Technically Gon is just back to square 1 in a state before he learned nen. I imagine he'd have to retrain to get his abilities back or even get new ones. I feel like Gon and Killua's story hasn't ended yet, Gin taking a trip to the DC kinda means that Gon would have to do so as a challenge and Nanika having a connection to the DC would mean Killua has to get involved too.
I do like that the gang of 4 is coming back.

Problem with that is if Gon knows of nen, and that one of the ways to awaken new is to have it infused, he surely would have already done it.
Bet that a plot point is either going to be that he was essentially reincarnated, and his new bodies nen is completely foreign to his feelings and understandings of it.
Other bet is that he still has all of the nen, but noone is dumb enough to infuse into him because opening the 3k psi valve of nen into his repaired bodies 10psi rated 'veins' would be tantamount to murder/death. This would be especially bad for Gon as he knows there is a way to protect his family, but the path towards getting there is so long that he would struggle to justify going down it lest others end up like Kite

It makes a lot more sense when you think of Calamities and the Dark continent, perhaps the hunter exam and the lifestyle is a system put in place to select the ones strong enough to survive on that Dark continent
Nothijg in HXH makes sense. Its the typical anime that tries to be serious but abides to the "rule of cool" everytime making the world a disjointed meaningless mess. Im surprised it got this many people talking about it when it has this many flaws and nobody talks about them. Its a complete bonkers anime with the logic of a Tex Avery cartoon

I have a weird relation with the creator of HxH, on one hand I like his work but on the other hand I kind of hate him for not being able to just hire an illustrator to keep his work going.
I know it's his passion project and he wants to do it himself but his health does not agree with him and the franchise being as popular as it is kinda brings a responssabilities to the fan to deliver the work.
Nothing stops him to help with the illustrations when he's healthy enough to do it but if he's not, he should just drop the work unto someone else. The dude suffers from chronic back pain, not cancer ffs.
I agree, it's still his project if he just supervises it. Isn't the joy of manga being able to share a story to begin with? It needs to be consistently published for people to stay engaged.
I think he might be one of those people who gets all their ideas while they are in their creative mode while drawing so just writing on a document will result in less creative work

One thing I just theorized: all expeditions using a guide that successfully returned were forced to bring back a threat. We don't know if unsanctioned expeditions, like the one of Netero, used guides. Guides may only be a necessity for comparably unqualified personnel, so Netero along Zoldyck and the third member we saw might not have needed them, or might not have had access to them. But what if they had one? The most boring answer would be that the threat they needed to bring back was Nanika, a part of the 'ai.' In this case, we would have a repeat of a previous threat. Given that Alluka is Killua's sister, it stands to reason that she isn't the first host of Nanika. My guess would be that the Zoldycks transfer Nanika to a new host after a given period of time, but that is just speculation. But what if the threat was the journal? A roadmap to exploring the dark continent that would tempt the nations of the known world to send more expeditions, thinking- mistakenly- that they now have a chance of a better outcome?
So hyped for more from the dark continent, got me more excited than the tournament so far 😂
Really hope it’s full of calamities/threads/monsters like the five to six with Nanika already mentioned to really bring out the survival of the fittest here 🎉🎉🎉

I would like to see the ocean outside the dark continent, as well as the other continents on the planet. But still though it's crazy how the countries in lake mobius is just a collection of huge continents; inside an enormous lake, which is in the center of a many times more enormous continent; which dwarf the lake at it's center. I wanna see the other continents on the surface of the planet, or is it just the Dark continent with the rest of the planet covered in water.
Great video, but wanted to mention two points.
One, wasn't Hellbell a two-tailed snake rather than two-headed? But I'm glad you got it's venom's effect right, plenty of people confused it as just a deadly venom.

They’re just beasts that use nen naturally. There’s nothing magical about them. They likely got the name because most people don’t know about nen. Someone without the knowledge of nen coming across one of these beasts would probably see them as magical.
The real term should be "Mystical" beasts as they transcend natural boundaries and are more supernatural. Every beast and creature on the dark continent uses nen aswell.

Ging said his aura is fine, but because the wish was to 'turn Gon back to normal" he was reset to pre-nen awakening. Gon would have to start over again.

