    Thanks Mr. Maina. You Musky guys break the walls down so bass guys like me can hone in on your imagination. You always put me in a great mood. All the best.

    I'm allways taken back from all the great looking lures on the wall. Can you comment on them. And do you still use most of them on and off though out the season. keep the great videos coming. Thanks Pete

      Many years of fishing and pondering. The majority on the wall don't get used these days, but I like to keep them and look ... and think in winter ... old baits and memories bring ideas and simple fact is old things become new after a while. If they worked before they will again

    Anyway to add weight to crank baits without affecting the action?

    Hey Pete what do you think about a big swimbait with a spinnerbait arm attached

  • @thelonesomefisherman7425
    @thelonesomefisherman7425 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Why remove a treble hook to add a spinner blade? Take a short length of solid leader wire and put a loop in each end. Attach a snap-swivel and spinner to one of the wire loops and the other end to the split ring of the hook hanger. Use some shrink tube to hold the wire tight to the hook shank.

    • @petemaina7073
      @petemaina7073 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great thought/idea/modification... I would only offer that rear hook generally not needed at all (usually just flops and does damage in net) cuz fish naturally head hunt the bait and especially with a spinner back there

    Thanks Pete... the gears are turning now sir, can I ask ...what size blades are they roughly to order some online ? do they go by number like hooks do? I have a lure in mind, a orange/black mudpuppy similar with somewhat of the whale tale that I'd like to bring outa its drought.. I'm thinking gold colour more for the vibration side of things as water clearity here during our musky season is always dirty...I'm mostly offshore

    • @petemaina7073
      @petemaina7073 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Somewhat by lure size and experimentation. #3/4 size an average
