The universe made you regret not recording a small slab we'd love to see.
I’m sure it’s on a video for another day
were here for the small and large projects.
After this are you going to put a barricade at the entrance to this road with a big sign that says,
DO NOT ENTER
QUICKSAND !
why bother? too many people would ignore it
@@howlers8 True, but it would give us one more reason to laugh at them.
@@howlers8 true, idk how cali laws are but in most other states it would keep ryno from being legally held accountable for anything b/c of someone stupidity
@@0Heeroyuy01it’s not my property, there’s some no trespassing signs but people remove them to illegally off-road there.
I'd be more likely to give a long suffering sigh and ask them "are you blind? or just stupid?@@dalegereaux1863
That going to be a huge payday for those tow truck companies😂😂😂😂
Bruh.. it’s like 3 grand an hour per truck lmaoo
I still don't know how this truck didn't tip over. I've had to upright dumptrucks that tipped over for less. Shout out to the guys that got it out shiny side still up. Also I offered many times to bring equipment, road plates over but dealing with big company policies is never easy.
Probably the mud, mud can cake things up and hold them in weird positions
Maybe block it off for heavy trucks ?
Yeah, that was really close. That's really weird that they didn't let you help or assist with your Excavator! That would save a lot of time and money. But i guess its all about liability.
Your a good man sir
James the old 299 could of pulled it out 🤔🤔🫣🫣🫣🤘🏽
As a tow truck driver for 21 years love the peanut gallery went homeowners tried to help
What do you think about them pulling the whole truck into the quick sand instead of pulling it out from the front?
@@TravisInDallasassuming you obviously didn’t use your eyes there was no way to get them in the front 🤦🏾♂️
@@tj1lincoln182hahaha 💯
When you reverse the drum to discharge the concrete, it actually shifts some weight up towards the passenger side of the truck. He would have been much better to slowly dump his mud out and get all that weight off the truck. Even just dumping a couple yards would have lightened him by an easy 8,000 lbs.
Exactly right, I drove redi mix trucks for 15 years, I fell into an abandoned water tank on a farm with 8 yds. On. I unloaded the truck, leaning so much the tag axle on the driver's side was about 2 1/2- 3' off the ground, once the mud was off, a single mack tow truck sucked it out of the hole. The truck is more stable than you'd think with the huge pile of dirt up against the down side. I would have tried to unload at least some of it.
I agree with you all, they should have tried to offload the concrete, even if it’s a loader bucket at a time. I used to work for superior Readymix.
Definitely sounded like highway through hell there towards the end 😂 man you don't f@ckin listen to me!! 🤬🤬
Props to those two tow truck driver like major props..was no joke. Even the cement driver props to him too.
The kids having a picnic was great. The second driver reminded me of my dad when I was trying to learn something and he would finally lose his mind on me :D
My anxiety was through the roof! Especially when the drivers under the fender with the impact! 🤯Awesome video keep it up!
I respect for what you do and how popular your TH-cam channel is🫡 love watching your videos man
That tow truck driver comes to my work all the time. Cool guy
I’ve watched you from the beginning
That’s the best video ever
Loved this video! I have a huge respect &passion for tow operators. I have family members & friends that are tow operators who risk their lives every day to help people. They definitely don’t get as much respect & attention as they truly deserve. #thinyellowlinefamily💛
You guys are out with lawn chairs. 😂
One of the best videos so far.
You would think the driver would have an emergency chemical that they could add in the event things of this nature happens. Great video thanks for sharing!
I've worked in ready mix for the last 17 years, drivers carry recover for this very situation.
It’s called Coca Cola 😂😂
It's also called sugar 😆
Sugar or oil a case of soda
Problem is you have to mix on full rev for 3 minutes to get chemical all through the concrete. That much shaking would have flipped the truck and it would have been pointless
this video has got to be 1 of your craziest days ever! glad nobody was hurt!
Dawn Dish Soap will also help liquefy it.
I drove ready mix for 4 years and 8oz of dawn soap will make 8 yards pretty wet for a while.
As a driver when in doubt, walk it out before you just send it. Don't trust anyone telling you it's ok. (Not saying you guys told him to go where he went lol)
that last bit of advice has saved me from some sketchy situations. Especially the "we get trucks in here all the time" situations.
@@The_JEB At our company, if we get the customer to sign the paper then that puts them at full responsibility. So if they told us to back the truck over a curb, on a driveway or down a sketchy muddy road... As long as it was signed they are responsible for the tow bill or more if something happened. Most contractors knew that and if they wanted us to do something sketchy they knew not to sign the sheet. I would write exactly what they wanted me to do, have them sign it and if it they didn't sign... I would stop where I knew it was safe.
The soap just adds air to the load. Our drivers carry a couple of gallons of recover incase they have truck problems, and need to trash a load.
