Hey, see if you can save $50 every month or even 40. Then soon in a couple of months you can visit Disneyland again. But find a hotel in the city of Orange along Katella Boulevard or Ball Road for reduce rates then take one city bus to Disneyland. Also, to save on the cost of food you can bring outside food into the Disneyland Resort. -Starbucks at downtown Disney offers free refills of basic coffee and tea throughout the day and night.
We'll get the bands when we go back, and I'm sure Disney will integrate them more and more as time goes on. I love the idea of what they can potentially do, and as someone who has never been to Disney World, I'm happy we have them here in CA now.
I'm a magic key holder, and though they do have some tempting cute designs that I do really like, I'm going to pass on these at least for now. I don't use genie plus, so really I'd just use them to scan in the gates (the Batuu game looks fun, but realistically, I'd only do it once). I'd rather budget the money for other merchandise right now.
We got ours in WDW in August and LOVE IT!! Some have said the charge doesn't last but we used our for 10 hours one day and it still had about 25% charge when we returned to our room.
I got the Disney Vacation Club one for use with Disneyland and eventually Aulani!!!! Great job! The most informative magic band + Disneyland video I have seen so far!!!

I love the magic bands , definitely not a must , but we plan to get them next time we visit. It's a fun device , and love the different styles !! We rotate Disneyland and Disney world each time we make a trip . We always go for 4 - 5 days in the parks . Love you both 🥰, wish we could live by the parks . We were just in Disneyland for 5 days about 3 weeks ago .... Already miss it ...

I’m totally going to get one just cause I had one at WDW when we went back in 2016 and we liked them. I like all the designs and plan on using them for the lighting lanes as well. I hope the dining reservations and the purchase portions will be available soon. They are cute!

I just returned from Disneyland and have to say that I wish I would have waited to purchase them. Until they bring back the "fast pass" full integration, it's pointless, as you still have to use your phone to make your ride reservations through Genie Plus. And if you are in a group where not all people have purchased them, and you schedule your rides through the Genie plus portal, you have to pull up individual passes to check everyone in. We hardly used our magic bands. The only time they were used was when we had photos taken, which was not often because photographers were hard to find.
Magic bands just make things easier and the best part is now they the magicband+ can be used at all US parks. I'm going in January to DL and I'm purchasing one online tonight.
I'm very ready to get my first MagicBand, but I'm going to wait for December during the holidays, that way it's ready for to use during the Disney 100 Years of Wonder celebration, plus I already decided on what color to get, thank you for convincing more, you guys😁👍💞

Get fast passes it will make your first trip worth it. I got fast passes when I went a few weeks ago and it was worth it. The fast lanes are less of a wait for rides

Playing games with your band sounds like lots of fun especially the Bounty Hunter game. I'm planning to purchase a band on my next visit to Disneyland. It will be great not to have to waste a lot power with my phone. For Halloween, I will be dressing up as Freddy Krueger from A Nightmare On Elm Street. Thank you so much for this, no wonder that you guys are my favorite stream out of them all. You have given us more info on the Bands then anyone else has, and I watch all the streams that were on. I am still not sure about spending the extra money to get the Bands. I do not know if you can separate your tickets from your Disney App. so that tickets for different people can go on their own bands instead of all having to stay on my phone. If you can, then I will get the Bands for each and give it a try. I don't want to have to stand and get out my phone, find the Disney App. and get every ones tickets checked through.
My family got the magic bands on our last trip to Disney world and we did the pirates of the Caribbean treasure hunt and we had a blast doing it. It was really magical seeing animetronic parrots and paintings coming to life, giving us the next clues to the next interaction. If they do something like that here it would be work l worth it 💯%

Have to say just bought one for our next trip on ebay - not something I usually do - but it was basically down to the regular price, and a design I rly wanted on Shop Disney, but had put off too long! Had no idea then we’d get them at DL before our trip… Anyway, it’s the Runaway Railway one, super cute, couldn’t help myself 😅 Mostly looking forward to the Bounty game, but also using the LL without needing the phone. At least somewhat less phone use will be very nice.

That's exciting that we are finally getting the MagicBands over at Disneyland! I've been wondering when they were going to bring them over this way. Really enjoyed hearing from that long time castmember- you know, don't get me wrong, I love WDW, I worked there for 8 years...but Disneyland was where Walt Disney himself walked, and I think that makes it just a little more special. As for Halloween, my 5 year old wants to dress as Vanellope, and my 7 year old is going to be a galaxy girl, so we don't really have a family theme this year- I think I'll just throw on my Princess Anna costume again. That works with Vanellope at least! 😆
These videos are the best - thanks so much for reviewing the Magic Band+! Those designs are awesome, might have to get some of the limited edition ones! We got them for Disney World and they were great for some interactive play. For Oogie Boogie Bash we will have Sally, a rebel pilot, Cruella, and just a simple bounding costume, that will make my daughters year! She's going to have a blast! We went to Oogie Boogie on 10/18 we were dressed as Sweeny Todd and Mrs. Lovett. Thank you for the video message for my daughters. Hubby and I both got Magic Bands for the Bounty Hunter game its pretty fun.

So I just goggled and asked if you can add multiple tickets and people to a single band and it said yes. So yes that would be worth it especially if you're recording. I also heard you can use I watch and some others as well, but I don't think they have all the same benefits. Definitely something to test

When I got off pirates ride at the end. There was a little light show and vibration. Also on the exit of haunted mansion. Maybe they are adding those little bits of magic.

Love your videos you two, curious as I haven't been to Disneyland in a long time, at the French Market do they still serve fried chicken there? Between the train, the Jazz band and the whole vibe it was the ideal place for lunch or dinner. Enjoy that warm sunny weather!

I must say, though (and you can call me "grandpa"), all the apps, magic wristbands, and mobile food orders make me want to row a canoe to Tom Sawyer's Island and never come back! This video, however, made me realize that the Blue Bayou interior facade is the old Chicken Plantation Restaurant and their original fried chicken recipe is probably a reincarnation at The Plaza Restaurant. Do you think so?

So I just goggled and asked if you can add multiple tickets and people to a single band and it said yes.
So yes that would be worth it especially if you're recording.
I also heard you can use I watch and some others as well, but I don't think they have all the same benefits.

I’d like to know one thing do you reserve your rides on there or do you have to still do it on your phone? And I love the pot roast. My husband always gets the fried chicken. Loved this episode about the bands. In Orlando, you use them for almost everything. Favorite part of this episode was the feature with Steve at the Plaza Inn. Please do more of these interviews as it really personalizes the visit!

Love your videos you two, curious as I haven't been to Disneyland in a long time, at the French Market do they still serve fried chicken there? Between the train, the Jazz band and the whole vibe it was the ideal place for lunch or dinner. Enjoy that warm sunny weather!
Hi.. i go to the park a lot and have not seen fried chicken at The French Market. You can check out Disneyland website or the app and look up the menu at all the dining locations ☺️

Gosh, we really love your videos so much and always look forward to them! I must say, though (and you can call me "grandpa"), all the apps, magic wristbands, and mobile food orders make me want to row a canoe to Tom Sawyer's Island and never come back! This video, however, made me realize that the Blue Bayou interior facade is the old Chicken Plantation Restaurant and their original fried chicken recipe is probably a reincarnation at The Plaza Restaurant. Do you think so?
I think I will be waiting on the magic band for now. Once I see how they work and what they do I'll make my decision.
