Watching the British news here & not long ago they had a panel on one debate show where 2 of the 3 women said male abuse is nonsense & they should fight back (blaming weakness on this idea men are no longer masculine anymore which is ludicrous). I’ve even heard women myself say that men who abuse other men - if they’re gay they might enjoy it. It’s disgusting - because that’s the same thing as saying a woman in a short skirt is raped she asked for it.

Then at 3am i suddenly remembered, i was SA'd by my father on Christmas eve when I was 12. I was paralyzed. Took me a whole month to pick myself up together. Still working on my mental health to this day. Everything suddenly clicked: why i act the way i act, my depression and anxiety, my reactions to trauma, my sexual well- being, everything. When I was 19 I went out to a bar to get drinks and meet a guy I’d been talking to for months, the night went pretty well he was super nice and polite and funny and stuff I actually liked him a lot, after the bar closed he drove me home and he pulled over the car 2 blocks away from my home and he tried to kiss me and touch me but he was being too aggressive so I got scared and I told him to stop, when I said pls stop something changed on his eyes the way he was looking at me was scary almost as if he was getting turned on seeing me get scared, he kept trying to touch me and when I tried to open the door to get out he locked it and at that point I was literally petrified I thought that if I made an impulsive move or something he would r*pe or ki11 me, he was bigger than me and stronger so every time I tried to push him away he would grab my arm very strongly and pull me closer. I don’t even remember how but I opened the door and ran to my house. I remember the feeling of shame because I thought because I was a men that could never happen to me. He was obviously not a teenager or a white male as he would always tell me on the group chat. He ended up taking me to his apartment and practiced some sexual things on me that I wasn't even aware of at that time. I beg him to take me home and he did. A day later I told him to stop calling or texting because I didn't want to speak to him. He threatened me and said was going to make my life a living hell for having rejected him.. Turns out he wasn't really 18, but 24, his name wasn't Nick.. it was Miguel and was Cuban not Caucasian... He really wanted to be with me even though I was an underage kid in HS and he was 24.

    I’m an 19 year gay guy and scary situations like this happen to me very often. However, the crazy thing is, the men that do these things aren’t or wouldn’t even say they are gay men. They would say they are bi (cause I’ve had multiple bi men sexually assault me) or they would say they are straight men (they are mostly likely DL but most INSIST they are straight and still try and come on to you sexually and its very overbearing and intimidating). From my observation of my own personal experiences and its just my opinion. I think a lot of men are just sexual deviants or perverts and their actions have nothing to do with a given sexuality, but just their own sexual fantasies and desires and most of the time for some these sexual deviants its about power and humiliation and not connection or sexual attraction at all. As for what can be done about this all I can say is have very high standards on who you allow yourself around no in the closet or dl men because they have shown to be quite spontaneous and unpredictable in behavior and just stay as safe as possible. I am so freaking angry this happened to those poor men and I relate so much it hurts.

    Speaking as a gay man who lives in a very big city, this is one issue far too many people are afraid, or embarrassed to talk about it, but we have to, because it happens a lot more than you could imagine. I have a friend who works on the Toronto police force. He tells me that men being raped, and/or assaulted is not that uncommon, particularly through these dating apps. Most of them are too ashamed and embarrassed to come forward and tell the police, even though Toronto is a very gay friendly city, that stigma still remains, and we are shaming people into silence. I’ve been very lucky in my life, having met my husband, when I was only 20, before the Internet existed, I met them by a newspaper advertisement in the personal section, remember those? It was love at first sight, and we have been together for 34 years now, but not everybody is so lucky. Even back, then, through personal advertisements in the newspaper, men have been attacked and raped more times than I care to remember. No hesitation, I can honestly say that almost every friend who is gay that I know of, has had either violence or rape happened to them sometime over the past few decades, while using advertisements, either in the old fashion newspapers, or the more modern dating apps. take heed of the advice they give you in this video, if you’re going to meet somebody you haven’t met before, make sure at least one person knows where you’re going, allow them to track your movements using the find friends app, it’s available for Apple, and android, allowing whomever you designate to follow your movements. Option number two, you can use a tracking device like an apple AirTag. I keep both with me at all times, because you never know what could happen. I’ll share with you one thing that’s very painful for me to share. About five years ago, one of my dearest and oldest friends, who had been single for a few years, decided to start dating, used tinder, and another app called grinder, I don’t know which app it was, but he met a man, didn’t tell anybody that he had arrange a date, and foolishly agreed to meet this complete stranger in his own house. That was the last time anybody saw him alive. He went to the guys house, and from what the police have told us, he was pulled inside, immediately beaten over the head with a crowbar, knocked unconscious. He was then tied up, stripped, naked, raped, and then beaten to death. Because it happened in a private residence the police don’t have all the details, and they never will. Forensics can only tell them so much. Blunt force trauma was the cause of death, but I just keep playing it over and over in my head what he must’ve went through in those last few moments. Even if you are homophobic, we are still human beings, nobody deserves this, and it happens to a lot of women as well. The media doesn’t cover it as much as they should, but most times, especially if it’s a gay man, families, do not want the media to know. I was there with his parents when they found out, you do not want to ever hear a mother scream the way I heard her scream that day, it’s the most heart wrenching, horrific sound you could ever imagine. they nor I will ever be the same, luckily, they caught his murderer, and he was sentenced to life in prison with no parole, but that will never bring back my dear friend. So please be careful, it might seem like a lot of fun, but the Internet is full of danger, people pretending to be somebody they’re not, if you decide to use an app, that’s fine, millions of people do, just make sure that you meet in a public place for the first time, make sure at least one person knows exactly where you are, and at what time, and make sure somebody has the ability to track your location. 99% of the time nothing happens, but that 1% is well worth the extra effort of making sure someone is watching out for you, I wouldn’t wish what I went through with my friend and his family on anybody, it completely devastated me, and his poor family will never recover. Please don’t ever let it happen again, just imagine if it was somebody that you loved, how would you feel? Thank you for listening, and please be careful and stay safe, thank you.

