Just say I’ve signed off at 11 years and 300 days but leave service after 12 years. Will I still be entitled to the resettlement grant? Being told a mixed bag…
I forgot to mention the Resettlement Grant. This is a tax-free lump sum payment of around £12,000 and is only eligible if service personnel serve at least 12 years. If you leave before your 12 year point, then you won't get it. You will not get the resettlement grant if you are entitled to any terminal benefits, like an immediate pension, ill health award or the Early Departure Payment. If, however, you leave at your 12 point, then you will receive the resettlement grant even though you also have a deferred pension which is payable at either 65 or state pension age depending if you are on the 05 or 15 scheme.
Great video for more knowledge, do you have a video about termination or early termination specifically? As in what exactly you are entitled to when requesting early termination with regards to resettlement grant, and resettlement activities, I know you forfeit the resettlement activities (GRT) but not sure about the 12k grant, also what leave are you entitled to that cannot be surrendered when you ask to leave early?? (Career of 12 years +) is terminal leave entitled or do you lose that too?? Thanks

Ressetlement grant, Is that part of the elcas or is that just a lump sum which goes into your bank when leaving? Does it touch your pension.
@@danprice1843 It is a lump sum which goes into your bank within around 30 days of leaving and can be used for anything.
Apparently you only get the 12K if you are not getting a pension. This needs clarifying.

What are the 7 clicks please?
7 clicks is what the Army call signing off or putting your notice in. Because it takes 7 clicks of the mouse to do it.
7 clicks to heaven. FREEDOM.
You should consider doing them
