I did exactly the same as you. I lost 30 pounds 20 years ago and have kept it off I do not bring anything like candy, chips ,or ice cream, cake or cookies into my house. If I want something like that I treat myself while I’m out, but not every day. I eat popcorn or fresh fruit or a granola bar when I have that urge to snack. I garden and take complete care of my house and yard and help others do the same, which I consider my exercise. I feel very proud of myself and do not miss those bad habits that were actually emotional crutches that I used during a very stressful time in my life.
Thanks for such a great video. For years I yo-yo dieted, would work really hard lose 40 Kilos (80 pounds) and then regain 50 kilos. 10 years ago my diet changed my diet to mostly plant based and cut out most processed food cooking from scratch. I have been able to maintain my weight loss for 10 years. Instead of a puppy I got 3 grandkids who live near me and they keep me moving plus started gardening and dancing again. I agree with you, do physical activity you enjoy, exercising for exercise sake bores me, would rather go for a good bush walk than walk around the block. When I was losing the weight, I bought most of my clothes from the thrift stores. It’s weird, but I feel more beautiful at 60 than I did at 40. I believe it’s because I like myself a lot more now than I did as a younger woman. 😊
Thanks for the advice, I found it really helpful. What resonated particularly with me was when you said you were your heaviest after caring for your Mom but you didn't beat yourself up. I have just come out of a very intense period caring for both of my ageing parents who have both recently passed away. My 30 year marriage also ended last year so there has been stress on many levels and I too am at my heaviest I've ever been. I will take your advice to be kind to myself and make small tweaks in my lifestyle and focus on caring for my myself.
Nancy, you are making so much sense here. About 6 months ago I decided to get healthier. I enjoy cooking and we don't eat processed food so I was ahead of the game there, just had to make a few tweaks and cut out sweets. We have 2 weddings coming up in our family so vanity had something to do with it but my main focus is being healthy and able to enjoy my golden years. I'm with you, positive self-talk is so important. You've gotta love yourself and treat yourself well. Another key point is not having your food temptations around the house. I did that with food but haven't taken the wine out of the house lol. The most impressive change I made was exercising regularly. I also keep track of my exercise. My exercise calendar hangs in my kitchen and I highlight the days I exercise. I use to dread exercise but now I find myself not even thinking about it, I just go and do it. Don't think...Just move. Good luck to all of you ladies who are choosing to get healthier. Great job Nancy.
I have always been lucky weight-wise, but as I have gotten older; I have had to be more mindful of what I eat and to exercise more. To me it is always about more balance in your life. I do not withhold myself from food, but realize that snacking all day and living a sedentary life will punish my body as I get older. What an inspirational video! Please do more!
I had two extra behaviours. I decided to eat according to my appetite rather than letting my taste buds to dictate what and how much to eat. And I increased the amount of veggies on my plate.
Great video. I gained 40 pounds eating potato chips every day during the pandemic and it's still here. I'm a pear shape so I had to buy bigger pants. One pair of black pants and a pair of cropped jeans. I have a lot of tops and jackets that still fit so having only 2 pair of pants for going in public is fine and not noticeable because they are basic wide leg pants. You're right to not have problem foods in the house. I don't buy potato chips but I buy other things theoretically for my husband but I eat most of it. No more. Thanks for the motivation.
Thank you so much, Lauren! I'm so glad to provide motivation. Do one thing every day that helps move the needle forward and before you know it those small changes will add up to a really big change. 🥰
I also gained 40lbs by eating the free cookies everyday at my new job. I stopped doing that and made other small changes. Now I’m 20lbs down and working to get off the next 20. I bought some cheap second hand clothes online to get me through going to the office without wearing gym clothes all the time. 😅 (but I probably bought too many😅)
@@alamedadanceparty OMG COOKIES! 🍪 I can see why you gained weight from them! Great job getting off 20 lbs and wishing you all the best for the next 20 - you can do it! 🥰
I really enjoyed this video. I too have struggled with weight. The first time I reached my highest weight was after menopause. For me it was 25 lbs but it was hard to lose it but I did it. Unfortunately I went back to my old way of eating and gained it back again. The 2nd time it was much harder to lose and I was only able to lose 5 or 10 lbs at a time and maintain that. For me the most important thing I did to maintain it was weigh myself every morning. If I noticed I was gaining weight I was able to stop it before it got out of hand. I would love to see more videos on this subject. Thanks!
