PNR DEL 917 and SVI Shunter Maintenance Train to Quezon Province - Los Baños, Laguna (07/04/2023)

DEL 917 and TMC-2 led a maintenance train to Quezon Province with 4 flatcars fully loaded with concrete ties to be used for trackworks down south.
After the closure of the Alabang-Calamba Line and pulling out of EMU 05 from the Interprovincial Commuter last July, DEL 917 was left behind to become the primary hauler of maintenance trains along with the two Italian made shuters which was also transferred south. DEL 917 was also the last 900 class locomotive down south after the line has been cut in Cabuyao, Laguna to accomodate the NSCR Project construction activities.
Safe distance from the rail line must be observed at all times for your safety and the also for the train crew.

The SVI's horn is funny lol and DEL 917 has the good ol RS37-2.

Yes and it still give me laughs when it passed. Also the present horn of DEL 917 was previously fitted to DEL 921, which is also an active hauler here of miscellaneous trains. That horn is very memorable to me now. Thanks for watching!

mostly wee pero di pa rin nawawala ung honk nya sa dulo, although its very rare na nga lang mabuo
