I ran an RTX 3090Ti LC behind an RTX 3090Ti FTW 🙌 and the temps peaked nothing over 80 degrees Celsius from what I saw in my rig. I do content creations and mor on the work side so having both a 4090 and 3090Ti at the expense of 17 degrees is worth it because the increase in VRAM is crucial for rendering. Standard gaming, only 1 card due to how the game doesn’t even utilize both cards if slotted. Workstation = 2 or 3 Cards; Gaming = 1 Card. I tested mine via threadripper, the Asus swrx80 Sage motherboard, but for mainstream boards, running 2 cards is risky due to CPU bottleneck ing and the lack of PCI lanes depending on the motherboard.

Swap them around since the 4090 is thicker. Then you will have a little air gap, I saw that right away. PCI lanes may be an issue since you don't have 16x, 16x. Use MSI Suprim Hybrids with Threadripper to get the 16x 16x (128 lane cpu) unless you have a working x299 with i9-7980xe ( that's what I have). This allows 44 lanes.

10:27, not exactly, the reason the listed frequency is half of what the kit is advertised for is not because the RAM is running in dual channel, but it is Double Data Rate memory (DDR 5) so the number of megatransfers is double the actual frequency, which in this case is 2600MHZ. The same number would be listed if you ran the Memory in single channel.

Disagree. I'm on an LG CX48 and the 3080 barely does half the displays capability on it's own. High settings in a lot of games at 4k I'm around 60fps which is playable, sure, but when you can get 120FPS visible? It's not lol.
I would have done dual 3080 if it got me to where the 4090 does now. I do custom loop cooling so my 3080 has never gone over 55C and adding a second wouldn't bring it much higher peak temp. I have a 4090 showing up Thursday and it's getting a waterblock as well but as someone who used to do SLI all the way up to the 2080TI days, I think you're finally right that the 4090 is a card that finally doesn't need a second to pull off what most people at the high end want.