Im gonna be honest. I feel like Hunter X Hunter is the only manga that i feel like would benefit from having 1000+ manga chapters like One Piece.
Like we've *barely* scratched the surface on the scale of the HxH world and lore. We have a whole continent that hasnt even been elaborated on in detail aside from showing off some amazing otherworldy creatures and threats (5 calamities) yet unfortunately we will probably *never* get the extensive writing it deserves.
Like who is Don freecss? Is he actually related to Gon and Ging? Is he still alive? If so he'd be over 300. How strong is he? Where is "Journey to the New World West" at? Is it done? Or still being written?
How strong is Beyond Netero? Whats his abilities? Or Ging? Whats his Nen abilities?
I understand Togashi has health problems, but i wish he'd go the Akira Toriyama route and have someone else draw for him, while he lays out the story and the details.
Hunter X Hunter *deserves* to be finished. Its one of the best written manga/anime around, Togashi is my favorite Mangaka (Yu Yu Hakusho is my favorite manga/anime)
All these great characters and their world deserves a fitting end for their journey/story.

I have a question, do Nen rules work as an emotional person base or a greater power? For example: Kuripikas chains can only be used on Phamtom Troupe members or he dies, what would happen if he used the chains on someone who said and he thought they were Phamtom Troupe members? Would he die or would it work

his nen works on any and all he wants its only that one chain of the 5 that he uses that can only be used on phantom troupe. i fairly sure its a death sentence if he uses that one chain on non member cause its that vow that gives that chain its strenght but that vow doesnt affect the other 4.

Killua isn't off doing any assassin work at all. He's traveling with his sister that's it... I have no idea where he's getting some of these facts from.
@@MegaDman16 NCHammer does tend to take liberties with the lore, from what I understand. His information is informative, but not absolute canon compliance. For example, his hatred of Sasuke and seeing him as the worst character is incredibly subjective, as there are just as bad characters. He has this habit of narrowing his view on some things and jumping through hoops to reach his desired end point, and makes his points sometimes contrived.
Like in a recent video, he scoffed at Sasuke being as powerful as Naruto. And he's right, if being powerful just meant quantity of powers or raw power. Skill is a definition point of combat ability, as is tactical ability. His argument only becomes relevant if you trim away other relevant points to highlight those that are needed for his argument. Like a scientist altering an experiment continuously to reach their theory, rather than testing their theory against practical application like an experiment is supposed to be.
The only logical deduction I reach is this: Killua's most defining feature is as an assassin, so he must be doing something assassin-like in his past time, otherwise it breaks the premises of his character. Meanwhile, I look back at all the times that Killua has fought and think that this point likely isn't true at all, because Killua hasn't relied on his Assassin training for all his interactions or fights. Even that of the training which he uses passively, became a part of him and not part of being an assassin.

Wait, so Kurapika and Leorio are the mc's now? We aren't going to see much, if any Gon and Kilua? I was excited to get more Hunter x Hunter until I heard that. Don't get me wrong, Kurapika is , eh, ok as a character. But I wouldn't want to follow an ENTIRE series arc based on him as the MC.
And I think Leorio makes a good side character for comedy relief, but not as a semi-mc lead role. If it was Killua, or Gon, or Gon's father, Netero's son, etc as the MC, sure, would be willing to read/watch if it got an anime adaptation.
Luckily most people don’t share your opinion. If you’ve finished watching the entire anime, switch over to the manga and catch up to the story. Doing this may change your opinion! Hopefully you give it a shot so you can enjoy the return with the rest of us! 💪
The disease doesn’t sound too bad if you have an ability that nullifies pain or simply have a high pain tolerance. A master enhancer would probably thrive.

I'm incredibly interest in that Northern, circle-within-a-circle piece of land with on the HxH map, which I guess is probably not big enough to be a continent, but sadly I doubt we'll ever get the story expanding on that. I imagine most people care very little on that, or never even thought of it, but I don't know it just stuck out to me.
Which brings up a good point, I guess since the known world isn't a globe, the North and South aren't necessarily cold, and the middle might not be hot. Hm, you got me thinking.
the circle within a circle island is probably some kind of Atlantis nod as that's essentially Platos ancient description of it (it might even be three rings now that I think about it)

One Piece irl is the moon Europa, while the world of Hunter x Hunter is the giant red-spot hurricane on Jupiter's surface.
To truly understand hunter x hunter you have to know about the esoteric stuff that was hidden in plain sight. Most just look at that show and thought damn it's a cool anime. When those that caught the jewels the author was dropping was astounding. Like the world tree? Same concept with the dark continent if you know the actual real world origins behind this concept.

@@lancelaurel3828 the dark continent is a dead give away. These animes make millions off legit copying world lore, renaming it something else with a fantasy story. Bam you have a new top selling anime. But at the animes Corp is a complete ripoff hiding facts right in front of your face. Almost to a fact of mocking the audience.
dark continent is special saga for HxH fans. its empty continent, just like us the fans of HxH. we feel empty cause HxH keeps on hiatus
