Ron, I can still remember the translation of a Latin unseen that came up in my O level exam. Oh Quintillian. Greatest trainer of the Roman bar. Forgive me. Pretty good for an old historian who married an Irish woman. Not all of us do. As always.

Always a joy and to be fair an occasional havoc. You bring me entertainment if I may exhibit an unwonted and occasionally discreet lexicography. You are without doubt an unusual gentleman Cry havoc till the end of time. You are definitely a challenging American. and one I am constrained to admire.

@@CryHavocWarGaming You do actually owe me some Carnevale but I am willing to forgive you since you had the courtesy of introducing me to the game in the first place. My Irish woman will return. She has gone to check on her teenage son. He supports Arsenal football club. As a Tottenham fan I suggested she might like to kick him. Irish women, though lovely, are mercurial and notoriously dangerous.
@@CryHavocWarGaming Vaguely wargaming. I have been with the lass for I think sixteen years. She sometimes reprimands me when, I will admit it, there is an undue plethora of medieval troops on the dining table. Everybody likes Agincourt but not necessarily during Sunday lunch. The damned longbowmen get in your teeth. As always with appreciation. It's a great hobby. Women and toy soldiers. That latter Ron is in jest. You are clearly a sound fellow.
I rarely drink in pubs these days and then usually with a gang who are most often health professionals, I live close by a hospital. Imagine, if you will, my unexpected delight in bumping into Dave the wargamer. There had been an article in a recent Wargames, Soldiers and Strategy magazine on Gangs of Rome and eponymous Dave was painting up what I took to be a starter set using those Humbrol paints so topical of the glossy tinctures of childhood. My partner groaned audibly as my eyes lit up. Glossy coated gangs as if your figures favoured and aped the coat of a well favoured spaniel. He is buying pre painted buildings. Even Homer nods. As always with best wishes. You are clearly riding the zeitgeist like a Californian paddle boarder. Surf's up dude.

I actually rewatched that. I have my beloved Mordheim, Frostgrave, and of course Carnevale. I've been tempted by The Two Fat Lardies and their treatment of Saxon Romano British shenanigans and thought some of the figures and terrain might proxy. Who knows we are wargamers acustomed to dream. I have been unduly lured by Irish myth and Irish women for that matter. I will say you have introduced me to little skirmish escapades. There is value there. It's not all necesseraliy Agincourt. In England a lot of that kind of skirmish stuff started off with cowboys long ago. Don Featherstone era. I will still hunt Dirty Pete McKenna down. He is a grandfather now, known since university days, and prone to rob stagecoaches. As always best wishes.
I don’t mention it a lot on here, but I am a fan of the Lardies. I am playing in a Dux Brit campaign at my club, and also play Sharp Practice, Chain of Command, and What a Tanker
As you may know I have been tempted to do Back of Beyond skirmish. There is a new edition out. Probably a few more figures than Gangs of Rome. I mentioned the word putative to a neighbour who didn't know what it meant. By god I have to live with these people. My word you have sold me on the theme. My gang is going to be nasty. Fortunately, it's an English school thing, I have an O level in Latin. I always knew that would come in useful some day. As always best wishes.

My woman has left me as she often does. Normally she returns. Personally I blame you entirely I am fond of you and the lass but not overly so. A ctually I am quite respectful of you. I may have to let the woman go though I loved her. As always with best wishes.. Naturally I blame you entirely. A man who most usually fights medieval periods is unIkely to be accountable to anybody. You make me laugh and God knows why we follow such a ridiculous hobby or love women.
