I think Apolla makes good scooters, but honestly this is the first time I think they finally hit the nail on the head, within its segment they got this one the most right,.....the right pricing, they didn't waste money on a disc brake where it wasn't needed, allowing them to offer it at a cheaper price, front suspension, above average range for its segment, above average ride quality for its segment, they picked the right place to splurge by adding the self-healing tires......low maintenance scooter, good ride quality, good range for its segment, I think this will be their sales leader within their line-up.
Great review Andrew and Jimmy! I will likely pick one of these up eventually for my wife's San Francisco commuting. She loves her E-Twow GT but I want her to have something that has greater IPX rating and pneumatic tires for better wet weather grip. She is fine on the E-Twow GT (even in the rain). The GT can also hit 25MPH and is much lighter. She has to transport the scooter up and down stairs and there is a big difference between 28lbs. and the nearly 50lbs of the Go. The self-sealing tires of the Go look great and I like the everything about it except for the non-folding handlebars. It won't fit in the storage areas on a train or my tall locker at the gym. Regardless, I still want to get a Go for her eventually as her rain commute scooter but I need her GT to stop working which is very unlikely. She has well over 5000 miles on it and it still going strong. I have just had to change the tires out, replace the drum brake pads and replace the brake cable wires when needed.

The cool part about the regen break is the easy convenience of where the paddle placement is for regen. I don't ever see myself using the regular breaks. Plus you have a wide range of stopping distance within the app
Great review as always. Overall, there isn't a better scooter in this category anywhere. It's right in the sweet spot but there is one problem -- the range is weak -- 20 miles at best on a full charge in gear 2. To reach 44 miles you would have to crawl along.
Specs dual 350watt 36v fills a nice niche but it certainly is overpriced there are better scooters at that asking price and the light weight does not justify it enough. I think this scooter would be a good deal if it were on sale for 900 or less.
I like the Appolo scooters they are well made and designed. Ideal I would say, but they priced way too high, I just don't see value in it. On the other hand, NIU scooter are beautifully made and designed perhaps not quite designer ish like the Appollo, but you can't beat the extremely high quality and good looks of the NIU at half of the price.
The turn signal light on the Niu KQi 300x is much better, with the lights showing front and back and side is made of rubber to avoid this exact problem of breaking. The latch and release mechanism on the KQi is also better, so is the stem latch, the whole thing is better except for lack of power and dual suspension.
Segway Ninebot Max G2 has a better turn signal as well and it is less expensive. It came out before Go so it is surprising that Apollo came out with subpar design after that. They probably had contract with supplier already and could not miss the release day. I would not be surprised if they fix it on the next version of the Go.
Despite all its niceties, the main issue with this scooter is the lack of overall versatility due to limited range. With reviewers seeing 14 - 19 miles max, with at least one reviewer cruising at 20mph until it would no longer sustain, which is fairly unimpressive. Apollo used 30 x 21700 cells in 10 series, 3 parallel. Had they simply gone with 40 cells in 10 Series 4 Parallel, it would have transformed this scooter into one of the most versatile units in scooter history while not giving up any of it's other fantastic attributes. Adding 10 cells would add less than 2lbs to this unit, even factoring in a slightly deeper battery tub. I wish they'd make a "max" version with 40 cells and 2-3" wider handlebars so that there was room to add an accessory or two... lights, bell, etc. I love everything else about the this scooter but the range is an issue compared to its competitors from Niu, Segway, VMAX and others.
The top latch is a sharp metal piece that could hurt the rider when unfolding in a crash accident. Wish it had 10” tires instead of 9”. But other than that it seems like a great general purpose scooter.
10' won't make a world of difference over 9' in terms of performance and safety. The dual suspension is what does the trick in dampening rough road conditions. Besides, that would defeat this scooter's purpose for portability and ease of storage as a larger frame is needed to accommodate 10' tires.

Why Ride Anything Else? Because Apollo is unavailable in my country (EU). Anyway, nice scooter. But range is way too small for this weight - I have 75 km (nominal) range from 22kg scooter.
Lmao the magnet is suppose to be in the folding thing not the stem. It obviously came out as the glue they use isnt strong enough. Hope they refine that before they start shipping these
In terms of portability and performance of a 36v scooters, i choose the Gotrax G4 max. 0-20mph is better, longer range, lighter and has a good size of foot deck. Pricing is better as well for better specs.
Apollo actually invests a ton on quality control tests on their scooters as well as treating their employees much better, especially since 2023 where their scooter quality has drastically improved. This explains how their scooters can take much more abuse compared to other scooter brands, even including Segway! Hence, you pay the premium for their unparalleled quality especially with that IP66 rating! If the scooter's value is what you said, then the employees making them in the factories are severely underpaid even for their costs of living! Think about it!

I even had a user I suspect working for apollo say that unless its a difference of 2 inches, tire size doesn't matter (what?!) 10" is the best compromise of portability and safety. Of course 11" tires will be more safe. And yes the price is a rip off. I cancelled my preorder for the Apollo go (which they required me to email or call them to do. HUGE red flag.) You lost me at pneumatic tires. Not riding anything that can go flat especially scooters with suspension already built in. I don't know why you're so backwards my man.
It is tubeless, self-healing pneumatic tires with sealant inside of it, practically making it flat resistant unless you deliberately run it over a hundred nails! Any solid tires that you think are superior compromise not only ride quality but also safety in traction during wet conditions!