i SO APPRECIATE THIS VIDEO\At one point about 10 years ago, I had gone from a size 8 all my life to a plus size at age 63. I am 5' 3", At that time, I had gone to 205 lbs!! I lost 80 lbs. over a year, and remained that size (which was my normal size) for about 8 years. Then we went on a cruise; and then Covid hit!! I have now re-gained about 15 lbs. age 73. All new clothes $$$$. So here we go again! Back to healthy eating; not soothing myself with emotional eating; huge portions of my ice cream, etc. It's so much a mind issue with me.
What an important video. I found messing up caused me to give up and I gained 20 pounds. The extra weight along with steady hotflashes were an uncomfortable time. I had also lost my taste and so tried more foods trying to find taste. Then I remembered some advice that my mom gave me. Even if I stayed at the extra 20 pounds, I was going to keep it there. I would rather fight to keep it at twenty pounds than watch it keep going up. So I did manage to keep it there, give or take 2 to 4 pounds and stayed there for about 5 years. I did buy nice pieces and learned to like myself at my new weight. When the hotflashes and cravings finally started to let up, and my taste came back, I started to do 15 minute workouts at home. After 2 months of that and only eating 1 sweet, I lost 13 pounds. Everything you said in this video I could so relate to. Thank you!
Hi Marie, Thank you for sharing what you went through so others know what to expect! I also love that you used the advice from your mom to just maintain the current weight through this big life change, brilliant! 😍
Wow! This is a fantastic video. I too, have done most of these changes too, over the years. It really has paid off in positive ways, positive self talk is the best! Plus, helping others really comes back you you in spades. I love that you removed the clothes that are not serving you at the moment. Clothes that are too small are just a reminder of a weight gain, and not always a happy feeling. Whe I was loosing weight, I would go to resale shops and find cute things at an affordable price!
Hi Buffy! I can always count on you to have a wonderful comment to my videos! I'm so glad you've already done so many of these things - what are some other tips you have for people?
@@shoppingonchampagne my biggest change was not snacking, my only between meal snacks are fruits (apples oranges grapes berries) and I do not buy any snack foods that tempt me. I still drink wine, but limit myself.
Great video! The part describing the caregiving for your mother really touched my heart. You are so right, there is a time to take care of others and a time to take care of yourself. I am going to take my dog for a walk and then watch the capsule wardrobe video. Keep up the good work.
Thank you for the advice. I just recently took all the clothes that don't fit. It does help to not look at something and then think, no, I can't wear that.
Yes! 100% true. I donated to thrift stores during my weight loss but caught myself donating new close I’d only had for a couple of months. I went inside of the thrift store and found some fantastic jeans and donated them back after I lost more weight then kept the cycle going. I’d treat myself to a couple of new pieces too… all are gone now… along with the weight.
Thank you so much, Jo! I forgot to add a link to my blouse in the description so here it is. Lilly Pulitzer floral silk blouse: rstyle.me/+EebJAaGskZbPBpdgSgUDRA
Great video Nancy ! I love how you talk about talking kindly to yourself. And the analogy of maternity clothes like many other temporary clothes DO have value in our lives.🤗
I like the way you diet by not dieting. I don't need to lose weight but I find your approach sensible. I' would say go for a walk instead of watching cable, if someone wants to shed off some pounds. Thanks for the video!
Congratulations! Best for appearance AND for health! I used Lent to give up sugar, which is omnipresent in our foods, and have lost and kept off 25 pounds. Am the healthier for it as well as looking better.
Very helpful, and meaningful comments on how to remain optimistic while implementing difficult changes, like losing weight. I really appreciate your videos.
My tip when changing to a different size or visiting a spot where you won’t wear the same clothing again is to go to a thrift shop. Wow! There are some amazing name brand clothing to enjoy!
