them known internationally when it came out back in 1990. Total banger that for me carries buckets and buckets of nostalgia and puts a smile in my face haha. Looking forward to next one!

Decir eso es conocer solo el 1% de la discografia de Soda Stereo.
No tienen un álbum igual que el otro(respecto al género musical).
Hicieron desde ska, rock clásico, rock alternativo, shoegaze, rock instrumental, rock pop, pop, rock indie, hardrock, rock experimental y seguramente me estaré olvidando de algunos más.
En cambio las bandas que nombraste siempre hicieron los mismos géneros.
Diciendo esto, Soda Stereo está al nivel de The Beatles, Queen y no mucho más, ya que esas dos legendarias bandas son las que más géneros musicales hicieron con respecto a las demás legendarias.
@@skywalker2230 De acuerdo en eso. Lo que dije es que: en calidad Soda se equipara con cualquiera de las mejores bandas de esos años, de los 90" tambien. La variedad de su musica, la composición, el nivel de los shows, la ejecución etc. es prueba de lo que digo. La única diferencia es que una parte del mundo no los conoció en su apogeo.

You'll really like "No bombardeen Buenos Aires" by Charly Garcia (the one on the album). It's from the time of the war between Argentina and England, Charly cries "Don't bomb Buenos Aires". That man wasn't killed and nobody knows why, he gave everything he has from music, only a few composers of the 20th century reached his talent. I really love him. If you want to hear one of his heartbreaking songs you have "seminare" by seru giran, or "cinema verité", or "viernes 3 am" (a very raw one), o,o,o,o. Believe me, it's a pandora's box that you would love to open. Greetings!
Listening to Soda Stereo is a journey they have a theme for each album and evolve over the course of their discography and they will always surprise you. It's like being introduced to the Beatles you have to start at the beginning starting with their album "Soda Stereo"

Funny! Living in Argentina I've only experienced concerts like that (massive and intense). You probably going to enjoy "Genesis" a cover that Soda did for his MTV unplugged, "prófugos" and "signos" from their last live performance tour in 2007 "Gira me verás volver". But there are a lot of others great songs from them. Cheers from Buenos Aires!

Este tema por un lado habla como de un amor pasajero, pero a la vez trata de la musica basura o comercial. En este tema lo hicieron con los 4 acordes mas conicidos de la musica comercial, de forma intencional, para demostrar lo fácil que es hacer un tema exitoso, que sea comercial. Y vaya que lo lograron, este tema se convirtió en un himno del rock en castellano

Soda has a lot of commercial songs, but on each album they released from '84 until the last one they did nothing but evolve in sound and production. They came to a complete conclusion on their album .

Been so long since last time I dropped by. But what a fantastic moment to do so! I absolutely love this song, I first heard in in 1999 and was really mesmerizing. Especially because of the instrumental part during the midpoint. Pure magic, man. ^_^

You are right....this was the most comercial song and the name of it says so : música ligera , could be translated literaly as light music, but It also means: not complicated, easy to folow, of that LOVE of light music ,nothing IS left. It IS a catchy song. But they made incredible music... The main voice of the group Gustavo Cerati was called the architecture of sound. If you listen to Signos, La ciudad de la furia, Corazón delator, you Will get the real esscence of their music. They where as good as Pink Floyd (in spanish ). Always listen them live, BEST concert Gira me verás volver ( you Will see me return).
He was the ultimate guitar hero. He is on par with Prince and David Gilmour.

if you're interested in Latin American rock i would recommend Cascada of Tempanos' Atabal/Yemal. it's Venezuelan prog rock from the late 70s that became a cult classic in Europe over the years
