I agree I think Katee smiling the whole time disrupted the flow of the performance. It was danced beautifully however by both Katee and Joshua. I really enjoyed this dance. Season 4 (in my opinion) had the best performers for that year.
I always smile cause I dont want to be caught with a mug face lmao.I used to work around old people so I dont want them to think im upset. I probably look creepy but people always compliment me on being happy and always smiling and saying I have a nice smile
Wow he looks like a football player trying to do the dance all clunky , is that close to what she said to him. I’m for corrective criticism but where was the corrective part. I only heard negativity towards him . Ok if he didn’t perform it technically well then you as a “judge “ say something positive to let him know what to do next time he has to do that style of dancing where he has no training in like she does. I feel it’s a way to correctively critique something someone’s doing ,if that’s your job , and being mean and rude. I really didn’t like how they all pointed out his technical mistakes but didn’t give any support or guidance on how to do it “right “ how they would define it. That last judge just was very rude. I wonder how any of them would look like doing hip hop a routine. If you’re going to judge something or someone you have a responsibility to not sugarcoat anything but say it in a respectful manner. That’s how I feel. Always remember how you would want to be treated in that same scenario. Love you Josh and Katee ❤️
the difficulty of this show the diversity of style dance,it is extremely difficult to master quick steps or Viennese waltz in short period of time not like other kind of dance ,you cannot compare professional dancers with beginner dancer ,however the judges often give wonderful advise and important recommendations for dancers in this is competition to get improved but they sometimes criticizing dancers in harsh way .but if you watch the full episode in top 12 you will notice that they were judged the dancers harsh in the most routines of this episode they want dancers be very professional and reach high level ,they must be realistic the dancers are talented but not very well trained may be that is the reason of why they make limit age to participate in this show ,fortunately Joshua win in that season american voted to him because he was really best dancer in season 4 don't pay attention for what judges say sometime oppress the performance of dancers and often they judge correctly i hope you get me
did you jut notice how these three white judges destroyed the black man ???????/ while compliment the white girl... well, which one of them can dance better than him,, if they think ok come on , stage i yours, move your asses .. always those are out of ring can judge easily those who are inside
Hardly white. She identifies as Asian Pacific American. And everything doesn’t have to be about race! They gave him both positive and constructive feedback.
this was actually the first time that Katee had more positive comments than Joshua; all throughout the show it was always how great Joshua - hence he won

I think the judges missed that the untrained audience jive more with intention and sentiment. Josh served that up EVERY time.

In other numbers they actually compliment Joshua more than Katie. He ended up winning the all thing after all. This was just not his best.
