Jason, what a fantastic collection of images for 2022. And what a massive number of hours of data collected!. Loved the star trails over the observatory as well. Sounds like 2023 is going to be a busy year learning NINA and PI but I think you’ll have those sorted out pretty quickly. Wishing you lots and lots of clear skies for 2023.
Hey Jason, great video mate! What a year, awesome images, I really liked your Crescent Nebula 👍 Can’t wait to see the Scorpion brothers together again at Alpha Scorpii! Thanks for the shout out mate, it’s been a pleasure taking to you over the last year! I hope you have a great 2023 ahead with loads of clear skies my friend 👍👍
Hi Jason, Great review of 2022. Oh, I know your pain when it comes to making those TH-cam videos. The astronomy aspect is just half of it. The shooting of the video and voiceovers and the editing are the other half, or even more. I love that polar animation with the observatory in the foreground. Nice touch.
Thanks Pat... My wife got me a new toy to replace my over heated GP8.... she got me a GP11 and it has the Star trail button.. almost feels like cheating.
Hey Jason - What an awesome year mate. You got some great shots and I still think that Blue Horsehead is my favorite, I love it. I think we've both gone Mono in the same year!! Pixinsight and NINA gonna be a fun 2023 pal. Clear skies
You've got some cracking images there Jason & I'm glad you're gonna be giving NINA a try to, I haven't moved to Pixinsight yet simply due to my pc's being to old to run it lol. Here's to 2023 & clear skies all the best mate.
I just got around to watching this... a little late... Your images are fantastic! I'll admit a bit of jealousy of your clear skies. Our Bortle 8 skies in NJ make it tough but I still manage. On a clear night we can walk around in the darkest hours due to our wonderful light polluted skies :) Your time stamps are total integration or total of data collected? Again, in our conditions, I will typically toss half of my data due to poor image quality. Keep up the great work!!
Awesome photos! Also you will love nina I tried it and haven't gone back. Pixinsight is a steep learning curve but if you've got photoshop down you will be fine.
Hi Jason just found your channel (recommended by Luke at lukomatico ) excellent end of year round up , looking forward to seeing more of your videos next year
