Denis Villeneuve brings us part 2 of his epic DUNE adaptation. Does it do right by fans of part 1? Here is my review of DUNE: PART 2! #DuneMovie #DunePart2
Agreed, that whole scene they really captured perfectly. They portray the books scenes perfectly imo. All the changes that they made from the book bettered the story to flow more easily.
Part of me feels like this is the first time in a while that a studio has been confident in a film enough to lift the review embargo a week before it reaches theaters
Denis Villenueve is a critics’ darling. All his movies reviewed very well by critics, especially Arrival, Blade Runner 2049, Scicario and Dune 1. Probably why WB felt confident enough to to let the reviews out early so good words of mouth and hype can spread.

When Paul yells SILENCE at the end, it was so damn loud we all about jumped out of our seats. It was an amazing movie, and definitely a great reason to go back to the movies.
@@brycehammerton4542fuck out of here with that, anyone who thinks this movie wasn’t that good has a shit opinion on movies. One of the best movies I’ve ever seen
@@MtpMuzik my biggest issues: 1. Casting of Paul. Chalimet is not cutting it for me. And considering how much screen time he has it is a critical casting 2. Writing. Plot is jumbled. 3. Pacing. Slow is totally fine and even better for a lot of movies. But they need to accomplish things to keep the audience captivated. Character development, storytelling, world building, etc. They can’t just have long dramatic pan outs of the desert while blasting the score
I really hope Denis Villeneuve is able to direct the rest of the Dune Universe, he is the only one who can properly adapt a great book to the big screen.
I would love that, but unfortunately, he's already said that that won't happen because there's too many books for him to adapt and doesn't want to just make Dune movies for the rest of his life. If Part Two makes enough money, he's gonna do Messiah and end it at that
To be fair, the Emperor Shaddam IV didn't have a lot of pages in the book. He was more of a lurking menace than a prime character. He has a few dialogs with other characters and then the direct conclusive scene at the end.
Yeah the Dune 1984 movie made the emperor front and center which I think confuses a lot of people who didnt read the book. Same with the Baron, hes not in the book as much in the second half which explains why he isnt in this one as much.
He has more dialogue in the "prequels", especially in House Corrino, but they obviously don't count as they're not canon. In fact, none of Herbert's son books are. Edit: Same goes for the Baron, who in House Harkonnen was an Adonis and got that present bloated form from a Bene Gesserit who he graped. So that book "explains" why he's like that in the canon series. Thufir Hawat also has a lot more "screentime" in House Atreides which to me was its only saving grace because he barely speaks in the canon series. "Seeing" Lady Jessica as a young acolyte (If my memory serves me right she wasn't a fully professed Sister yet when she first met Leto) in that book was also a plus.
@@SNNetwork Shaddam IV, in the original Dune saga wasn't the threat. The Harkonnens were the proxy the Emperor was using as a weapon. He wasn't supposed to be a overt threat until the final confrontation with Paul. He was a politician and not a great ruler. Fenrig was the guy making things happen, but I don't know if Fenrig shows up in Part 2.
As someone who's read the book, I think this was quite the masterpiece. There's been fantastic subplots, scenes and characters cut from both part 1 and part 2. But I understand that it's probably a matter of runtime and mainstream audiences. Denis definitely captures the spirit of the book and you can truly tell he loves Dune so much. I think a lot of the things we've missed out on so far will definitely be made up for if we get Dune Messiah.
Yeah that's kind of what I felt was after the movie was over I was thinking, "You know I'll bet they cut a bunch of this stuff or tweaked it to roll it into the 3rd film for the second book to spice it up." (pun most definitely intended)
Watching Stellan Skarsgaard, Austin Butler and Dave Bautista kneel before Christopher Walken and Florence Pugh, was worth the price of admission alone.
