You're right. That line works well for a different hair texture. I have type 2b/3 hair and they have work well for me. i am a product junky so I won't be entering your contest unfortunately simply because I am trying to finish up what I have left from the TIGI curl line. You know us product junkies ...I need to try something new! Thanks, African Export!
I agree, Tigi products are geared more towards CAUCASIAN curly hair or 2b, 2c hair. There is and abundance of product lines carrying the title "organic" or "natural" lately ...its all marketing. Buyers beware! Thanks for the review!
TIGI, pronouncing the "G" as U would 'Fig', is a UK based company that has been around for many many years and is very popular with non-black people over here. I tried to be as PC as poss when I typed that lol. TIGI products are used in most non-black hair salons here in the UK. The reason why you don't see us in that book girl, is because they are not trying to target us. Their curly ranges R def targeted at non kinky hair. Although I have tried the curl amplifier and loved the definition I got
It might work for my hair. I have a looser curl pattern, my twist outs look a lot like your wig, which is boss btw. I wish you lived near me so we could go wig shopping. I see u looking fly in these wigs and I am envious. U must have wig magic.
I love TIGI and bedhead products...I do think it's made for a looser texture... I do agree that not just TIGI, but many major hair brands need to feature models of color with varied hair textures. As far as price is concern, I would suggest buying from ulta when it's on sale and use the coupons they offer...you'll usually pay 1/2 (or more) off the retail price.
I have really damaged dry hair with a mix of some curls in tack and dead ends..... and honestly the catwalk highness added moisture to my hair and gave it shine.... but my main question is... what does tigi??? stand for?
I have had success in the past with the TIGI CatWalk Oatmeal and Honey line Treatment Shampoo and Conditioner (from the label design mine was a light bluish teal with white as opposed to the gradient black into the teal color.) I discontinued use because of it was a little pricey for me at the time. As far as marketing, also tend to feel better about using a product if it is visually marketed to me....then again, as you know, sometimes you'll be surprised at what will work for you.
@AFRICANEXPORT Probably they realize now what a big market it is. And getting a good review from people like you sure wouldn't hurt. I am open to whatever works though. I love Paul Mitchell's conditioner.
Thanks, I would not have tried it due to the brochure not having anyone that looks like "us" in it. I am sure the store displays are about the same. (This coming from someone who uses Jessicurl daily)
What product do you recommend? I have semi-curly/wavy but FRIZZY hair! It drives me crazy... I'm a white girl, but I think I need something for ethnic hair because I have not found anything that makes my hair nice and not frizzy. :( What is the secret? Help! Your hair looks gorgeous. :)
Hey! THese products are wayyyyyy out of my price range. I did however like the curl amplifier, I have yet to try it now that its in its new packaging though.
@mrswimberly08 it is an option that everyone has to participate, if you not able then you just have to wait for a giveaway that is offered on youtube. I do like to make things convenient for me when I can. Its not to penalize those who don't have Facebook, but an incentive to get it . The same will go for my blog. ,There will be giveaways there are well. TH-cam is just a great way to notify everybody who wants to participate and enter to win. Take care
@pajewa It makes it easier to facilitate a giveaway . plus i can get alerts and response efficiently with Facebook or twitter,. I have a blackberry and it sucks for youtube
I have naturaly hair and I do actually have the curl serum. It worked...when my fro was maybe about an inch. but not i'm way over that so its pretty much useless to me now.
@pajewa i totally agree i dont get to participate in any giveaways because i dont have a facebook I think it is unfair to faithful subbies and like you said facebook and youtube are seperate why should we have to have both
I don't know why everyone that is on youtube, has to have a facebook page. I don't want to be apart of facebook, but i love your channel, and I feel that I am missing alot. I wish youtube and facebook were seperate websites, they seem like they are partners. I hate it!!!
SSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAADDDDDDDDDEEEEEE!!!!!! Ha! I think I got a sample from that line with some other stuff in the mail and thought, "is this for my hair?!?!?!" What were they thinking sending that over for a review? They must have gotten your address mixed up with Halle Berry or Mariah's house....
Yeah, none of those girls in the brochure even have naturally curly hair at all. I hate it when curly products are marketed with pictures of girls with hot roller curls on straight hair. Not even close.
The amplifier is awesome for curly wigs and weaves.
@WomanInTheJungle Wonder why they would send it to me then of all the other loose curly vloggers.?! Thanks for watching
