But his mids are pretty low and he does seem more comfortable around the lower end of things. This video is bad for measuring this since it's just the extremes.
To me he's most likely a baritone, who's not really singing from his chest, but instead uses a lot of nasal sound. His scale and the placement of "passagio" seems to fit very well with the baritone range.

Tobias is not only higher placed in voice but his timbre is audibly much lighter, and elvis is already considered by many to be teetering the line between baritone and tenor

I know many baritones (myself included even though I'm on a lower spectrum of a baritone) who can sound similar in higher register, when they drop the chest register and only use their head voice. To me Tobias sounds (quite in the opposition to what you've said) really strained there (f4-a4) and isn't as clear as a tenor would - probably the only exception being kiss the goat, which he doesn't sing live this high, they always drop a semitone or a whole tone. Whereas at the same time I don't know many tenors who could produce the sound he made in the "Avalanche". Of course I would never consider him to be a low baritone, but the spectrum of that voice is actually pretty big, and if you want I can show you some classical examples that may (or may not) change your mind.

I started listening to Ghost back when Ritual started being played on SiriusXM. Went to their first Canadian show ever and have seen them every time they come. I've met Papa, last time was during the Pale tour, the Copia Conclave they called it. Someone was over and saw all the Ghost gift merch and signed portrait etc. in my place and asked, "You really like Ghost, huh?" And my response has always been the same, that in all the years I've listened to Ghost, from Infestissumam to today (I love OE but it was before I first heard them), I have never been disappointed. Not only that, I've absolutely loved it all, he switches genres, singing styles, personas, and I'm here for all of it lol. Unquestionably my favorite band. I just have a bone to pick about not getting the last photo with Papa sent to me.
There are some insanely deep notes he's able to reach with different vocal registers, like the growling in Faith, and probably the majority of Repugnant's discography. It's almost infuriating that he's learned most by himself! (not hating, genuine fan over here)
Tobias voice is so good in cover song of; "Stay With Me" ft wilson patrck.. their vocals together sounds so good.. & i never knew Patrick Wilson can sing too.. he can act & sing. UNDERRATED CELEBRITY..
He’s amazing on vinyl and live. Wonderful show 2/8/22 in PA. Couldn’t ask for anything more. He quickly became one of my favorite artist around the time Cirice was released and I can’t wait for my pre ordered Impera Vinyl!

If I had to pick a favorite I would probably say it’s a tie between Twenties and Kaiserian. Hunters Moon & Call Me are so much fun as are others. I very much appreciate the effort put into the album and I’m still reeling from seeing them live! Papa’s showmanship really made my cold heart smile.

I've listened to the studio version about 6 times and really don't think it's him but a Goulet. Which I really wish it would have been him screaming instead of a female.
One thing I noticed while working on my own version of Mary on a Cross for a live set is that there's a lot of jump- Mary on a Cross has almost a full octave jump in the line "you go down just like holy Mary, Mary on a, Mary on a cross" and that's really cool that he can jump up and down so well
Yes yes that song is kinda tricky to sing because the chorus is very low baritone stuff and then the verses (especially the "but through all the sorrow" bit) are super high! Tobias'most impressive ability is controlling all of that super naturally

Singing along with Tobias has wonderfully improved my tone and given my zippy vibrato a workout. The man/the band are literally everything I've always wanted musically. Tobias is a big, darkish goofy goober. When he's done with Ghost, Tobias should play PT Barnum or something.

Yes! But harsh vocals are really difficult to measure the pitch of so I didn't even bother. I am sure if somebody were to look into that they'd find lots of neat stuff.