They had the midnight double bill of Dune 1 and 2 in IMAX last night, it was spectacular. Part 2 definitely could've been 15-30 minutes longer and I would've happily watched, but it was my most anticipated movie of the year and it lived up to my hype. Denis is my favorite filmmaker working today and he is on top of his game with this one. I NEED a Dune Messiah movie tomorrow because I can't get enough of his version of this world
Fun fact Christopher Walken played a role in music video for Fatboy Slim "Weapon of Chocie" where one of the lines is "Walk without rhythm and it won't attrack the worm" so IT WAS MENT TO BE
fun fact, Austin Butler WAS doing a Skarsgard impression. Because he's playing his uncle, so he wanted to have them sound similar because you know....family dialects and accents. He got a voice coach and everything.
@@angelpipessd honestly I think a lot of that is just his voice. and I don't know why having a bit of elvis would be a bad thing? Feyd is supposed to be super sexy, super attractive, and also charismatic. He was the counterpoint to Paul in their breeding program. He was just also a psychopath. So the idea that he would sound like one of the most sensual crooners of the last century, capable of making women spontaneously faint and possibly orgasm at his concerts, seems like a perfectly fitting trait for a character like Feyd to have. Just coupled with a blood curdling personality and a penchant for homicide.
Yup. Low hanging fruit here. I have not seen Dune 2 yet. I'm going on Friday. I loved the original as a kid. Had no idea they made a book on that just like Moby Dick. LOL. I loved Denis Villanueve adaptation of Dune. Can't wait to see this!!! @eqwalle4884
@@RB621337 definitely imax, if you've got an imax 70mm I guess that's even better, but never experienced it myself and can't say if it's an upgrade worth paying for.
Greig Fraser DESERVES more recognition and I wouldn't mind starting a movement just to get him that lol - his work for THE BATMAN was probably the greatest piece of cinematography that genre has seen. Absolutely jawdropping.
@@thejamesbondshow9754 It would be cool to see cinematographers mentioned more often in general. Before The Batman, I had never heard of Greg Fraser, even with his other work and accomplishments. Speaking as a casual movie enjoyer
This isn't an adaptation. It's more like a complete retelling. All the major plot points have been changed entirely. Alia is never born. Chani never gets pregnant, so Leto II is never born and killed by the emperor's men. Paul kills the Baron HIMSELF. Count Hasimir Fenring doesn't even exist. Thufir Hawat is not in this movie or even ever mentioned again. They left out the best line in the entire series "Try looking into that place where you dare not look. You'll find me there, staring out at you." Chani is a girl boss and doesn't want to be Pauls concubine, so she runs off into the desert. It hardly made any sense considering all Fremen men have multiple wives. Please don't read the books first and watch this because you will not enjoy it. This movie could have been 45 minutes shorter without all the slomo walking and deep stares.
No mention of Mentants, no Spacing Guild, no Tlaulexu, no Bulterian Jihad against Thinking Machines, No taboo against using Nukes(made it seem only the Atradies have Nukes), the Bene Gesserit are completely evil, Jessica is a power mad devil. Denis Dune part 3 no golem/clone of Duncan Idaho, no intricate plot. No offspring of Paul and Chani, so no way for anyone to Direct any more Dune books. No children so no Children of Dune. Denis is telling Warner Bros. the books get too crazy to go further. He better not dare call it Dune Messiah. Kathleen Kennedy is probably helping Denis write the script. The story will be so dumbed down Star Wars will be more complex.
@yarsivad000.5 I started laughing when they tried to shoot down Duncan's shielded thopter with a lazgun during the first movie, lol. At that point I realized the writers never read the books. Otherwise they would have known a lazgun contacting a shielded ship would have destroyed the entire city -_-
@@kaliss7192 I hadn’t thought of that. Did they even mention shields attracting worms and driving them into a killing frenzy? And if not, why not protect the harvesters with shields? The book keeps filling in what isn’t covered in the movie (in my head), unless you haven’t read the book or books. Shield an area around the harvester so it can’t be swallowed.