8:04...ouch!
This sounds like you got stock or employed by Apollo, for your information the scooter market is flooded and prices are falling, if you can't find a scooter with way better battery and specs for $3500 your lost sorry ! SMH😢
yup that’s what i thought
1000 bucks??? No way, gotrax gx2 was on sale for 1400, gx1 1100 and the GX zero was like 700 all of those scooters you get more bang for your buck.
U guys didn’t tell us the range
Wow it has been 5 years since 2019
how much does it weigh?
Watch the video
Why Ride Anything Else? Because Apollo is unavailable in my country (EU). Anyway, nice scooter. But range is way too small for this weight - I have 75 km (nominal) range from 22kg scooter.
Hey man! Which scooter gives you 75Km at 22 kg?
Apollo really follows Apple's BS by naming things like they invented it with that "Airflow" suspension.
21KG and only one break in 2024 🤣
My Specialized 140/130mm fullsuspension Stumpjumper Bike weights 11.5 KG 😂
NICE
Awesome scooter but when it's up against scooters like the popular it can't beat it $999 that the price I would pay for it
Lmao the magnet is suppose to be in the folding thing not the stem. It obviously came out as the glue they use isnt strong enough. Hope they refine that before they start shipping these
Way to angle the camera to make then hill climb look steep 🙄
I love your honest review but I have issues purchasing parts from them. I guess it's a good scooter if your plan on purchasing new one every year or 2
Could I have a free one?
In terms of portability and performance of a 36v scooters, i choose the Gotrax G4 max. 0-20mph is better, longer range, lighter and has a good size of foot deck. Pricing is better as well for better specs.
so much for "air ow suspension "
suspension looks very minimal and those blinkers are a joke. 350W.. come on now
Are you guys brothers
Yeah not hitting 30 for that price isn’t great
Scooter seems overpriced the market is crowded the scooter in my opinion is valued at $700 for what you get
What about e-bikes?
There are some good ebike out there ,but be careful they can be heavy that's my only complaint
agreed
just get a iscooter ix5 500.00 pounds 600w peak power 1200w 28mph full suspension 10inch tyre
@@jamescashmore1452 Great recommendation this is a good price for a good scooter 👍🏼
I've been spoiled by eucs... 7 hours for a 15-20 mile battery charge...
The wheels are too small lol pot hole 🕳️ will have you flying no thank you 😂
Stop bunny hopping these scooters lol
Yeah! Just because it can hold 265lbs,it doesn't mean heavy weight people should ride it!!! Ok it's great under 165lbs.😂.
A downgraded City pro!😮.As usual overpriced.A $1000.Can.Max!
Always bringing up something he doesn’t like about the scooter whilst bunnyhopping it . Stupid.
Ugly too simple looking swing arms, weak power, ugly scooter...Dualtron Popular eats him in every look..same price like and Dualtron Popular...
Ugly?
@@freshlycharged yea i say...when you really and better look...cant say that is good looking....too simply made...when you compare with Dualtron pop 52V 25amp ....
@@darkozivko7683 I like the cockpit of this scooter, probably my favorite part about it. Simple doesn't mean bad, but everyone has their own tastes.
I think the stem light is extremely ugly though. Love the handlebar turn signals, best on the market until other scooters start using it more (NQI already has)
@@donaldtrump4977 also swing arms very simple, small wheels, small power...i personally think that is for young persons 12-15 years old and price needed to be adapted...too expensive...
@@darkozivko7683 I totally agree. Small wheels are unacceptable for a scooter of this power, and in my opinion for any scooter. Apollo tries so hard to compensate with their marketing department by pointing out the front and rear suspension "balancing this out".
But 9" tires are a lot less safe than 10" tires. I even had a user I suspect working for apollo say that unless its a difference of 2 inches, tire size doesn't matter (what?!)
10" is the best compromise of portability and safety. Of course 11" tires will be more safe.
And yes the price is a rip off. I cancelled my preorder for the Apollo go (which they required me to email or call them to do. HUGE red flag.) I only preordered for fear of missing out, I had just started researching scooters.
I'm going with the Segway Ninebot Max G2 and i'm going to mod the crap out of it!
Apollo is the Apple of scooters.
will never buy apollo after stem snapped while riding at 70 km on phantom. after being ignored for weeks they replied immediately after being threatened with a lawsuit, shit company. doesnt stand ebhind their product.. careful riding apollo never know when it will fall apart
You lost me at pneumatic tires.
Solid tires combine terrible handling with awful ride quality and are instant death in the rain. They absolutely suck
I prefer tubeless pneumatic tires on my premium rides for comfort… I’d never put solid tires on my car, bike, or any premium ride.
just say you don't know anything
😂
You do know there's a rear suspension right
just get a iscooter ix5 500.00 pounds 600w peak power 1200w 28mph full suspension 10inch tyre
Yeh let’s all go and get cheap, garbage, unsafe, Chinese electronics, with crappy to nonexistent customer service, and put all our faith in them 🤦♂️
"Cheap disposable" is what the scooter community deserves