This is great content. I’m in the process of losing weight (20 kilo and I’m halfway there). I have a set of “smaller me” clothes and a set of “bigger me” clothes and I want to declutter soon, but I want to do it in a smart way. I also recognise some of the “smaller me” clothes should be re-evaluated because some might not be worth keeping. It’s time for spring cleaning! I appreciate your practical, helpful advice.
I wish you the best with your weight loss journey! I think you'll enjoy hearing more about mine and what I did with my wardrobe while losing weight: th-cam.com/video/yvfC2WSQSZY/w-d-xo.html
@@nancyciampa3485 Will add this to my video-to-do list. Maybe you want to take all the clothes that don't fit out of your closet for the time being so you don't have to see them. I was getting down on myself the same way and once I took the clothes out it made a huge difference to my mood when getting dressed. Once you lose the weight, you can bring the clothes back into your closet. Give it a try and let me know how it goes! 🥰
Great video! Wow..60 pounds. I am starting my search for a breast reduction surgeon. I hit my all time high weight last week. I really over did it at Easter and all the leftovers. Just lost 2 pounds by restricting food intake. I have almost all my clothes tailored because I want a good fit. If I lose weight, I can have pants taken in. At 5' 1" and 157 pounds, top heavy, I rely on my tailor to make my clothes look perfect for my body. Thank you for the inspiration. Also .. I donated my smaller clothes to my neighbor friends. They were so happy to receive them.
LOVE! Thanks always for everything, I experienced a similar journey caring for my parents, too. Sharing your weight loss journey, especially the positive self talk and "treating" yourself and celebrating your successes. You are soo inspirational and motivating!
I am on a weight loss journey, so far I lost 18 Lbs., 50 more to go. I bought button-down shirts from Kohls, and since I only wear skirts or dresses I was able to get inexpensive denim skirts online, and I also sewed a few skirts for myself. In fact, today I had to take in one of the skirts I sewed. I am a minimalist, I don't have a lot of clothes but what I have I wear. I love your tutorials.
I could have done this video. I also lost 60 lbs, post menopausal. I started walking and doing things I like. I eat smaller meals. I do use Blue Apron which helps as well. Thanks for sharing.
@@shoppingonchampagne I did a lot of the things you did. I walk more. Cut out all of the food that’s bad for me. I did intermittent fasting because I would eat from the time I woke up until bedtime. My window is from 12:00- 10:00 pm. I teach night classes which is why I have a late window.
Hi Diane, I bought a solid paddle board and asked salesperson for the most stable beginner board they have! The one I have is from NSP. Here' s a link to it so you can see the size and specs: us.nspsurfboards.com/products/hit-cruiser
Great ideas! 3 years ago I stopped the sugar, gluten, and snacks. It has made me feel so much better. Have lost 25 lbs, still have 15 to lose. But I will get there.
Meat of all kinds, non starchy vegetables. Goat or buffalo cheeses. Nuts, berries, non dairy yogurt without sugar. If I need something sweet, dark chocolate in small amounts and no gluten bars. My c reactive protein is now zero and my autoimmune problems have calmed down. So I will eat like this forever. If I am hungry for a pasta, jovial makes several and they actually taste like pasta lol.
I just watched your video for the first time and subscribed. You have some very good advice. I absolutely love the top you’re wearing. Do you know where you bought it?
Thanks for subbing! 😍 So sorry, I usually put links to my outfit in the description - so I'll go do that now! The floral print silk blouse I'm wearing is from Lilly Pulitzer. Here's a link to it: rstyle.me/+EebJAaGskZbPBpdgSgUDRA
Very good advice for the changes we can make to loose weight. In my case, too, the habit of having 2 glasses of wine every day was one of the reasons of putting on 30 kg . I also had to ban all the cakes I liked to snack on. Just like you I only have dark chocolate in the house which I enjoy daily. Another change I made is to eat more vegetables and less carbs. I hope to stick to these habits for the remainder of my life because I know only too well that otherwise I surely would put on weight.