I’m treating Dune like the LOTR franchise. The books will always have more content and depth, but as long as the main beats and tone is there, I can view the movies as a stand alone. Going to be seeing it at the Fan first event.
@Cussmem07 agreed, a perfect adaptation of the books are impossible because of how they were written. But this is a phenomenal adaptation and will get people to read the books as a result, just like LOTR.
Dune part 1 and 2 are both listening films. Part 2 has more action in it but you still have to pay attention to what’s being said. It’s not like Star Wars where you can go and relax and have a fun time with it. It requires your attention or else you’ll miss what’s going on in the film.
@49ersFan415 maybe the 2nd one ..don't have to listen in the first movie...nothing happened Zendaya stared into the horizon.... What a great book series, what a boring movie.
I saw the movie a couple weeks ago, and I watched Part 1 in my hotel room the night before. Definitely elevates the experience. I've seen some theatres locally offering a double feature for Part 1 and Part 2 though, so I might have to give that a shot once the movie is actually out. Back to back on the big screen in one mostly unbroken sitting has gotta be a wild ride.
Going to theaters is unbearable anymore. People have ruined it, the amount of screaming kids and old people needing to pee every 10 min takes so much away from it. Last I went a bunch of idiots felt the need to pull out their phones and film 1/4 of the movie…. I don’t know how you all do it.
@@Romo69here's a suggestion, try to go during a weekday during the day rather than at night on a weekend. For some reason, we see going to the movies as a 7pm and later activity on weekends only. I'm a firm believer going on a Wednesday morning at 10 AM is the way to do it. You'll have the entire theater room to yourself, and once the movie is over you'll have the day to yourself. Going later in the day will have you thinking "oh man, I want to go to the grocery store then go to the gym then do XYZ task but I have to make sure I get it all done before I go to the theater tonight". Watching movies at the start of the day leaves you with the rest of the day running errands. If you work a 9-5 Monday-Friday you're probably out of luck though. I'd still try going early on the weekends, should be much less people than going after 5pm. Also, 90% of theaters now require you to buy tickets in advance. Check online what the seating looks like and go when it's sort of empty. Another trick, wait about a week or two before watching it, if you really cannot go early in the day. I'm an avid movie goer, and I've had no negative experiences lately besides the Five Nights at Freddy's movie but that's to be expected, as the movies main audience was children.
@@Romo69Agreed. I don't go to the movies anymore because I love movies and value the experience. People are so god damn selfish these days , particularly since covid everyone has main character syndrome. Loud obnoxious rude ass holes everywhere. I'll wait a few months then download it.
80s director cut. I grew up watching it for week long summer events on WGN. So, that's my nostalgia 100%. Then come the books including the son picking up and continuing the book series. Even more world building and history while introducing humanity's true 'enemy'.
@@zzygyy Do you mean Children of Dune on SciFi channel? No, I hated the CGI in the commercials and the quality of the shoot. Didn't want it to tarnish my mind.
@@rhago32 It's actually pretty good from what I remember but it's been years since I saw it. I am a huge Villeneuve fan but as a fan of Dune, I'm kinda worried I'm going to end up hating the movie because Dennis changed Chani to the protagonist who now also doesn't believe in the prophecy. I still have 9 days to reread dune, but the excitement kinda left me when I started watching all the trailers that I had avoided before (I had full trust in Villeneuve, untill I saw him in his interview talking about making Chani the protagonist and then saw all the trailers where she says stuff like "the prophecy is meant to enslave us") I think it will be a great sci fi movie. But a horrible adaptation. And I'm 99% sure they did this because the people who don't know anything about Dune complained that it was a white saviour movie. When it really isn't.
@@3choblast3r4 I just watched it a couple hours ago, and I'll let you know that Chani's not the protagonist at all and is a supporting character, and they go all in with the white savior trope
The only issue i have with part 2 is the direction they took Chaney's character. The real one had her mans back. Even killed a challenger in hand to hand to discourage others.
