The unparalleled best rock/pop tenor on this planet ever. Flawless and raw at the same time. When he belts out those extremely high and "raspy" notes, it is still so effortlessly spot on pitch that it is almost unbelivable. And such a jovial, humble, funny, nice, charming and charismatic guy at the same time. The Americans may never have really discovered this jewel, but the rest of the world has certainly always loved and admired him.
He was told by a singing teacher that he went to that he could be an opera singer. I think they were right about that. Loved the version of Granada with him and Anthony Warlow.
My daughter won a singing contest with this song. I didn’t know it was his until she was on stage and said so. He is loved and will always be our legend.
He has one of the most beautiful voices in world. He can sing anything and make it sound heavenly. And he still delivers amazing vocals to this day at the age of 71.
I was 15 years old when this played live on TV, and I can still remember it... I went out and bought the piano sheet music to this song and learnt how to play it!
Saw Paul G play with Paul Kelly last July; just the two of them, one voice one accompanying instrument ( only a couple with guitar). The “ two Pauls”. If they ever team up again to do a tour go see them; intimate songs, beautiful piano accompaniment , warm informal connection & chat with the audience. An extraordinary evening of entertainment. I would equally have gone see Paul G & John F play as a duo if ever that had happened.
Of course John is genius like always and Paul Grabowsky's accompaniment was just brilliant considering it was unrehearsed (?). Get you a jazz pianist if you're gonna wing it!

Well said, and funny as hell too🤣
And he was tired too‼️ amazing singer 💞
I'm turning 51, and his song always brings tears to my eyes. This song, "Please Don't Ask Me," has a strong sense of nostalgia.
One of the best Love Song ever.
Makes me tear up every time I hear it.
How cool is this guy!!! No-one does a mullet like John - so handsome and a really down to earth beautiful human x
Amazing singing those high notes without a warm up.
Great singer

Only few artists can sing live as good as Mr. Farnham. A true legend. The pianist also gave an equally outstanding performance. Bravo!!
One of Australia's most famous Jazz Musicians - Paul Govoscy [however it is spelt]
Paul Grabowsky is the pianist. A famous Australian jazz pianist.
The 20% line was great and went straight over the audience’s heads...
do you really think it was over their heads?
He has it all..Beautiful voice, beautiful face and a lovely personality..Get well John 🌹🌺

John Farnham has the most naturally brilliant voice ever. Any time, any day he can open his mouth and that voice comes out.
Just incredible. How lucky are we to call him ours. Get well John ❤
That's the greatest mullet ever!
Onya Jack, oi👍
I have always loved his voice, who would of guessed the hair makes a come back? 2021?
Stellar vocals, and I'd forgotten what a great pianist Paul was. terrific stuff.

Written by the very talented Graeham Goble of LRB.

Only if John Farnham and Karen Carpenter could have done a duet together.

My Heart melted..💗
So grandios voice!!!!!
Powerful vocals 👌🏼
Just John and piano. Heaven. Oct'24. UK. E❤
Great interview so laid back. Bring back the 80s style loved it.
I watched the version with Geoff Harvey but this knocked that one out of the park.
The one and only of course. His humor and that voice....There is no other. ❤
Best eye lids ever! beautiful from top to toe xx
Amazing music from just 2😉
He is so gorgeous. If only. I met him once upon a time. Long long time.
Ohhh Sooooo Good... Thankyou 😊
Another Graeham Goble masterpiece.
One of my favourite songs from Full House. Unrequited love sung at its best.
Legend
The incredible range is gold! I love the bit of rock raspy and smooth blend of his voice.. but I would not recommend smoking to get that tone!
Great stuff!
What an amazing gentleman .
30yrs ago..wow
Just insane!!!
The captions are hilarious;
‘That we could ever be balling Fred’
Lol
Pure talent.
Wow! And with sore ribs!
Brilliant
When John still could've hit the top note. Perfect.
To be fair, it’s a D above a Tenor high C - absolute bastard of note to sing! (D5)
Hahaha 🤣 John Wheatley….his manager….wakes up 20% later than him…..hahahaha hahahaha I’m on the floor…..he’s a bloody legend….hahahaha
His manager's name is Glenn Wheatley (RIP)
Ok seems to me this truely was a musical accomplishment. The piano merely following the singer
And all that with out a warm up
💜💜💜💜💜
Of course John is genius like always and Paul Grabowsky's accompaniment was just brilliant considering it was unrehearsed (?). Get you a jazz pianist if you're gonna wing it!
Brilliant. You can’t outplay The Farnham, Paul
😍😍❤️❤️
Comparable..is there any one...
No...not by a mile
Jimmy Barnes no comparison
It's a shame Farnham doesn't still have this hairstyle.
❤
