It looks kinda funny when only the centre, main character has some sort of dialogue and Leorio is shouting something on the side, but one is not able to hear anything.
@@WizzTizzlmnessRpg type. It stopped at the heavens arena arc. But some special missions let you fight Uvogin and Nobunaga as bosses. It was nice but it could have been better.
The only way to respect the game (barely) is if it's low price and an initial big roster, and not many dlcs. Because the current roster is the same size of Marvel games from around 1996 (and those games were 2v2), that is unnacceptable today. Otherwise if it really has a small roster the game will look like a cheap opportunist just exploiting the current game scene, where Marvel died and DBFZ (the best replacement for a while) already ended the updates. Marvel fans are starving... and i could add HxH fans too, a kinda famous franchise that doesnt get console games. Same energy of exploit when a wave of Smash clones started coming after SSBU ended the updates.
There are chances the company will show some sense of shame and not charge an unfitting price (for these standards). But there are also chances the company will choose to rip off exactly because this is... (1) a HxH console game in the mid 2020s, from a franchise not expected to get a new game outside of mobile, (2) but a popular enough franchise to be able to carry a cheap looking game, (3) and a traditional 2d fg no less, that is very rare for the franchise, (4) and that follows the MvC style, in an era when MvC itself remains dead and DBFZ already ended its content cycle and there's no other "replacement". Exactly because it's very common to find developers of anime games ripping off the customer just doing whatever. Decades of experience in the gaming market have proven that a popular 3rd party franchise always carry. Remember the many DBZ games in the 90s and 00s that were packed and sold in a completely unfinished and unproper form, but the companies didnt care and just kept pumping out games every year, no matter the quality, just to exploit the immense hype around DBZ around that time in Japan (and outside Japan after the 90s).
Bro has not played many psp games lmao, its atleast early ps3/psvita, it looks underwhelming yes but this game has the gaming budget equivalent of a subway menu, lets hope future hxh games are more ambitious
@WizzTizzlmness like don’t get me wrong, it looks like a really good game with good graphics and mechanics and gives off a Umvc3 vibe but if they are gonna do this, they will need an insanely big roster, like at least 2 or 3 times bigger then the one they have already. Like add all the spiders. Even all chimera ants that were shown in the anime. If they can make a character out of leorio and macho from that little bit they have seen. They can make a bigger roster including good characters. I specifically want feitan
The game is amazing people don't realize that the budget for it is low that's wow it's not the best game in terms of graphics, but they are not bad or mid either, plus for a fighting game what matters is it being a fun fighting game
@@ChocoWolfEatsYou I personally would enjoy playing it, you could say I'm a simpleton just cause it's a jjk game lol, but I would've loved it more if it was like the storm series or demon slayer
I think graphics is a big part of what makes fighting games fun. People wanna see the flashy moves and to feel cool while pulling them off. The gameplay itself looks like any other 3v3 fighting game out there but with a much smaller roster. Only saving grace of this game is the HxH IP and maybe the game price (if it is $30 or less). This game is going to get blown away by any game made by ArcSystem. Hell, you can get the latest Guilty Gear right now for $15, which is already superior to this game in every way.
@@Tatmeister689 well everyone who played it said that it's smooth and it's really fun, and fighting game enthusiast only care about that, a fighting game being a good fighting game, there are many anime fighting games that are only good for the fans but not as a fighting game
Actually i've started wondering lately if maybe that's the best way to revive the "Marvel" gameplay system. Because Marvel itself is not a franchise to deal with anymore for many reasons... the franchise's face nowadays is the movies and the company naturally wants that product to be advertised, while the MvC players are boomers who grew with the comics and cartoons and the own MvC games and only want to see the characters' classic looks. Also Marvel heroes themselves lost the cultural power they always had, after anime was globalized for real in the 90s. So in a way sticking to "MvC" is a kind of retro idea... the own Marvel game franchise is a result of a deal with Capcom aiming to advertise Marvel harder in Japan in the 90s. Capcom made a lot of other Marvel games outside of fighting games at that same time. So maybe it would work better for Capcom to forget Marvel heroes and revive the "Marvel" system with another franchise... maybe anime. I'm just not sure about the licensing troubles to make an actual anime crossover. But it really seems like a more viable solution. Anime became kinda more impactful in the global pop culture over the years compared to Marvel heroes.
@@carlosaugusto9821 At this point i don't even care, they could make a crossover using only Capcom characters. That probably would also mean more creative freedom. Just give us something, man. I understand everyone’s complaints for this game and all I have to say is, y’all have no idea how good we’re gonna have it when this game releases. We need anime licensed fighters to prosper. Just because this game doesn’t look like Guilty Gear or DBFZ doesn’t mean its gonna be a bad. Just give it an honest shot. Whether you buy it day 1 or on a sale or at a friend’s place. Just give it a shot and you might be surprised.

Aside from the visuals, which are expected from the given budget, my only complaint is the initial roster size. A 3v3 game should not have so few characters like that.
I know the difference. The graphics are terrible. They were unable to properly translate the artstyle of hxh to 3D or at least create a good looking one for the game. The models themselfs are decent enough, but the shadowmapping sucks and they have stiff animations
Yikes I know it’s still in development but, whatever the engine is; dump it. This ain’t smooth animation at all and I’m sure the lag will be worse online.
This game just seems like a cheap put together project to exploit the end of DBFZ's content life cycle (not death yet, but it's close to it). It's surfing on the hype wave that DBFZ created by using a Marvel-like gameplay on an anime series. Similar to when Smash clones started showing up one after the other after SSBU ended content updates.
Also it clearly shows that the company is working way beyond their capacity. Like the choice of going 3x3, when this format actually requires a large roster to be actually. The devs are desperate to make the "next DBFZ" so they went with the same 3x3 format of DBFZ, but it seems like that the company's standards are too humble for that ambitious plan to work well. I mean a 3x3 game in the mid 2020s for the ps5 needs to have near 30 chars at launch... but is the company capable of doing that? There are 16 slots in the select screen of the current build revealed in gameplay footage, and that is the same size of 90s Marvel games.