I did miss the subplot you get in the books of characters questioning Lady Jessica's intentions by Gurney and Thufir (who sadly isn't in this movie), but that being said, the essence of the book was captured fully which I think is the important thing
I'm so hyped for this next Thursday. 2024 has badly needed a great movie to arrive ASAP the way it's started out. As much as I enjoy watching Jeremy roast bad movies, it's awesome to see him enthusiastic about a movie that is arriving in theaters soon.
Frank Herbert has written notes and audio clips of him pronouncing the names and phrases in his book. You may be disappointed to hear how Herbert pronounced Harkonnen...
I definitely found Paul's arc to be a bit...rushed? I wished the movie focused more on his internal struggle of being plagued by visions and knowing the terrible outcomes, being the only one who knows what must be done but to get there atrocities must be performed. We got like one scene maybe and then he was just "SILENCE" pilled
I agree with you. In terms of budget, cinematic, and visual, this beats Syfy dune. In terms of pacing and story telling, hmmm yeah I prefer Syfy. Movie is missing some important part from the book. Anyway it's just my opinion.
Think this is one of the best movies I have ever seen...a must-see for this year. Villeneuve has managed to fluently condense a giant story and various plots into part 2, and not one casting seems out of place. The sound is (as expected) incredible, thanks to Hans Zimmer for going absolutely apeshit.
I’ve watched the 2021 Dune three times. It’s a visual masterpiece, but nothing more. It’s not a good movie and it’s definitely not an entertaining or even good adaptation of the book. As bad as the 1984 Dune is, and a bad adaptation in of itself, it is more entertaining but requires the Extended Edition as a qualifier because, ironically, both of these adaptions spanning forty years are utter failures at setting up their universes. I’ll see Dune Part 2 but I feel absolutely no enthusiasm for it.
Coming from a fan big enough that his daughter is named Alia, I am soo happy to hear you say the film was good. And I will always say it HarkOnnen as well - Kudos.
So as far as Austin Butlers performance, he said he wanted his character to have the same mannerisms as the Barron because he’s been close by his side for so long so he takes after him in a lot of ways. Just some added context
The Harkonens were wasted. Not scary or intense. They oozed evil in 1984. Some many things wrong and 0 chemistry between leads. I could go on... It was bad.
dont watch tiktok for reviews. everyone, and i mean almost everyone says the exact same line ''its the greatest movie i've ever seen in my entire life' and its on par with the star wars and LOTR trilogy LOL', yeah they're all reading from the same script, and they're all genz. so yeah, don't bother if you want an unbiased review. just stick to youtube.
Read alot of Patterson and Stephen king novels and loved Tolkiens books growing up so seeing those on the big screen was mostly great. This is the first time I might pick up the books because I really liked the movie. Looking forward to seeing part 2. If Jeremy is this happy it can't be a bad night out ❤
Dune is weird, because you have multiple inner monologues going on IIRK and can be a little confusing, I started reading them when I was 12yo once you get the flow it moves along a lot better, don’t give up if it’s a little frustrating at first 👍🏼
The movies led me to read the books, I just finished the first book the other day. The movies did a great job but there was some absolutely stuff in the books that can't be translated to the big screen, highly recommend!!!
If you really want to understand the story you need to read the book(s). There are just too many plots within plots to convey in a normal allotment of time for a movie. Lots of rich detail is lost in the movie. That being said, part 1 of Dune was fantastic. And part 2 was beyond fantastic. What a beautifully done pair of movies. The look, the sets, the costumes, the worms were all perfect. I would predict awards for cinematic excellence. And the sound was Amazing. I suggest seeing it on the biggest screen with the best sound available in your area.
