  • The traditional advice for the prevention of gum disease is to floss, brush, use mouth rinse and see your dentist twice a year. Yes, I’m sure you’ve heard it before and it is good advice. However, it is only a part of the equation as gum disease is linked to your systemic health

I went on a Keto diet and everything changed for me.... no more bleeding gums, no more puffy eyes, no more gut problems and bloating. I cut out sugars completely, reduced grains by 80%, and increased fats, vegetables. and protein . Excellent tutorial.... many thanks.👍

This has been one of the most amazing tutorials I've ever listened to. I just recently found out I have gum issues. And it terrified me. To be honest I'm super-scared now. I didn't realize gum bleeding was a symptom of a more systemic disorder. I also didn't realize I was protein deficient. I have an eating disorder. So my friend was was right. I was just ignoring her until I saw this. Thank you!!! Hello from Seattle, WA.

Look up spirulina! You can have up to 4 tbs or so every day, with starting at 1 tbs. Spirulina is a superfood alot of all the essential aminoacids ( for the body to create its own proteins). I just started a week or so ago and today I have already increased my intake to 3tbs. I also take clorella a great detoxer and good for biome. I also cut out alot of suger and spare my eating to only three meals a day to let the mouth biom recover inbetween meals, I also rinse my mouth with water after each meal use xylitolgums after meals too. There are many ways. Cutting out munching and letting the mouth rest inbetween the mals, seem to be something everyone says is good

So basically I've been getting bacteria pouring into my bloodstream for the past 2 decades 😖
No wonder I feel absolutely horrible at 42 years old 😞
Multiple Dentists have failed me over the years..
They HELPED me to destroy my teeth in a few ways.
Same with regular MDs.. I've been prescribed antibiotics more times than I can remember and never once did they tell me about probiotics.. I know this stuff now but back then I didn't

I knew I was going to hear crackers, I'm eating them with my bone broth soup. With loads lentals and barly, but unsprouted. Of course vegi blend. I looked at the crackers with distain but I can't throw them. It's a little sleeve of them. I'm going to rinse well, and hope for the best. My teeth are starting to brake apart. But I'm scared to go to the dentist, they just talk about pulling them and it's just all negative. My mental well being can't handle it.

I can confirm this, ever since I have got Crohn's disease my gums, teeth, eyes and skin have been terrible. I have discovered that baked things like bread are literally like a poison to me so I suspect that bad diet, especially processed food, is the main cause of my Crohn too. Yet doctor still says I need to take pills and then I can eat whatever I want. :/

Loved your video. My name is Mark from New York City. You really drive home the point of taking care of your gum disease. This is a topic that I have heard none of the naturopathic or holistic doctors I've ever listened to make a point of. Very enlightening. I would like to ask you what is your position on implants. I have a couple of teeth that have really decayed and i can no longer chew on them. I'm thinking of implants. Is the titanium that they use toxic? You do such a thorough job making your point. Thank you so much for taking the time.

So good to see that you have an holistic approach rather than using bandaids to suppress problems . Such a pity that doctors don’t have any training apart from 7 hours altogether at Med School to learn how to teach nutrition to their patients to prevent and cure rather than dishing out prescriptions for drugs . We all know that the drug companies are behind this of course. Anyhow my question is what do you know about wheatgrass and is it of any use to swish or hold it in your mouth for a couple of minutes to aid in the oral health of the gums ? Some people say they have had success but really could there be any truth in it ? Love your video and am going to watch others of yours 😀

@@jennifs6868it's all a business model for vets, medical doctors, detist and such. they don't make money from healthy people. When I ask so many time to my dentist, why am I getting cavities when I floss, brush every day. All they tell me is, genetics. boo on them. I'm a many marker and retirement for them.

