    Thanks for posting this video. The Kohler toilet tank K-4441-0 with dual-flush has a very similar design. I was worried about breaking something until I saw your video confirming the forced rotation push tab release.

    Thanks for the video. I installed 2 of these 8 years ago and had the same problem. I went to Sams and just purchased a new one for $109 and installed the new tank. It looks like an easy repair so will try next time but felt $109 to solve the problem was a cheap fix for me. Now I have a new bowl and replacement parts for the tank if I have any future problems.

    Thanks Mike, this helped us get it apart. We had a plumber look at one of these a few months ago and he rub the drop of oil into either side of the o-ring before replacing it.

    I’m so glad I came across your video. I had no idea how to remove this valve. Worked beautifully.

    If your fill valve (the one with blue cap) keep dripping continuously then you will have to change it. You can use universal fill valve like Fluidmaster 400AC.

    Great video. Helpful instruction. Worked as you described. Unfortunately that wasn’t the cause of why ours still runs.

    Thank you. Video is a great help. However, I cannot find a replacement seal. I see one at Home Depot for Glacier Bay, but it doesn't seem to be the same size. Any help would be appreciated.

    You are a blessing sir. I was sure I broke it when I started to twist it 😂.

    This works for Kohler dual flush as well with the fluid master canister.

    Can I change the canister to a universal one? And if so, what size is it? 2 inch or 3 inch?

    Has anyone figured out the model number of the cannister so I can order replacement parts? Sam's Club is useless.

    I am having this issue but I am trying to get the canister off- same as yours - do you push down?

    • @Mikesworld313
      @Mikesworld313  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah it's a weird thing to try and describe. You need to keep twisting the canister and apply sort of upward pressure like you're lifting it off. You have to pull kinda hard and the tab needs to hit the little piece that sticks out to push it outward. Good luck!

      Thank you for your informative clip. I end up have to replace the gasket cause the original has crack on it. Glad that I watch your vdo before trying and make mistake.

    I have two of these toilets and the one is not sending out enough water when you flush. Is this the same problem you were having?

    • @Mikesworld313
      @Mikesworld313  ปีที่แล้ว

      No the issue I was having was that the toilet would run and make weird noises. One of ours has that issue you're describing some times too and I think it's because the little plunger on one of the flush buttons so it's not depressing the actual flush in the housing enough. Hard to explain but try pushing in the flush as far as it will go and hold it there for a sec!