I suppose most helpful for me is going to the Slimming World group session regularly. Not everyone looses weight every week, but the ones that do work as a role model. You don't want to be the only one not loosing weight.@@shoppingonchampagne
I even cut out the creamer I used to drink with my coffee. Now I am fasting 20/4. I think it's called the warrior diet. For 20 hours I dont eat, for 4hrs, I eat a normal meal and sometimes I eat popcorn too because it's my favorite. Generally that means eating at 5:30. The only exercise I do is walk and rock in my rocker. Hello Fresh has bioenginered food in it so I was told we couldn't serve them anymore by hubbie. I've lost hundreds of pounds during my life. This last time was brought on by health issues, prednisone, other drugs and pandemic weight. I started out at 293 and I'm down to 239. I'm an apple shape now. I just bought some Amazon clothes in size 18/20 because I needed some pants and shoes because my shoe size shrank. I'm aiming for a size 14 and I'm going to be happy with that.
Loved this video! I too had to keep the chips and candy out of my house. I have those bad days though when the stress gets to me, where I pick up some candy along with the healthy stuff. At 63 it's more about feeling good in my skin and gaining more energy. Love the tips you gave, great inspiration!
I just lost 55 lbs I went from a 3X to 14. I did same no diet eat less and not buying certain items. In past I kept all my clothes. This time I got rid of all the sizes that don’t fit. My goal is to keep the same weight thru the holidays as I want to lose 15 more lbs. Going to be slow going now as it’s winter time here. I love to bike ride.
Hi Frances, Congratulations on your incredible achievement! Losing 55 lbs is no small feat, and it sounds like you've found a sustainable approach that works for you. It's a wise decision to clear out clothes that no longer fit, as it can be very motivating to maintain your progress. Setting a goal to keep steady through the holidays is a great idea, especially with an additional goal in sight. While winter might slow down your biking routine, perhaps there are other activities you can enjoy during the colder months. Keep up the fantastic work, and remember to celebrate your journey and the progress you've made! 🥰
I adore you! Your vibe, your calming voice! This video is helping me a lot! I am 69 and finding it very hard to exercise! I always watch you a few years ago when you did the fashion segments. Pls pls remind us of your first name! I guess it's my young beautiful age!! 😊🙏🌞🇨🇦
Omg you sound like me, I've changed a lot in my life n my food intake, not really a diet, but changing my bad habits,. The clue To me I think is if it's not in you fridge or your pantry then you won't be tempted, I cut in alcohol, and white flours, cookies etc. aI Don't buy or drink fruity juices and soda has been out of my home ever since I became a mom I did not want to start that bad habit...I did rescue a dog so I need to go out and walk my dog, I am also a member of " Silver sneakers" do I go to three classes at the Y three times a week. So ty for the pointers 👏
I ordered a big lucite box with a lock from Amazon because my husband cant resist buying sweets, especially BOGOs. He can eat just one. I can't. I make him lock up the cookies and crackers and hide the key from me. When he worked overseas, I threw out all the carbs when he left. Now that we're retired, locking up temptation is the best I can do.
Your puppy will keep you mentally sharp, physically fit and emotionally happy😂😂 Also, women deserve a break in getting help with meal prep and housekeeping after doing everything for decades 😅😅 wow, 65% off🎉🎉
If it was only me in the house, I'd have no trouble keeping the "do not eat' foods out of the house. But hubby wants them and then I am tempted! Ugh. 🤪🤪🤣🤣 Oh to have the fortitude to just say no like my dad did. He was amazing! He stopped smoking cold turkey after 30 years of being quite a heavy smoker. I would love to be that focused. We have two dogs so yes I'm moving around a lot during the day. Like someone else below mentioned, I've gained 20 pounds I'd like to lose but I don't fluctuate too much, have clothes that fit my body shape, and don't beat myself up over the extra weight. I look at my relatives, many who lived well into their 90's, and see I'm the same shape/weight as they are. Maybe this is the right weight for me, even though charts say otherwise. 😉 We need to remember we're not just a number/height on a chart! We are all unique individuals with varying DNA/ethnic backgrounds.
Hi Lindylee, I went slow and steady and only made one small change at a time. It took me approximately 2.5 years to lose sixty pounds. You can do it! 🥰
Hi Nancy. Great job and a smart decision too, cause we all know diets do not work. There have never been so many diets to choose from and never so many overweight people. I was just wondering how long it took you to loose those 60 pounds. It’s a lot of weight isn’t it.