I realise I am in the 5% but, having loved part one, I felt bitterly disappointed by part two. I found it a chore: it was pretentious, overblown and (despite the gorgeous visuals) very bland. First off, give us some interesting characters. Why should I care less about the machinations of an interplanetary elite. Give me a reason. Sure, I sympathise with the Fremen but the appropriation of islamic culture was offputting, considering real world events. Timothy Chalamet spent most of his time looking like an incontinent emo. Where was his struggle to get to the top? Next, give us some original action ideas. Seriously, did any of the action scenes or set pieces contain fresh, creative ideas? Nope.(There was even a move in the dreary final fight copied from Drunken Master). And then there was the dialogue. As Timmy stared off into space and swore to love Zandaya for all eternity I had to suppress my laughter. Give us a break. Gone were the witty lines of part one to be replaced with blockbuster cliche. God it was awful. I couldn't wait for it to end.
i guess when you set the comments to NEWEST yo get the actual SANE people. my theatre was packed and iot barley got any reaction and people were yawning. its crazy to see the hype this film has gotten already 12th highest rated movie of all time on IMDB SMFH
@@greenkidd529Same here, there was a noticeably muted silence from the crowd (sold out IMAX screening) when it finished. Everyone just filed out and there was no real sense of buzz or euphoria. And yeah the current IMDB score is comedic.
Agreed, Austin Butler was easily the best part yet he had barely any screen time(his final fight was super disappointing too). The ending was super rushed and nothing like the books which is gonna cause so many problems when they try to adapt the next one, mark my words.
When I watched first Dune (1984) I was amazed - I was about 16 years old. I still like it now quite a lot. Dune TV series from 2000 were great considering the budget, Children of Dune 2003 was even better, brought a lot of tears and emotions and is one of the main reasons I want Denis to create Dune part 3 / 4 about Leto, he is amazing as a character. I also loved Dune from Denis Villeneuve, is the best from many points of view such as cinematography, acting ,concept art more Duncan Idaho yet with a lot bigger budget. In the end I love all and I don't really have a clear favorite...
Greig Fraser did such a good job as someone who isn't or wasn't a dune fan these 2 movies just pulled me in so hard even if I didn't always know what was going on I was amazed by what I was looking at.
80s director cut will always be my favorite. So over the top characters really made the story come alive. Kyle MacLachlan's "SILENCE!!!" will never be matched.
Movie had too much teenage emo drama with the interesting parts only in the last 15min - It was kind of anti-climax, not a bad movie, not what i expected either
Having just seen Part 1 and 2 back to back in the theater it was a great experience. Some nice callbacks in the second movie. And just as interesting as Paul's journey is Jessica's going from rebelling Bene Gesserit member to full on Reverend Mother mode.
No, there is no “special cut” its just that they had a special double screening of part 1 and then 2 back to back in my country on monday night, IMAX obviously. Part 1 and then they screened Part 2 afterwards.
Great, epic, but flawed, not a masterpiece. People calling it the best sequel ever is exaggeration. Sudden character arc, rushed climax, doesn't payoff major characters, Zendaya performance was the weakest link. But still an awesome cinematic experience. Hans Zimmer lifted the key moments of the film, gorgeous cinematography and VFX, art direction, makeup and costumes were on point, deserves to be seen in the biggest screen possible. But when we praise the technical aspects of the film at first, it means writers or editors lacked some points.
@@barppoots4378 felt that this was a satirical reply to my review? 😄 Anyways, I won't mind a 4 hr. cut either if it's well edited and adds to the story and dives deep in the primary characters. All the main antagonists in the film didn't got a fitting end and were just way too rushed. Like, Dave Bautista's character was criminally under used, I was expecting a lot from Rabban, he died in just one blow, wtf ?? Vladimir (Skarsgard) had a good enough screen presence but the way he went down was not justified, moreover, Paul stabbing him in the neck and accepting the fact that he died too easily, was just weak writing. As if writers realised that they aren't satisfied with their material but went ahead with it. Film could have been way better.