      Violation of trust? Who in their right mind would trust a stranger? Your comment makes no sense. It's a violation that you were forcibly attacked could not protect yourself therefore you were violated. It's a power trip it has nothing to do with trust. Obviously you've never been raped

      @benjaminmurray455 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@patriciapadilla2022 OK because clearly someone wants to have beef this early in the morning. Let's do this: First off- When someone goes on a dating app which the guy in this video clearly did, that individual is putting themselves out there with a stranger (in most cases) hoping that it would lead to a connection, a good time or whatever the individual maybe seeking. Nobody is hoping to get assaulted or raped or any of that shit and yet that was what happened. Second Sexual assault is just as much a psychological attack as well as physical. It's not just forcing someone to do something against their will but it involves so much more than that. Why do think people rarely report these things? Girl I'm not going to engage in verbal combat because yeah that's clearly what you're seeking 😒 🙄 I got way better shit to do with my precious time, but friendly piece of advice yeah; "if you have nothing valuable to contribute in this space, don't.... as that's an affront to everyone here." Furthermore you know nothing about me, so don't assume or make assumptions. This conversation thread is about safely venting our feelings on a matter that was unfortunate to befall the man.

No matter how much times I told her No, stop etc. She is always in everyone’s private business asking people things a boss should not be asking a coworker. She talks bad about everyone and what she doesn’t know. Not only does no one not like her, majority tells each others what she says about them. Little did she know. I was already talking to someone. Who I did not meet on tinder. Told no one nothing and kept him far from place. Had another coworker asked me about my child’s father one day. The way I watched the woman. She backed up. I know of an incident in Boston, it was a murder disguised as a BDSM same-sex encounter. A certain 40 y.o. man agreed to meet this creep at a certain crag in a park in Dorchester. The crag overhanged the ground below. The creep stripped the victim naked, hogtied him, tied the other end of the rope in a noose around his neck, and threw him over. The rope snagged on the crag, suspending the poor guy in mid-air above the ground below. No matter what he tried to do, whether struggle to get free, untie the knots, or just rest, the rope around his neck got tighter and tighter. His last minutes alive must have been terrifying. 😨😰😱😭😭😭

So I stopped talking to him. A few months later, he hit me up outta the blue. This was December. We ended up meeting, he took me out for food, came back to my place, and we chilled. We had a good time. He ended up telling me his real name, so idk what’s going on. I’m in shock!! Like I literally can’t believe this! What are the odds of me even coming across this on TH-cam! One of the issues are that people tend to feel less at risk with people that are considered more attractive so they let their guard down more than they would with someone who is average. some tips are out there on apps but always get more than one picture, try to get Instagram , facebook , or another profile to verify they are legit. Also don't go to places that are secluded. If you are going to hookup don't try for the first night or meeting, talk over the course of multiple days and have someone be able to track your phone. Also have another person send a text message to check up. IF IN TROUBLE send" I am okay and I'm probably going to spend the night" If you are okay have a code word like banana or pineapple" It can be scary out here but I get that this won't prevent or be every situation but protect yourself like it was your child going to a new friends house

    Absolutely horrific! This has been happening for a long time, before these dating apps. It use to be Craigslist, or other ads where gay men would advertise for massage, etc. There have been numerous cases where gay men were found murdered. One case that I can think of was when I lived in Seattle was a young man who met up with someone and he became missing and he was found dead in the trunk of his car. Many of these situations are targeted attacks/hate crimes with straight men pretending to be gay. One reason why they were targets was a lot of gay men or closeted men would not tell anyone why they were meeting up with someone, one being shame, especially if it was for sex. You cannot trust anyone. You have to be very careful with meeting anyone. You could even become a target if you’re selling something to someone, which is why the transaction should be done in public if possible. Prostitutes have been targets as well; men and women, or anyone meeting someone regardless. I think there was even a case where a man was intentionally infecting other men with HIV. It’s not worth it. It breaks my heart that a lot of these people are too trusting. You can’t be. 💔

      @ramonadivina ปีที่แล้ว +9

      @@rehanrassi9410 the commenter didn’t actually say straight men “always” posing as gay men. He said straight men “often” posing as gay men. There are plenty of cases where they don’t end up raping them but doing other awful things to them such as robbing, hurting, or killing them. Also, sometimes straight men actually do rape other men and it may have nothing to do with sexual attraction to the other man. In some cases it’s a dominance thing; a way to make a gay/bi guy feel less than. Think of the stories that are told from prisons. It’s the same thing when a woman gets raped, when an elderly person gets raped, or when a child gets raped. A sane person would think how could someone do something like that. At times it’s just about power and control. I know it’s hard to think of how a straight man could get an erection for another man let alone have an orgasm, but sometimes they get off on being dominant, lack of sex from women, etc.
