PNR DEL 902 and 921 bound to Bicol with Gondola and Cargo Express Boxcars (06/21/2023)

DEL 902 leads the final set of miscellaneous train, consisting of Gondola Cars and former Cargo Express Boxcars, coming directly from Manila before the Alabang-Calamba Line closes for the upcoming NSCR Project. Future maintenance trains and/or miscellaneous trains will be hauled by DEL 917 as it is the last 900 class locomotive left in the south main line.
Train Consist:
DEL 902 + FCD 6 + GC 32 + GC 126 + GC 002 + BC 615 + BC 541 + DEL 921
Safe distance from the rail line must be observed at all times for your safety and the also for the train crew.

Just wondering, if these locomotives can be relocated to Bicol from Manila on existing tracks, how come passenger services aren’t possible from Manila to Bicol? Track safety issues? Track speed limits or encroachment of obstructions? More power to your channel.

Thanks for watching! I would be glad answering your question.
1st, the rail on manila will be closed because of NSCR Project. Only the Calamba to Legaspi will remain and will be served by segmented commuter trips.
2nd, There is no available coaches suitable for a direct Manila or Laguna to Bicol Trips. They needed forward facing seats and not the commuter type ones.
3rd, I can it is the tracks but now Laguna to BIcol is fully connected but some parts of it, specially in the border of Quezon and Bicol, needs to improve the tracks and stations to cater the passenger service.
