I love mine too. ♥️ I have the round butt SC-e for carrying, and personally, they are easily the most underrated 1911's on the market for the money, not to mention the nicest looking.
There is just something about the looks. Those fish scales on the side look so badass. The gun is allot more actuate than I am lol thank you so much for the comment.
I know NOTHING about a good or bad 1911 aside from whether it runs. I bought a 1911pd scandium with aftermarket night sights for $850. I wanted to own one semi-auto, mostly a Smith, and I practically stole that one. Looks great. Feels great. Shoots great.
1911 issues are: cycling. ejecting and feeding. depends on magazine as well. magazines with plastic follower that keep bullet better aligned - tip up close to barrel - when slide takes it to chamber work better
This is the variant I want. Looking around they seem to be kind of overshadowed by all the fancy performance center and pro series models with scandium frames and ported slides and all those things I don't want, I just want the all steel most inexpensive E series, I think they're going for around 1100, i'll keep looking
Yea that’s exactly why I bought the normal e series. I don’t need fancy porting or the cool looking rounded butt on some of the models. I honestly don’t carry 1911s but I love to shoot them. The normal e series shoots like a dream. I have shot many 1911s and this holds its own. Thank you for the support and comment.
It is definitely improved design, external, spring operated extractor, but the bad thing from my point of view is recoil spring rod, that stays out close to barrel when moving slide back
Okay the external extractor seems to be a better engineered design than the internal… Do you know the recoil spring and Main spring weights? Are there any MIM parts?
I'm hoping to get one this weekend (tax-free weekend). Did you notice the laser etching on the slide wearing off since you've had it? I've watched several videos on this model, only one mentioned it. Just curious.
I have very low round count and have never holstered it before but so far looks like the day it was purchased. The recoil spring was very stiff before I put a few hundred rounds through it but still shot without a failure.
I only have one 1911 as well. I'd suggest to keep it that way. Their function doesn't justify their expense. The only reason I got mine is because I'm American and it's wrong for me not to have at least one 1911 in my arsenal.
I just bought the engraved model, paid $1480 with tax and it came with a wooden case and a plastic carry case. The wooden case has Smith and Wesson engraved on the top and is beautiful. Suggested retail is $1329.00
@@Baystateoutdoors762 hell yeah I have don that with several of my Springfield Armory 1911s. Now u do pay for it but it's not expensive when you send it back to the manufacturer for upgrades.Plus the might though in something for FREE. Like my SA champion LOADED I bought back in 97 I sent it back for the upgrade like on the TRP like megwell front checkering and night sights and they throw in a brand new barrel for FREE .
Beautiful piece and amazing shooter! They are slowly going up in price! A must have in any enthusiast collection! I highly recommend this gun!
I couldn’t agree more bud, thank you for the support!

Thank you she is def a beauty!
Thanks for the review. I just bought my wife the engraved version for her birthday gift.
Thank you so much for the comment. She is lucky the gun must be a real beauty.
Yup, I think it is as good looking as you do. So much so, I picked mine up yesterday. It is my BBQ fire arm!
Hell yea man, fantastic choice.
A beautiful pistol indeed!
Nice-looking pistol
Thank you for the comment. The 1911 is prob one of my favorite looking guns. Smith and Wesson sure did a good job with this one.
I got the E series TA and love it ! Also in Mass
Hell yea man. Gotta collect all the good stuff before we turn to California.

I’m actually not sure I’ll have to look it up.
Hello sir , some reviewers says that slide is bit hard n trigger is bit hard ..
Plz clearify with your opinion ,, coz i like this gun , but confused
The slide is def stiff when the gun is not broken in but it loosens up nicely after some rounds. The trigger is absolutely amazing!
Beautiful gun I have one just like it. I’m like you I paid around $700 for mine and they are going for over $1000.
Yea for the price you really can’t go wrong. There are way to many guns on my bucket list but with a blue collar paycheck and a family it’s tough lol
I wanted to get the engraved version of this for my bday, however I came home with a S&W 500 LoL.
Maybe for Xmas 🤷♂️?
Hell yea I want a 500 so bad

I had an e-series and loved it. I should have never sold it.
Oh snap buddy don’t tell me your a gun guy.
SA,S&W and Fusion 1911s are the best and don't forget about Ruger 1911s are the best
Yes it is a good lookning 1911
I don’t think there is a bad looking 1911

I’m right with you bud. After two world wars you need to own it lol
I haven’t seen a plastic S&W case in years! I thought they did cardboard for everything now
They seem to still have pride in there better quality guns! Thanks for the comment

Now send it back to S&W and get the performance upgrades like Magwell night sights and barrel and ambidextrous safety
I didn’t even know that was a option.

@@TheRealZJE313 that’s not a bad deal at all. I had full plans on customizing it but never touched it yet. It’s my only 1911 so far.
@@Baystateoutdoors762 I only do that so you can keep there LIFE TIME WARRANTY and S&W has it too.
you need a leather holster for it
That I do! Do you have any recommendations?
Internal is not that hard to fix.
If you drink a caustic acid and wait a while, the internal is very hard to fix.
@@bobjohnson1633 sorry just going by what I was told I have only worked on external. Maybe I’ll retract my statement when I buy a colt.
You definitely got ripped off were i am at they go for eight hundred dollars.
