Melanie's "Cracks" is my favorite solo of all time on SYTYCD. I already knew she was a star but that solo told me she would win in a landslide. And I have such mad respect for Brandon choosing a song with such power to perform a solo. He really knew his strengths and he knew he could carry a piece of music that heavy and powerful.
Man I used to love this show. Thanks so much for posting these!! Not going to quabble with your list at all. We all have our personal favorites. Just thank you for the effort and giving me amazing memories of one of my favorite shows of all time. I have never had more goosebumps or emotions than when I watched these amazing artists give their soul to something they love and do what they were meant to do. Pure Inspiration! Can't wait to share these with my daaughter!
This is really wonderful and making me emotional! I used to LOVE this show back in the day. I forgot all about Gev, but that solo was incredible. Melanie's "Cracks" has always stuck with me as a favorite, and everything Danny, Lex, and Ade ever did. RIP Danny and Twitch :(

I feel like Bailey's solo should have been top 10. Philip's solo deserved to be on here, but I would place him much lower. LOVE THIS! THANKS FOR SHARING IT! I don't think I could ever choose a top 20. I'd be rearranging it every 2 minutes!

I'm so glad to whatched Jeanine Mason amd everyone one who shof of from 5th season in this video, i loved that season, my favorite!!! And wow, I got surprise by the perfomance from Bailey Muñoz.
Very nice list - if I were to create such a list, there are only a few of your choices that I would have left off. Mostly, my quibbling would be to move a few people up or down a few places. The only real surprises that I had were four dancers from seasons seven & eight (I consider these two seasons the best ever) that I was really surprised to not see on your list. Kent Boyd, a personal favorite of mine, I can see that some might not give him the weight that I would, and ditto for Sasha Mallory, but the biggest surprises to me were the lack of Melanie Moore and Alex Wong. Alex might be a little shaky since he was injured after only a few weeks, but his performances in Hallelujah (with Allison) and Get Outta Your Mind (with Twitch) are to me two of the best dances on SYTY ever. I certainly respect your choices, though, and love your channel over all. It now appears that my favorite TV show ever will not be returning, and I for one will miss it terribly, making your channel even more important to me.
That pleases me, especially that tWItch's replacement will be his widow, Allison Holker. Still, I haven't seen any evidence that Fox isn't placing the similar restrictions that they placed in Season 17 - minimal episodes in particular. Still, given that the primary reason for the return is likely the program shortage caused by the writers' and actors' strikes, perhaps it might work after all.

Melanie has appeared on Broadway as Chava in Fiddler on the Roof and Scout in To Kill a Mocking Bird. Also A Chorus Line and I think a couple of others. Well-deserved stellar career.
I thought it was her Paso with Brandon that won it. Personally, I was hoping for Kayla but when I saw Jeanine's Paso Doble (choreographed by Jason Gilkinson) I knew she was #1.
Nick Lazzarini's Pardon Me is #1. I love Blake McGrath's Body Language but I think Nick is better and much more likable. Australia's Michael Demenski though is BY FAR the most impressive SYTYCD winner of all time.
Billy Bell is a great dancer I have always loved watching him. I think 3 places were excessive. JaJa was left out, Lauren,Amy and how can the list be complete without SYTYCD royalty Travis??
You can just tell fik-shun was a street performer- like his solos are made to entertain an audience and are so brilliantly choreographed

My favorite dancer is Jeanine Mason who won season 5
She danced this solo with a rose in her mouth and perfect control of her pirouettes.
Holding that control after fouettés into attitude is so crazy hard to do.
That solo single handedly made her win. It was the highlight of the top 4 show.
