  • This '01 Chevy S10 had the dreaded unwanted ABS activation symptom. The discovered cause is not typical.
However before pulling diagnostic codes and looking at sensor data, I have to track down a power feed issue to the DLC connector. Enjoy!

Just wanted to tell you, thank you, great video, no excess talking, no background elevator music and to the point. But the most important aspect for me is your human kindness towards others. God Bless you Sir, He will bring you unimaginable rewards.

I was a technician in the rocky mountain area, I used to complain about a little mud ,and or a little livestock pooh, but man I never saw rust, thank goodness, another very informative video thanks for sharing.

+Robert Hayward Ironically the bearing itself failed within a year so that truck got a new sensor anyways haha :)

so glad we don't have to endure snow on the roads here in Australia, with the salt causing major corrosion to the underside of your vehicles. That truck would be scrapped over here due to its major rust issues. However, if the majority of your older cars are pretty much in the same condition, then concessions would be need to be made to accommodate the predicament many are faced with. Cheers

I’ve learned a ton of good diagnostic info from your videos
    Thank you
I’m a new diy mechanic working on my trooper and I’m trying to get better at electrical diagnostics
The video lost me where the light lit up with the scanner hooked up but didn’t when you unhooked it
So if it were shorted the light would have lit when you hooked it from Positive to ground on that fuse ?
And why did the scan tool make it light dim?
    Thanks for taking time man?
I’ve watched all your videos and watch you all the time to learn.
    Great channel

New front hubs come with the sensors. You can get them on eBay for little over $100/pair w/free shipping.
It's usually wear in the hub bearing or CV axle that causes the sensors to go bad (reluctor wheel starts contacting the sensor).

The wheel hubs on the Yukon will go bad now that you have just replaced the wheel speed sensors if they were rusted that bad.

well that is a sensible fix a truck that old with a new sensor for a cut wire is nonsense many mechanics would have changed it while is a very simple and cheap fix.... and one more thought came to my mind why don't you change your channel name to Pine Hollow Auto Diagnostics? with that name and excellent work you will gain subs fast motoYam82

What? He made a fix which is cheaper than taking everything apart to get a new wire routed, which night lead to bolts stripping etc. so he's chosen the cheapest safe way to fix it - what's the problem with that?

  • @vencentbauer

    • @RubenKelevra