I’m a positive person. But I had my pituitary gland removed a little over eight years ago. So now, I’m taking steroids to keep my cortisol up. And I’m packing on the weight. I’m not happy about that. I want to start exercising. I have been sick this last week. I think I had the flu. But when I do feel better I will start exercising. I want to move so we can have a pool. We live in Georgia, so the weather stays warm a long time. But we live on the side of a mountain. I keep two sizes in my house. Because when I wean myself off the steroids I can lose weight. But I have no energy. I feel terrible. So I have decided if I have to take the steroids for the rest of my life. I’m going to exercise and do other things to keep the weight off of me. And I’m going to have to keep doing it the rest of my life. We live in the country, so there is no gym close by. I have weights, kettle bells and a lot of exercise dvd’s . And those are what I will use. I just don’t want to keep gaining weight. I did that before I had my surgery. When my pituitary wasn’t working. The biggest I was, was 228. And I was miserable. I do not want to get that big again. My normal weight is about 155-165. I’m happy there. And I will get there. My husband will not be buying me sweets all the time. No more ice cream. That was my downfall. I can spend a fortune on clothes. That doesn’t bother me. I have two daughters and a bunch of granddaughters who will take my clothes. I just refuse to get any bigger. So these size 16 jeans stop fitting me. I will only wear sweatpants or skirts. I’m not going any higher.
Hi Pamela, You are going through so much - so give yourself some grace for all that you have been through! You might have a new normal weight after having your gland removed and that's okay! Just try and do one small thing each day that will move you towards your goal. Those small changes can have a huge impact. Also, keep going with the positive self-talk! 🥰 Great job!
I cannot keep potato chips, cookies or candies in the house. I allow myself popcorn 1x a week and wine on weekends only and not more tan 1 or 2 glasses.
How much did you weigh before? Anyone who hasn't dieted in a while can lose 30 lbs in 3 months just being sensible, cutting out junk, not eating after 6pm...etc. Then your metabolism slows down. It's the last 30 and that fat around your middle that you have to starve for. I did ADF for 55 days and then ... this is important took 3 months to wean off it. At 50 calories a week. 50 a week only. Walking is good for your joints but you will lose no weight. That fit bit is useless garbage. Doing everything correctly, including the weaning it would take a year to lose 60 pounds. Where is your loose skin???
Hi Ginger, Thanks for all your questions! At my highest, I weighed 218. I did not lose the weight quickly - it took approximately 2-3 years of changing my life, meals, and activities. I also did not approach it that I wanted to lose weight - my goal was to live and feel healthier - the weight loss was a bonus in my mind. I walked not only to lose weight but also for my own happiness and mindset as well as the other activities I mentioned. I think because I lost weight slowly, I don't have any loose skin.
There are several times during a month where my husband is away and I'm the only one eating Hello Fresh. I make a meal for dinner and then put the remainder in the fridge for lunch the next day. It has worked really well for me and I love getting to reheat these meals.

Thank you for the advice. I just recently took all the clothes that don't fit. It does help to not look at something and then think, no, I can't wear that.
You got this, Cath! 🤩
Yes!
Great job! Thanks so much for sharing! 😍
Thank you for this down-to-earth and inspiring video Nancy!
My pleasure! 😍
Great video Nancy! I would love to see a “what I eat in a day” video. 😊
Great idea!! I've added it to my videos-to-make list! 🤩
Thank you for the weight loss advice. I looove your blouse! You look fabulous.
I appreciate that, Bernadette! 🥰
Congratulations! Best for appearance AND for health! I used Lent to give up sugar, which is omnipresent in our foods, and have lost and kept off 25 pounds. Am the healthier for it as well as looking better.
Thank you too for the weight loss advice and thanking your body. 🤗
You are so welcome 🥰
Thank you Nancy...so helpful for my weight loss journey!!!xxx
You are so welcome 🤗
Very helpful, and meaningful comments on how to remain optimistic while implementing difficult changes, like losing weight. I really appreciate your videos.
Hi Hannah, thank you so much for your kind words. I'm so glad you are enjoying the videos! 🥰
My tip when changing to a different size or visiting a spot where you won’t wear the same clothing again is to go to a thrift shop. Wow! There are some amazing name brand clothing to enjoy!
