Definitely a different vibe than the Tell your Tale version. In that one She angrily says you haven’t seen the last of me implying that she could return for revenge. In Make your mark however no such retort is made, Opaline is just in sheer terror, as if she’s truly gone for good.
Also in Tell Your Tale, the tree catches her and takes her away. But in Make Your Mark, it's the same opaline that by following her cutie mark traps herself inside the tree.
@@superrloca Also in Make your Mark Sunny’s necklace which by the way is based on Megan’s necklace from the G1 cartoon that contains the rainbow of light is what kept Opaline restrained, in Tell your Tale the necklace is excluded and the tree does all the work. In fact I just made a side by side comparison of the TYT and MYM events in my channel.

Despite evidently not being as cunning and devious as Mean 3 he is the greatest of them in terms of raw unboosted power and shear terror-installing looks. I wish he returns stronger and more terryfing than ever.
If Opaline even returns, I hope she’s just as serious as she was in the last few episodes she was in, especially since she was hardly taken seriously in Season 5, and she’s seen as a joke on and off in the other previous seasons. And I hope she doesn’t get redeemed if she returns, especially since she is not a character who deserves redemption.

She got exactly what she wanted endlessly power she got it from her magic tree and she wanted to be loved and feared everyone loves a together tree but fears her since she’s inside it so she’s both loved and feared so good she has everything she ever wanted

What I meant to say earlier was Opaline probably did something that was just as smart, if not smarter than what Starlight, Chrysalis or who know what/how many other villains in the G4 series did to nearly win. And this is just a random guess, I think what Opaline did was she probably either captured/eliminated the bravest (like Rainbow Dash and Applejack) and most powerful ponies (like Starlight) first and ended up saving Twilight for last, which ended up being one of Opaline's biggest mistakes because Twilight probably made those Unity Crystals as one of equestria's last possible hope in protecting it from evil like Opaline.
@ktm0629 Maybe Twilight had created a Golden Era that remained for so long, that many once vigilant types had grown lax in keeping an eye out for dangerously ambitious individuals, ones who didn't need to be very capable at subversion, such as Starlight or Cozy Glow, to enact their plans. Complacency can be a villain's greatest tactical advantage. Especially since you don't need to be much of a tactician to make the best use out of it.

Spike's voice is just one thing that really triggered me in the show, but this scene just broke me. I have some issues with this show: 1 - Opaline threatened Twilight and was showed as a joke of a villain the entire show. If she Threatened Twilight she should be at least as terrifying as Tirek or Chrisallys. 2 - Where is Twilight? Nah, Opaline is not a character to be redeemed, she has no positive qualities that would even hint towards a redemption, she’s like Chrysalis in this regard, except more comedic.

The way I see it MYM chapter 6 is pretty confusing
First off they brought spike back which I guess was an interesting decision but it still kinda fuels the whole ruining twilight sparkles empire thing
Not only that but it also ruined the ending of the new generation film by stating that uniting all three pony kinds weakened twilights protection spell
Second opalines demise is A pretty darn harsh for MLP seriously being incased in a tree is pretty cold hearted for someone like sunny
That and it also doesn’t explain the whole princess Celestia and Luna Cameo that was in a previous chapter
Finally why did they introduce YET ANOTHER VILLAIN in the special after opaline was defeated
This only raises more questions because apparently MYM was supposed to be over after chapter 6
