Hi Jason, Interesting night in the desert. Great landscape final images and polar animation video. That was an awesome Falcon 9 video. I guess that was the first stage coming back to land. I'd be too scared to try being out in "Nowhere" by myself. I suppose the Glock supplied some assurance. .
thanks Pat. I'd much rather be out with a second person at least. The Falcon 9 launch was cool to see and yes the Glock made me feel a little safer. CS
Excellent photos, especially for a first time out doing landscape. Glad to see you survived the night. And an awesome capture of the Falcon Rocket launch...... ah I mean,,,, curse you Starlink for ruining our images!!🤣.
Hi Jason! I hope all is well with you & your family! Glad that you had a chance to re-connect with the cosmos & calm your soul ! 😀 IMHO, your timelapses & images turned out great! 👍👍 Regarding at 5:40 🤔Aha! Now I know why you brought a handgun! You were hoping to shoot those f*cking Starlink satellites out of the sky! I hope you had success!😉😂
nice images! I love our desert. I was out cat fishing on the canals behind fortuna pond in october the first time ever seeing the falcon 9 launch. also caught it at seperation and it had a epic blue reignition. its definately something to see indeed. That spot i was has a very nice view as well.
Cat fishing? sounds like fun! I'm partial to Bass or striper over by Laguna Damn. The first time I saw the StarLink Satellites trailing each other in low orbit was another thing to see.
Nice Photos Jason, Landscape Astrophotography is Addicting....Im going thru a Phase right now with it....I've learned how to Focus Stack and Composite which makes for an awesome photo...It is nice to just get out and relax under the stars....Clear Skies my Fellow Scorpion Bro...
Nice going Jason. Images look good. Landscape astrophotography is really cool to see. It's not all that easy however I believe. The dark location make it possible. Cs
Cracking shots there mate much better than what I've managed to take of the Milky way, very cool to see the launch to just a pity its more junk us astro-photographers have to deal with when stacking lol. Clear skies
I'm hoping to break into astrophotography with landscape/milkway stuff. My plan is to get a t6i with a rokinon 14mm to take night scapes while i go out observing. My thinking is from there ill upgrade to a star tracker and a 135mm lens to start taking shots of some DSOs.
Great shots, man! I like to use Stellarium to see what time the Milky Way will be high enough to shoot (there's an app for both Apple and Android). BTW, it's not the spiders and scorpions I have issues with, it's always the damn ants!
Great video, Jason! MW Landscape pix are something I've set my sights on this year after previously only shooting the usual suspects (Orion, Andromeda...etc). I guess I think they just tell a better overall story than a deep sky object shot (for me, anyway). Alpha Scorpii looks like a great site! I usually go to Alamo Lake, but even there a lot of artificial light surrounds you (street lamps, trailer lights, constant car movements). Can anyone use the site? Best wishes...David.
Hey Jason, great video mate! And good on you for getting out there on your own, spiders and all mate!! You just have to do it sometimes 👍 Excellent first attempt at the Milkyway Jason, it’s not an easy thing to do, I still haven’t got a really nice MW shot, but it’s something I definitely want to do! How awesome to see the starlink launch, nicely captured👍 Glad you didn’t have to use your gun on any hippies or Sasquatch’s🤣 If you want to see a good landscape night photographer, check out Paul Haworth, ‘Nightscape Journals’ he’s a guy me and Glenn have been out with before! Check out his last video th-cam.com/video/iDHGtkNHfFA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Y0woYKEn43zV9uT- Cheers mate and clear skies!
Great video Jason, lovely images, the star trail looked very cool, keep up the great work.
Thanks Bill!
Thank you. 👍🏻
Thanks for supporting Ron!😎
Very cool. Nice job! One of these days I have to get out there and enjoy that spot. Nice vid!

Thanks Logan! gonna get to a point where we will be imaging satellites and not stars.

Sounds like a solid plan. The star tracker will definitely help and the Roki will be a great lens, hope to get mine soon. CS

I used stellarium too, just miscalculated a bit... the Ants for sure and the flying ones that are attracted to the headlamp!

thanks David! Alpha Scorpii is my private land all 10 Acres but anyone can go and setup and use it. CS
@@AZ4Runner That's very good of you! For that remoteness, it'd be worth the 2 hour drive (I'm in Glendale, AZ)

I'll take a peak. Lots of video to surf you tube on for sure. All I have over here is Cactus and bushes, no castle for me!! CS
Looked a fun time Jason. I haven't done any of these in ages now. Falcon launch was cool too.
seeing the Falcon 9 launch was pretty cool.. I'm gonna try and get better for next time for sure.