I felt the same way. I was 100% into it up until the storming of the city; then everything just flew by. The other great houses just...gone. and I miss the part of lynch version where Alia kills the baron. Last tiny criticism..I just hope zebdayas face doesn't freeze in the expression! She was just money for at least the second half. Finally, I wish it had been a good half hour longer. It reminded me in a way of the rush job on GOT. Not nearly as bad, but rushed. I still loved it ..amazing, just could have been more amazing. Don't hate me.
It’s crazy how all three versions are wildly different but they are all amazing in different ways! I think it’s a great example of how a source material can be interpreted differently but still can all be valid adaptations
The movie is brilliant but the ending ruined the movie for me. Left the audience with way too many questions left unanswered and they changed a big part of the original novel. A lot of people at my screening were like "huh?" when the lights went on. The rest of the movie is beautiful though but you have to give the audience at least *something* at the end. Curious to see how they will adapt the next book.
I just watched it and it was good but it started really really slow too long and and I'd like the first one more really don't care about the Love story I never saw the chemistry between them
Oh, Hollywood doesn't have a problem with love stories. It just has a problem with a certain, very common, type of love story. I'm really looking forward to seeing this in an Imax theatre! I'm also going to wait with baited breath for the, hopefully inevitable, super mega extended director's cut boxed set that includes a small amount of actual Spice.
As a book fan, they did such a great job! Did that stay faithful to the story beats? No. Did they emphasize the themes those beats highlighted? Yes. While watching it, I was thinking, "Wow, they stayed faithful while also doing their own thing. What an accomplishment!"
I just finished watching it online and it feels kinda rushed. I feel like they should have made 3 to be honest. It was really good I'm not hating on it. it just feels like it should have been 3 movies. The first movie's pacing was perfect.
hell yea, looking forward to this. I purposefully waited to grab the 4K of part 1 because I figure they are going to release a nice "full version" copy. I was expecting this to be good, positive reviews have me more excited.
I agree there were some scenes that were really fast tracked. It made the overall flow of the movie feel really disjointed to me. The movie was good but I don't think quite as good as the first one. I didn't quite get that invested in Timothee's transition in to a leader either. Felt like a hard stretch. Probably an unpopular opinion but I don't feel that strongly about Zendaya's acting either. The visuals and cinematography are just incredible as expected. The audio was brilliant. The supporting cast also does a phenomenal acting job in their roles. Unfortunately with my earlier points though it kinda just brought the movie down to an average score. I hope in Part Three they get back to the flow and feel of Part One. They need more screen time for the supporting cast because honestly I think that is where the majority of the quality acting comes from.
I look at Part 2 almost similarly as I do Part 1, but for different reasons. Great at some points but kind of okay at others. I think the pacing of 2 was better. But both definitely had their problems with breezing by important plot points. I think that if certain things were introduced in Part 1 that were in 2, 2 might’ve not had to rush certain things. And 1 might’ve not dragged as much.
@Jeremy Jahns I love most of your movie reviews, but here, walking into the theater I would have LOVED IT if you had warned me that this movie had the SAME SLOW PACE than part 1, and "not so much action" either... Basically, I loved part 1, and walked in with the expectation that there would be A LOT LESS EXPOSITION and SLOW PACE due to the fact that they had already sat us through all that exposition and slow pace in part 1... For me I loved part 1 way more than part 2... I didn'T care much for the characters in part 2 as opposed to part 1... There were a lot more cheesy/free/illogical/fast events in part 2 than in part 1 and although the visuals were amazing like they were in part 1, what prevented me from enjoying this one as much was really the slow boring pace and the 180 degrees shift in the paul and Jessica due to the water they drank... I mean, sure... its probably in the book, but I liked Paul and Jessica WAY MORE BEFORE they drank than after...
Denis Villeneuve deceived the DUNE Fans that have been waiting for a true film of the DUNE Series. Denis Villeneuve stated he is a fan and was staying true to the DUNE series. "Seeing" Lady Jessica as a young acolyte (If my memory serves me right she wasn't a fully professed Sister yet when she first met Leto) in that book was also a plus.

What a great book series, what a boring movie.
