Yeah this song is excellent. Though it's not the one from that album that typically gets all the hype. So if you check back on them, a good one to listen to is "Where Owls Know My Name" -- and they have an official video that's hilarious and worth watching with it. You'll also hear some clean singing from them on that track, which adds to their dynamics.
The danger about this band is that after hearing "The silent life" and "A home", you can't find anything as good... Been hammering these 2 songs exclusively for about 2 years straight now, barely listen to anything else. These two songs are as absolutely good as it gets, fucking master pieces!!
Those she definitely the strongest songs on the album. The new album I just can't get in to. Have you checked out the earlier stuff ? There's some good stuff on those albums.

This album found me when I was just turning 30 as a single father to a young son and a dead relationship with my own father. Even the album name is a mindfuck. "Where Owls Know My Name" meaning nowhere. Because when asked, the Owls will simply respond "Who..?"
This album is excellent! I would encourage you to go a step further and check out Ulcerate. Avante Garde death metal from New Zealand. Twisted riffs, relentlessly misanthropic lyrics, and a drummer who might actually be a god walking among mortals.
If you want to hear something crazy react to the will to survive by pantera. It was an unreleased song for the cowboys from hell album and they used a riff from it for a later song that you know and have reacted to. Itll be interesting