Great advice, thanks for sharing! 😀
Thank you for sharing this video, I need lots of inspiration to become my best self. I would love to see more videos like this.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it, Nancy! Anything in particular you'd like me to cover on this topic?
@@shoppingonchampagne weight control and exercise. I'm having such a tough time with it. I stare at my beautiful clothes and can't wear them.
Great video thank you! Really appreciate your ideas for positive self talk.
Glad it was helpful!
Hi Carol, I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks for sharing, and be sure to celebrate every pound you lose! Congrats on your journey! 🥳
I am so glad yourself. That’s important to me because I like your videos and this is the way to get to know you better. Great video.
Thank you so much, Patti! What else would you like me to talk about?
Wow!! You look really amazing in that black dress and shawl. I want that outfit, and hairstyle!! 😍
This is the best Utube video I have ever seen. Thank you so much for you wonderful coaching and advice.
Hi Gina, Thank you so much- I'm thrilled you enjoyed it! 🥰
What a great pep talk! Thank You! I am so sorry about your Mom.
Thank you so much for your kind words, Teresa. I'm glad you enjoyed the video 🥰
Yes would like to know more about the positive self talk. Thank you!
You got it! Adding it to my videos-to-make list! 🥰
Great tips! Enjoy your channel. By the way, you have a lovely voice. 🌸
Pilates!!!! I just love pilates so much!!! I need to try paddle boarding 😍😍😍
You should!
I could have done this video. I also lost 60 lbs, post menopausal. I started walking and doing things I like. I eat smaller meals. I do use Blue Apron which helps as well. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Tina, that's great to hear! What are some tips or tricks you had that really helped you lose weight?
@@shoppingonchampagne I did a lot of the things you did. I walk more. Cut out all of the food that’s bad for me. I did intermittent fasting because I would eat from the time I woke up until bedtime. My window is from 12:00- 10:00 pm. I teach night classes which is why I have a late window.
@@tmougo Thanks for sharing your tips! LOL I'm a night owl, so I understand the late hours! 🥰
Great ideas! Work or walk. Love it!
Thank you Nancy....you are so right on...I appreciate you sharing your journey ! Are you still knitting ?
Great video! Just what I needed to hear. I have removed the temptations, and this has been a huge plus in helping steer me toward the healthy stuff.
Thank you, Elizabeth! I think the biggest thing for me was replacing the temptations with other foods I enjoy so I never feel deprived. 😀
What kind of paddle board do you have? Solid or inflatable? Interested in trying. I've lost 90 lbs.
Hi Diane, I bought a solid paddle board and asked salesperson for the most stable beginner board they have! The one I have is from NSP. Here' s a link to it so you can see the size and specs: us.nspsurfboards.com/products/hit-cruiser
Thank you for sharing your weight loss journey. Everything in this video was an inspiration.
Thank you so much, Sue! 🥰
Great ideas! 3 years ago I stopped the sugar, gluten, and snacks. It has made me feel so much better. Have lost 25 lbs, still have 15 to lose. But I will get there.
That's awesome, Kandice! What are some of the foods you enjoy now?
Meat of all kinds, non starchy vegetables. Goat or buffalo cheeses. Nuts, berries, non dairy yogurt without sugar. If I need something sweet, dark chocolate in small amounts and no gluten bars. My c reactive protein is now zero and my autoimmune problems have calmed down. So I will eat like this forever. If I am hungry for a pasta, jovial makes several and they actually taste like pasta lol.
Really loving your most recent videos, they resonate with me and you provide more than fashion tips, thank you❣️
I really enjoy your videos and find them very helpful
Thanks so much for your kind words, Tracey! 🥰
Excellent advices and strategy for mental and practical journey. Best! Thank you so
much
Very good advice for the changes we can make to loose weight.
Wow, Marina! You made so many great choices. What is the biggest tip you can share with others trying to lose weight?
