Oh my gosh the box is beautiful. The strawberry is beautiful, love the JBW design so lovely. I belong to Liz Mathews Patreon, love that Sea Mist fabric, the blues are so pretty, what a beautiful gift, you are loved. Retreats are so much fun you get so many items as gifts that are so well made and useful, such a cute bag you won, Driftwood fabric is beautiful, I love Peyote stitch the wolf is beautiful. Wow that Plastic Canvas Box is such a treasure for you because that is tons of work. It is so beautiful. I do plastic canvas and counted cross stitch so I know that many hours was spent on that piece. I can not believe you found that at Goodwill. Wow that Pumpkin House is very cool but I know I could not do it because I do not sew. I thought it is cool to see the cat in the window. Those fabrics are awesome. @@Sarahthenorthwoodsstitcher I've been once before. I've been seeing that they get a lot of fabric from quilt shops closing. Of course I need nothing. I like your finds and suggestions on how you finish your projects. I'm inspired.
You always find the best things when you thrift! Our thrift stores are so picked over is not any fun so i love to see your treasures. You have great inspiration for ffo's on your channel. Dont be too afraid of October house. Stitch them and mount them separately then put together in the frame. You dont have to stitch the fabrics together. That seems fiddly and frustrating. Just an idea.... thank you for sharing. Have a great time in Germany!
Great video. Glad you had a wonderful time at the treat. Orvus is/was always considered to be a horse soap. I do believe quilters use it as well. I have washed my stitched pieces in it and they came out great, but that was years ago when I only used white aida and DMC thread. Not sure what today's fabrics and threads would do.
I really enjoyed the video, especially the two Vervaco kits - oh, those tiny frames! - and of course, I was completely amazed by the Good Will finding , that fabulous stitched box, each of the four pieces in itself is so beautiful!! I do not know who the designer was, but it feels like a treasure box. I even saved this video in my list to come back to those four panels, maybe we will find the designer someday. Enjoy your trip to Germany ! I cannot wait for the impressions from this trip. I am from Eastern Europe and Germany is one of my fav countries.

That looks like it was a fantastic retreat! I think for your pumpkin house, you should stitch the fabrics together first, before stitching. Maybe she tells you in the pattern how to do it. I really liked the mushroom thread keep, too. Starlight Stitching Co sells the pattern, as well as finished ones, and she calls them clutches. I have several, but never attempted making them. They're handy to have in your project bags. I loved your find of the piece with the 4 churches. Very cool! Have safe travels to Germany.

I wanted that American Wildflowers, but @ HL a couple yrs ago, it was a crazy high priced, originally it was either $79.99 or $99.99 !! Cool Finish, and great that hubby is a Handy guy. Such a Beautiful exchange piece. Adorable zipper bag, I could never make that, cool scissors ... I like atomic ranch fabrics, but every piece I buy is not even, so measure your fabrics carefully. Blackwork & X-stitch together, very cool. The 2 different fabrics freaks me out!!! GL ... I have to pause the video :/ BBS.
I picked up that "Floral Etchings 2" pattern at my LNS this week. I did the first one last year and finished it as a project bag. It's a lovely stitch. So far there's just the 2 of them.

So many treats from your retreat, my absolute favorite is the wolf eyes barrette. WOW. I do some beading so I know the person who made it is a real expert. Have a wonderful time in Germany. Will you have time to scout out any needle craft stores?

The tiny hoop needleminders were from the drooling moose on Etsy. I don’t see them on her shop but you can drop her a note there and say you heard about them. She may have some left😊they are absolutely adorable. I want to try making them! You can get the mini hoops on Amazon or Temu. Thank you ❤️

Thread Hopper? My brain is on a retreat high and trying to pack…is that the gadget that holds several needles that you thread ahead of time? I have it in a project bag still afraid to use it. When I’m back we can cheer each other on and I’ll show it. IF that is what you meant, sorry not sure what number 😬🥴
@@Sarahthenorthwoodsstitcher yes you use one needle at the starting place, use second needle to count 10 stitches, move the first needle and count 10 more stitches 😂
Can you tape off one piece of fabric, then she the top half? Spray it, paint it with a brush??? Maybe even dip it? I know that would work with paper, but would it wick under the tape to much since it's fabric? Strawberry stitch is so sweet, found one on ebay because I must stitch it 😂! It’s cross stitch set in a plastic canvas frame made into a plastic canvas box. I’m so in love with it! We are going to a lot of places ❤️starting in Berlin then onto Muhlhausen, Erfurt, Herbsleben, Oberhof, then Berlin 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

That looks like it was a fantastic retreat! I think for your pumpkin house, you should stitch the fabrics together first, before stitching. Maybe she tells you in the pattern how to do it. I really liked the mushroom thread keep, too. Starlight Stitching Co sells the pattern, as well as finished ones, and she calls them clutches. I have several, but never attempted making them. They're handy to have in your project bags. I loved your find of the piece with the 4 churches. Very cool! Have safe travels to Germany.

I wanted that American Wildflowers, but @ HL a couple yrs ago, it was a crazy high priced, originally it was either $79.99 or $99.99 !! Cool Finish, and great that hubby is a Handy guy. Such a Beautiful exchange piece. Adorable zipper bag, I could never make that, cool scissors ... I like atomic ranch fabrics, but every piece I buy is not even, so measure your fabrics carefully. Blackwork & X-stitch together, very cool. The 2 different fabrics freaks me out!!! GL ... I have to pause the video :/ BBS.

I picked up that "Floral Etchings 2" pattern at my LNS this week. I did the first one last year and finished it as a project bag. It's a lovely stitch. So far there's just the 2 of them.

So many treats from your retreat, my absolute favorite is the wolf eyes barrette. WOW. I do some beading so I know the person who made it is a real expert. Have a wonderful time in Germany. Will you have time to scout out any needle craft stores?

The tiny hoop needleminders were from the drooling moose on Etsy. I don’t see them on her shop but you can drop her a note there and say you heard about them. She may have some left😊they are absolutely adorable. I want to try making them! You can get the mini hoops on Amazon or Temu. Thank you ❤️

Thread Hopper? My brain is on a retreat high and trying to pack…is that the gadget that holds several needles that you thread ahead of time? I have it in a project bag still afraid to use it. When I’m back we can cheer each other on and I’ll show it. IF that is what you meant, sorry not sure what number 😬🥴
@@Sarahthenorthwoodsstitcher yes you use one needle at the starting place, use second needle to count 10 stitches, move the first needle and count 10 more stitches 😂

Can you tape off one piece of fabric, then she the top half? Spray it, paint it with a brush??? Maybe even dip it? I know that would work with paper, but would it wick under the tape to much since it's fabric?
