    This is creme patissiere (pastry cream) since it's thickened by a starch. Bavarian cream is thickened using gelatin.

      This is not Bavarian cream! This is pastry cream.

      Lol then I guess Dunkin doesn't make it right anymore. Which is good for me, because I only eat kosher gelatin.

    If I put this in a boston cream pie instead of the usual custard would that work? and does this custard have to be refridgerated ?

    Can fresh milk be a substitute to the whole milk for the custard?

      Hi Patricia 😊 Yes, i think you can also regular milk instead of whole milk for making this custard filling 👍🏼

    What milk did you use? Can any milk do?

      Hi Rosemae 😊 I used whole milk with 3.5% milkfat 👍🏼 Need mo talaga ng milk with at least 3% milk fat because less fat will not thicken the sauce ♥️ Sana nasagot ko question mo Rosemae 😃

      i use fat-free milk and haven't had any problems - with 3 egg yolks and the flour, thickens up nicely.

      Hi Jacel 😊 I recommend to bake the doughnuts first then fill them with bavarian 👍🏼 Kasi baka lumabas lang ung filling pg nilagay muna agad then ibake

      Nå okay hehe yes make sure na iseal ung dough para hindi lumabas ung filling 👍🏼😊 then ifridge mo muna ung filling para mas madali ilagay sa dough 😃 and wala naman siguro mangyayari sa filling 👌🏼

    Curious, Can anyone who has made this comment on its flavor and mouth feel please? Does it have a velvet creamyness with a milky taste? Or a creamy mouth feel with a eggy vanilla type flavor. Thanks 🙂

      it's basically a vanilla-flavored egg custard. smooth and creamy, tastes like egg custard. not eggy at all.

    This is more like just vanilla pudding. Bavarian cream is made with gelatin. At best you made pastry cream.