I watched it yesterday and I kinda get why people would find it boring. It's a movie where not a lot of things happen in terms of plot 😅🤔

Yes there are numerous pictures and proof Herbert was on set of 1984 Dune and he approved all the pronunciations

It is one the greatest asexual romance in movie history.
This one deserves an Awesometacular.
Coming from a fan big enough that his daughter is named Alia, I am soo happy to hear you say the film was good. And I will always say it HarkOnnen as well - Kudos.
That's an......... interesting choice considering her arc.
I gotta ask - did you name your daughter before or after reading messiah and Children of Dune?
I know right... I felt she gets forgiven in the end, it was mostly because it is such a beautiful name and spelling. :)
It was bad.

Dune is weird, because you have multiple inner monologues going on IIRK and can be a little confusing, I started reading them when I was 12yo
once you get the flow it moves along a lot better, don’t give up if it’s a little frustrating at first 👍🏼
The movies led me to read the books, I just finished the first book the other day.
Said it better than I could. All the people saying it's a masterpiece must be on drugs (spice?). The film is OK but nothing awe inspiring.

You are the only person I have heard say the 1984 movie was good 🤣
Dune is a huge book to put into a feature film without it being 6+ hours, cutting scenes is a must.
If they make a 3rd one and Denis Villeneuve nails it. Dune will go down as one of the best movie trilogy’s off all time

2/5 stars seemed like people were saying its a good movie but after watching; its pretty subpar. Writing is pretty bad. I like the first one more.
They did change a lot of the story. I'm on board with all of the changes except one. Everything else made the story flow better
Yes! To me the entire movie felt rushed. We really need like a 4 hour cut. Unfortunately that will probably never happen.

Mopey...not money. Stupid autocorrect
Awful. Boring. Terribly edited.
I just watched it and it was good but it started really really slow too long and and I'd like the first one more really don't care about the Love story I never saw the chemistry between them
Total disappointment ,,,was expecting much more. Really missed the concept of the story.
Possibly the worst sci-fi movie I half watched, walked out of the movies disgusted I wasted my money
I just finished watching it online and it feels kinda rushed. I feel like they should have made 3 to be honest. It was really good I'm not hating on it. it just feels like it should have been 3 movies. The first movie's pacing was perfect.
Great review, seeing it Thursday night, my local cinema is putting on a Dune 1 & Dune 2 double bill, looking forward to it 🎉
Best way to do it!!
Loved being your bartender at the premiere after party at AMNH Jeremy! You’re a great dude 😎
Wiw, that's so cool! Do you have a specialty drink?
Top notch Christopher Walken impression sir!
I don’t think it’s a good movie … even with the more feminist changes to the book.
Snooze fest. AGAIN.
(Edit: the movie, not the review - love your reviews)
Greig Fraser, now a name I'll remember. He's created a visual masterpiece and I'm forever thankful for that.
The fact that this didn't get an AWESOMETACULAR and part 1 did, won't age well
hell yea, looking forward to this. I purposefully waited to grab the 4K of part 1 because I figure they are going to release a nice "full version" copy. I was expecting this to be good, positive reviews have me more excited.
I believe they're going to release an imax version of the movies in the future
Still waiting for your bioshock infinite spoiler review (day 627)
The first dune was trash. Honestly that old 80s dune movie was better than that.
“More cowbells”
Absolutely agree. Part two had a weak script, poor characterization and no new action ideas. It had none of the charm of part one for me.
@@REChronic54part 2 was rushed indeed, Paul managing to unite the tribes in 6 months, impressive while not being full KH yet.
i LOVE the walker improv you did
This is a bit of a difficult one I found it well-made but I might prefer part 1, they are I think more structured than the one from the 80’s.
The deviation of the film after the arena scene was when this film failed and disappointed the DUNE fans. When those that read the DUNE Series, will become disappointed with Part 2 of DUNE as well. Denis Villeneuve failed the current and future DUNE fans.