@@JoshOfAllThings Correct, adds air. I was gonna say that but didn't want to confuse people who are not familiar with the term and how it works. I never had recover, just kept a bottle of dawn in the truck and a bucket of acid on the side to keep the truck clean when sitting around on a site lol 😆
I dont drive concrete, but I do drive a 22k lb truck. I walk it out anytime I question it
As a tow truck driver they did a good job but definitely took more time than we would have. It’s extremely dangerous standing by those lines but sometimes you don’t have a choice depending on your truck and if you have a remote. Kudos to those guys
I’m sure if they were able to get right up to the truck , it would have been out a lot faster also
Good to always see Dave
Yeah I think the big excavator would’ve definitely worked better
Unfortunately I’m sure the driver got fired or suspended. Companies hate it when they have to shell out big bucks for a wrecker like that. I pray for his and his families sake the company was understanding but I know plenty who aren’t. Props to everyone who got muddy to help get this fella out
We got a truck stuck and after two hours I made the decision to get the concrete off. We were able to wheel it quite a distance but saved the load. It did set quickly as it builds up heat while the drum is turning. I think it would have been wiser to dump the load where it sat and deal with the pile out of the truck. Luckily this tow worked out with no injuries (just many thousands in tow bill)
Call Dave Sparks
They should have called that guy from Florida that has that Jeep! He would have had that thing out in like an Hour! Lol!
truth be told, I didn;t think it would go out in one piece. Also I am commenting to support the channel at least a little bit :)
Talk about worst case scenario. Glad it all worked out in the end...for the most part 😂
This is the best video yet! Everyone coming out to watch and stuff.
Monumental effort and hard work will get you out of that sh1t!!!! It was worh getting it out and off your property. Insert anything worth having is worth working hard for. Double amputee with congestive heart failure here and wayching these makes me feel like i am able to be involved some how. Thank you for being a hard worker and having a great work ethic.
That was awesome,thank you
I've driven mixer truck. Except it was all front discharge trucks. Some advantages to the front discharge trucks. They are built by Oshkosh. Built just like the military trucks they build. Six wheel drive. For fun we used to go into the runaway truck ramps in the deep gravel and drive around some of those your undercarriage drags through the gravel. Only to just drive out. Yes that sand isn't good for any concrete truck. But i believe the Oshkosh would've gotten out easier. At least no one was hurt and you got great content out of it. 👍
My money would have been on James grabbing the exercator to atleast dig out where it was buried. I am wondering if the cement truck driver will be fired or suspended for a week or two?
Thanks for the video, that was a hard pull
Man thats going to be one hell of a recovery bill! Bet you guys could have dug some dirt out and lifted it out in much less time.
You might want to set up some barricades at the entrance of the road or bleachers for the next show. Someone is bound to head that direction before the ground dries out..... Never a dull moment at Ryno Ranch....
Not gonna lie this is your best video yet!
Should put some warning signs up lol 😂
Man his co worker hell boy😂😂😂
We always used a bottle of Karo syrup to save the concrete truck if it got stuck or the chain broke. Yep some days are just screwed.
Chain drive ... that goes back a few years ... the company I drove for back in the 80's had a bunch of 9 yd chain drive Rex's
You should get a tractor wrecker and do it up for SEMA 🤣🤣🤣
Why not block that section off if its that bad?
He’s not very bright
@@channeldos It's not his property.
Did anyone ever make a food/drink run?
Awesome content man! Never a dull upload. Thanks.
That was a $200,000 day for that concrete company, between paying that drivers wages, the two wreckers, fixing that concrete truck, chipping out that full load of concrete, and the time that the truck is down, all the loss of use. Dam what an expensive wrong turn.
How did you figure 200k?
@@Tombomb1816 how did you not? Do you know how much two wreckers cost for 12 + hours. Wreckers charge more the more rural or remote the job is. That could have easily been $1,000 per hour per truck, depending on the company. Plus what ever does or doesn’t need replaced on that truck now. And it being out of operation or having to turn down future business because that truck is down. Not to mention, their driver, the one who got that truck, started at 5 or 6 am that day and was there last when the sun went down. He hit OT today for that.
@alankowalski8781 Hmm OK, so how did you come up with 200k? Must be some expensive OT lol.
@@Tombomb1816 I started adding, you know that thing called math? If that truck is down let’s say a week or two, how much money do you think they are loosing per day if that truck isn’t running, plus paying a driver that they don’t have a truck for. The big concrete jobs can add up really Fing quick. Not to even mention if that drum that had all the concrete in it needs replaced. If that thing had 8 yards of concrete and it’s now solid. You might not get somebody to be able to clean that out.
Don't have to worry about the driver not having a truck for a couple of weeks. I'm sure he doesn't have a job anymore.
