I also use a MegaHome distiller for my drinking/cooking water. You really don't want to boil a distiller dry for two main reasons: 1) The sediment forms a hard scale if all the water is boiled off, which makes cleaning the tank a real chore. 2) When the distiller is allowed to run dry, the heat goes way up, stressing the heating element and can cause the safety switch to wear out prematurely. In order to prevent this, just plug your distiller into a timer switch set to about five and a half hours. Fill the tank to just over the 'Full' mark. This will give you a gallon of distilled water and leave a little water in the distiller. Just pour out the remaining water and rinse out your distiller before running the next batch. Your distiller will last longer, and you won't have to clean the mineral scale buildup as often.

My mother asked if she can boiled the distilled water to make her tea? Thank you In advance😎😎❤️
I did this testing also.....I do wonder what...if anything is still in the distilled water...my dad worked for the city filtration plant years ago..I did a science fair project about the chemicals used to clean the water....(I won the school science fair)...There are so many used....do I assume these are all filtered out? (there's a former(?) cancer cluster not too far from where I live...so I question...) I LOVE this unit....
His meter should read 000 for distilled not 001. MY zero pitcher read 000 with two meters. IF flouride is 002-004 PPM then that 001 would be flouride. Gross.
That makes the tds go higher but it purifies the water but concentrates the minerals. I did drink boiled water for a few months back in 2004 and then ran out and went to the ice machine to get water which had a filter, and it was like drinking ACID. IT was like putting a lot of sodium hydroxide in my mouth!! MY mouth burned BAD!! SO try that experiment, then go drink the tap. U will know what i mean.
Since we can't buy bottled water here with the virus emptying the stores. I got out my old Megahome distiller and made some pure water from tap water. I used it with their charcoal inserts that were old and got pretty much pure water with 2TDS. I bought some carbon inserts that weren't from Megahome and that water is 14TDS, so some of the charcoal is getting into the water. You test that?

Sorry the pelegrino is definitely bad. The minerals may state calcium, magnesium etc but they will be in an inorganic state with a positive charge leading to dead water.

Lower TDS doesn't necessarily mean better... if the disolved solids are healthful minerals, in proper balance, then in terms of drinking water, a higher TDS may be preferable...
@@helloman5576 Water is not only the most essential substance next to oxygen for human life. It is also complex, often containing hundreds of dissolved minerals and chemicals. It is indeed a marvelous substance. Pure water processed only by nature is a type of “whole food”. It not only flushes toxins from the body and supplies many needed minerals, but impacts the body in many other subtle ways. Like other whole foods, when it is tampered with, water loses most of its precious healing properties. Water is more than a beverage. It is a particular type of energy that we need in a certain amount on a daily basis. If we do not obtain it, health is negatively impacted.
Find one city with non oxide minerals in the water and no pesticides. In all other cases distilled is healthier. Calcium/magnesium oxide are not easily absorbed and I don't think your body has a use for chlorine/bromine complexes.

Do not worry; they only want out best ( but we should not give it to them): Our money, our health, our teeth, our life savings, our retirement time and money, etc. etc. in exchange they give us inflammation , cancer, suffering and if that`s not enough they will kill us with chemotherapy because it destroys our immune system. Think of it as a modern form of cannibalism. They have to do this because the money they stole from us is already spent on war and corruption. They dare to call this grater good. ( For them, not us)
Fluoride is important and an essential beneficial mineral in the low doses as seen in water. It is found in plants, rocks, organics and air. Get minerals from food and herbs and teas not water. Its more than likely inorganic minerals

Does it remove VOC's and microplastics?
Yes, it has a coconut filter at the spout and it boils the water away and collects the evaporation to make the distilled water, so yes to both.