Hit the nail on the head there is no preventive care. People in the US have no idea that our diet is mostly acid ash and that because the blood must maintain homeostasis being slightly alkaline, we don't realize the way our body normalizes our diet is by pulling our minerals from our tissues and organs, and if we are already not eating a good diet, over time... we are creating dysfunction in the organ, diabetes II, CAD, neuropathy, CKD, diminished vision to blindness, abscesses and non healing wounds to loss of limbs, possibly even cancer, and I guess now I see the impact on oral health as well. Is that right?

Great video :) But It seams to me from a logical standpoint that we should brush after every meal rather than twice a day. I eat 4 or 5 meals per day, so from a logical stand point I should brush 4 or 5 times a day. The goal is to remove leftover food particles and residues from teeth and gums. Its the particles and residues that become calcified, right?

Hi Dr! I'm from California, have questions for you. About 2yrs ago my upper front bridge was loose. The dentist told me that couple teeth underneath the bridge had absence, so he had to removed them. (To make story short) after that, he replaced several missing front teeth with removal partial denture. Several months later, one of the tooth chip and the the end of the partial bridge also broken off. I'm very unhappy the this dentist and I'm not going back to him. ( he was not my regular dentist and I haven't been seeing my dentist for many, many years, because I moved several times) I was thinking of having implant done, but afraid of the pain! Plus don't know who to trust, please... give me some advice. If I have to do implant, can you please recommend where or who to go to? Thanks you! (I'll be waiting for your response.)

When I was a child back in the 1960s, I remember the dentist telling me and my mother, that it was good if my gums bleed. 😢 I have lived all of my life with gum disease unfortunately. I was also fed terrible food as a child. No nutrition at all. I continued to eat like that for most of my life. I have been eating clean for the last 5 years , after self educating, I've learned so much. Unfortunately it is too late. I believe my gum disease has triggered the other inflammatory diseases that I have suffered with for decades. I learned this too late.

    Hi dr. Hall,
Thank you for posting these informative videos. I have a question about dental cleanings. Are they necessary
to get done every 6 months? And is it true that once you start getting them you’ll have to get them regularly or more tarter would start accumulating and start destroying the bone underneath the gum line?
    Thank you.

    • @EvolveDentalHealing
      @EvolveDentalHealing  5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

the frequency of cleanings can be as regular as every 90 days depending on gum health, pocketing (gaps under the gum) and overall health. Like a car gets dirty so do bactria and tartar build up - the longer its there the nastier and more damaging bacteria increase. This causes inflammation and immune defences that causes gum and bone damage. Regular cleans help reduce the risk of damage

Awesome video thankyou for getting info out before we all die of bacterial disease, cancer , Alzheimer's, autoimmune diseases it's all inflammatory diseases.
Well 3 years ago i went to dentist for a tooth removal Jindivitis long story short dentist said do you smoke and that's the only advice he gave me stop smoking could quite easily tell him a thing or two now.
I was BAD at chewing my finger nails , not anymore .
    So I've been on vit D3 magnesium, C , K2-mk7
And so important Lysine tabs Lysine is in free range beef , chicken an eggs it is so important our body uses Lysine amino acid in the tooth socket it produces a biofilm between teeth an gums to block bacteria entering Lysine killed a pea sized sist in 2 weeks so that saved me a hospital appointment, I've constantly researched past few years , colostrum powder I've also just added.. Winning so fare but not out of the woods yet .
I started the colostrum powder because my research i discovered if one of the 5 parts of our immune system which is igg iga ign igm and from memory igl not 100% on last one but if the one needed to fight the infection is low immune system will just attack with inflammation response yep eat/dissolve your gingiva aka gums and the bone in your jaw . So as the dentis said vitamin D which aids in inflammation as well as immune system over active under active autoimmune diseases too diabetes rumitoid arthritis BUT remember D is fat soluble GOOD fats when you take them (real butter cheese full cream milk ) not processed light rubbish with less nutrients.
    Cheers all

I’m afraid to die of gum disease. The density on gums is less densed.
I see blood from gums. Inflammation. I see bone coming through gums. My dentist want to do intensive cleaning with stuck ten needle with freezing. Then grounded. I’m ashamed. I keep developing cankers on my gums and it hurts for weeks

Use toothpaste that contains flouride? Why are you not a fan of oil pulling (with coconut oil)?