When in doubt, you stay out on the road and make the contractor/customer come out and show you where they want you to come in.
Need a sign saying quick sand do Not drive on
I did the same thing 52 years ago in an old Mack B61. I thought it might turn over too but they got a dozer and pulled it out!
That corner needs a few loads of big rocks or broken chunks of concrete and a sign. 😂
Run a strap around the right side rear pedestal up near the roller and keep tension on it, it won't go over
I agree that there should be a sign for that “road”
This was one crazy video lmaoo
That would’ve went a lot easier if someone would’ve told the driver to dump the load off to the side. Then someone could’ve pushed the concrete with a tractor if it started to backflow
Now when a UPS truck comes through it will disappear. Lol
Ryno Rescue where you Gotta Want to Work For It. Well done to everyone involved. If you want to see more tow truck action look up Highway Thru Hell. 😊👍👍👍
Good video of a bad situation.
Great video. You should hit 1 million views on this one.
Shoutout to C&D towing!!
That was a great movie
Time for a sign that says "no entrance for any reason!!"
Great job recording and documenting this! And nice haircut!!! 😂😂
Hey despite being the owner of that quick sand lol you guys helped where you could
How does the road not have a sign telling people not to drive on it? How many people need to get stuck?
It’s private property. Only reason there’s even what looks like a road there is because people go off-roading there illegally.
@@DMAXRYNO I totally get that, a sign would save a heck of a lot of time. Certainly good for channel content though. We’ve got some good videos from the quicksand
Quite the show!!
I watched Ghost ship when i was younger and I'm still scared of cable snapping
time for a warning sign in that turn off
Rule #1 when off road after rain. Watch where the green grass grows..stop get out look at topography. Been there in situation many times. That excavator would hook and pulled out. A big one has hundreds pounds pulling force. The giant ones have almost 1,000,000 pounds force
You know that the load should have been dumped before pulling.
You could have curbed the road 😂
Awesome video
I would of started unloading the concrete as much as possible before the pull!
With all the neighbors showing up for the free show hopefully someone at least bought the workers a pizza.
Haha we offered them food, drinks and a room if it got too late
That's when you just unload and come back and scoup up the dryed concrete
Would think the spare axle being down before starting to pull would have helped keep the bumper from digging…….
🎉 That is pretty crazy🎉
Believe it or not it is super common for concrete trucks to get stuck. My Dad drove them for years and in rainy season of Florida the sand gobbles trucks
This whwn you need The Diesel Brothers to take over the recovery.
This was a bad ass video!!
What a stressful day! Glad that wasn't on your dime!
Should have brought a concrete pump and unloaded the sunk in mixer to the pump and pumped the concrete into an empty mixer takes a lot of weight off the truck
Man that suspense was killing me, unlike the bill $uperior ready mix is going to get.
Another video from Ryno???!!
Me: YES PLEASE!
only thing that makes sense to comment...WOW>
Of all the uses I didn't know Coke had - keeping concrete from going off...wow. Learn something every day, even though I work in the concrete business.
That thing was just sunk. Wow.
Great vid!!
Fuckin neighbors sitting on the lawn chairs took me out! 😂😂😂
Seems like the truck should've just jettisoned its load; that would've made it lighter, saved the drum, and maybe mitigated your quicksand problem there.
First time watching, WOW. Great video and commentary. I agree with you regarding to at least try the excavator unfortunately people making the decisions are the ones sitting behind a desk. ( ) You fill in the blank space. God bless you and your loved ones.
Man you need to get a small volumetric mixer trailer.
Concrete trucks that I know all carry a 5# bag of sugar to stop the creet from going off.
I think that first truck should’ve rigged up to prevent a tip over then they could’ve poured the concrete out saving the drum and making it come out so much easier
I deliver concrete and have seen a few things. Did you use the concrete or was it too old by the time they got the truck out?
Another driver had a mixer stuck and it was leaning. After the tow truck stabilized the truck, we ran the load off and disposed of it for solid fill with a skid loader. After the truck was empty, the wrecker easily pulled it out.
Wonder if they ever thought to let the last axle arm down… would help stabilize/lift the ass end up a little bit
That was an awesome video!
Need to post that road, STOP Danger quicksand road.
Mountain Dew is what we used. Also carried a bag of sugar
Still trying to figure out why the rear axle never got put down
I'm actually surprised they didn't try and use the Tag Axle to lift the rear of the mixer.... If you guys had some long heavy boards to put under the tires he could of used it to lift the rear of the truck as they pulled back on it. Or some steal plates. That tag axle is strong enough to lift the real of the truck with a full 8 yards. I have seen guys use it to get out of sketchy situations before.
Only at hooking up the cable in video, Im thinking pull it out frontwards.
Life of a mixer... Dropping the bridge axle before the tire truck hooked up, might've helped some...
Great job guys