I suppose most helpful for me is going to the Slimming World group session regularly. Not everyone looses weight every week, but the ones that do work as a role model. You don't want to be the only one not loosing weight.@@shoppingonchampagne
I walk barefoot in the nature and this helped me too much for my health 👍🥰
I love it - thanks for sharing! 🥰
Great video, I’m a first time viewer, I love your comment “ work or walk” I will be using that, Im retired and at home, thank you. 🇨🇦
Hi Marja! I'm glad you enjoyed the video and found the work or walk idea helpful. What fashion topic would you like me to cover? 😍
Hi, I have watched some of your previous videos, you have covered a lot of topics in them that I have found very helpful. Thank you.
@@marjazadow2501 That's great to hear! I'm here any time you have a fashion question and more videos are on the way! 😀
The glasses you have on are they considerate “blue light” glasses?
Put Pelligrino and limes in and wine out. Love it!!
Now. To get rid of the chips!!
Such a great video Nancy! Really motivating, inspirating and back-to-basics thoughts and fashion. Greetings from Switzerland
Loved this video! I too had to keep the chips and candy out of my house. I have those bad days though when the stress gets to me, where I pick up some candy along with the healthy stuff. At 63 it's more about feeling good in my skin and gaining more energy. Love the tips you gave, great inspiration!
Thank you for your kind words, Tanya! I also love your words of wisdom about feeling good in your skin and gaining more energy! 😍
Nancy, I love your videos. I am a Lilly Pulitzer lover too. Can you share all the clothes you have in the capsule behind you?
This was an excellent, inspiring video with such good suggestions for better health. Really enjoy your videos!! Thank you 1:43
Thank you so much, Nancy! 🥰
Great video! I really needed this. Thank you !
Thanks for such a great video. You have really motivated me!
Hi Frances,
Congratulations on your incredible achievement! 🥰

Great alcohol advice. It’s what I do and it works.
Glad to hear it, Cassandra! 😍
Thanks so much for sharing your tips, Nan! 🤩
Such a great motivational video. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Your temptations are not the same as mine at all. So we each need to tweak our own lifestyle/habits.
Absolutely! I'd love to know what your temptations are!
Congratulations on your weight loss.
Fabulous video! Very motivating!
Tried it - works well
Such great advice!🥰
Thank you so much, Marjorie! 😍
Thank you so much for your video 👍👏🥰🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
You’re welcome 😊 Carmen!
Really good tips. I have 60 pounds to lose. How long did it take you to lose that amount of weight? You look really good, congrats.
❤❤❤ thank you!
Ugh! My menopause pounds are making me feel so down because my clothes have suddenly all shrunk 😢
Hip surgery and daily exercise now. Lost 20ish and no more cellulite. Bottom and legs good.
That's great to hear, Cathy! 🥰
And the dark chocolate and popcorn.
🍫🍿
Thank you thank you. I really need you. I also need to lose 60 lb.
You got this! 🤩
What kind of dark chocolate did you keep at home and enjoy to eat?
Danke
Popcorn is all carbs. Just keep that in mind if you are someone that needs to limit their carb intake.
Yes, but it's not a ton of carbs for how much you can eat and I use olive oil to help slow the absorption. It's such a great snack!
I cannot keep potato chips, cookies or candies in the house. I allow myself popcorn 1x a week and wine on weekends only and not more tan 1 or 2 glasses.
How soon did you lose the 60 pounds?
I did it slow and steady. It took me about a year and a half to loose the weight. So I lost about a pound per week.
Nice advice. But those glasses you are wearing.... they're much too heavy for your face.
I love You, You are so nice lady
Thank you so much, Zuzanna! 🥰
All I took from this was that you have the cutest dog! 😂 I would love to know his or her name! 🥰
Hi Heather! Thank you so much! Her name is Maggie and she's a Malshi - a Maltese/Shih Tzu mix. 🥰
Hello Fresh is too much food for one person. One box is like 3 meals and then you are overspending on groceries.
There are several times during a month where my husband is away and I'm the only one eating Hello Fresh. I make a meal for dinner and then put the remainder in the fridge for lunch the next day. It has worked really well for me and I love getting to reheat these meals.
Yes, clean out kitchen.... don't buy again every time you go to a store.
So true!
Please hold your hands still - you look like you’re puppeteering and it’s spoiling your interesting content.