I had some inflammation, and a tootheache, I noticed plaqe on my toothe. while waiting to get in to see my dentist I used salt water and it helped. I brushed with a baking soda toothepaste. I went to the dentist they did a cleaning removed the plaque, my scores were 3-4 and a few 5s., I went to my PMD and she gave me a 10 day course of Penk VK. If I do all these things, and start brushing/flossing twice a day, with better nutrition... will this stop my gum disease??

Anything we can do to get the food residue out of the mouth after eating will surely help. I am oil pulling, water pic-ing, cinnamon water rinsing, hydrogen peroxide and baking soda rinsing, flossing, vitamins K2, A, D, lots of vegetables like broccoli and cutting out soda and sweets. I have some gum issues but all of this is helping and has arrested it from getting worse.

    Hello I'm a new subscriber.
I have question regarding the benefits, if any at all to metal canned foods, mainly fruits and whether they still contain the same amount of nutrients as if fresh? Love your channel and content and look forward to hearing back from you

Unfortunately, the focus in dentistry has swayed too heavily on fixing teeth and cosmetic work and not on the underlying issues and hence prevention. Most dentists dislike 'cleaning' teeth as they don't see it as treating gum disease and improving your total health.

@EvolveDentalHealing I just chewed on raw garlic and its eased my gum pain 👌 I have been systematically ill since January had 3 courses of antibiotics for other things they got better then my gums went 🤪

Look at dental probiotics to help get your good bacteria back and rebalance you mouth microbiome and use xylitol after meals - just suck on a xylitol mint then nothing to eat of drink for 30 mins after, this will help reduce the bad bacteria

I have receding gums and my dental health seems to be poor. I am considering beginning to use a Waterpik with a mild Hydrogen Peroxide solution. I have recently had some phantom health issues recently. An incident of exceedingly high blood pressure with no apparent cause. EKG, CAT Scan, MRI, Echo Cardiogram, Blood test...etc... all negative. Accordingly, I have shifted to an 100% Organic diet... no sugar, low carb, corrective Chiro. Information on the proper use of a waterpik and advice would be appreciated....at least until I can find a Holistic Dentist in the USA... Charlotte NC specifically.

Thank you for sharing! Great info! I wholeheartedly agree with everything you said! Regrowing teeth in Australia yet? I had two bad root canals ( 13 and 14 Molars), caused me to get very sick for many years, and I don't want to add anything foreign in my mouth, but I'm now unable to chew and speak properly. Any advice! Thanks in advance!

Do you have any information about how to get dental work done safely if you are severely sensitive to anesthetics? I have 2 teeth that need to be pulled but I’m terrified that I will have a horrible reaction because I have multiple chemical sensitivity. Are there any natural alternatives to regular numbing agents? I need help bad! The condition of my mouth is making me very sick and the bacteria draining in my system is causing severe anxiety, panic, derealization, etc. PLEASE HELP

    I am on Eliqis anticoagulation
I had cancer twice in remission since 2008.
My gums are bleeding and thought it was from Eliqis
But two molar have been falling out and one bottom tooth was infected and extracted. I eat organic vegan food. My gums are bad and I see the dentist
He started root canal but could not complete it because my insurance maxed out and the dentist wanted $2,500 to complete it and put a crown on it

Appreciate the info, Canada. Had treatment for periodontal disease & improved my life habits. Was a mouth breather all my life before becoming vegetarian(managing multipleSclerosis) + was putting smoke in my mouth, ex-pot smoker & bad oral hygiene. One tooth still infected at the root & stinks. Periodontist attempted to clean it but infection still came back in this one place, seems to be infected at the root tip. Desperately trying to avoid extraction & a hole in my smile, any hope left ? Have heard trying tea tree oil on youtube which i tried, bottle says its toxic though. Have heard about a new Ozone therapy but i think its rare to find.
