Anybody who has reservations about starting a chatelaine should watch your channel. Love your videos so much! I can’t believe after watching you and learning so much, I am giving a chatelaine another look. I can’t wait for your next video.
Lisa just a little warning sunlight can actually change the color of the threads maybe museum lights or a bar of lights. Just because this is a lot of work to have the sun hit and discolor or you know dull the threads. It is already looking fabulous ! Happy stitchin
Your Chatalaine is absolutely gorgeous!!!! I wish I could afford to purchase one but also my experience is at a minimum also. I learn so much from you. Maybe someday.😁 I enjoy your stitch with me's. You talk as though you are having a conversation with someone who is right there with you. Keep up your good work. Take care and may God bless you always.
I loved watching this format. It was fabulous seeing the chatelaine grow and change as the different stitches and bling were added. You are making me want to get my chatelaine out also and stitch on it. I can't wait to see the beading. Happy Birthday!!!! I hope you had a wonderful time with your girlfriends and parents and enjoyed your holiday away from work.
A very belated Happy Birthday! Theses two videos have been amazing. I have learnt so much, but more than that you are such an inspirational and motivating stitcher. I have never considered stitching a Chatelaine until now, but I am ready! Thank you so much for sharing this :)
I really like this format of your Chatelaine stitch with me. I am also working on RTM and nearly had a heart attack when you pulled out the green silks because my centre garden only had deep blues. Then I saw where you were placing them and checked mine to see I hadn't put those stitches in yet, nor had I back-stitched the inner bits of gold. Watching this has kinda made me double-check my work. Also I did my dense rhode stitches differently. It is looking fabulous!! And HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Hi fellow chatelaine stitcher! I am currently stitching butterfly lace, and am loving watching your stitch with me please do many more! Happy belated birthday too, hope you feel better soon! :)
By the way I love walking along with all the different types of stitches it really has been informative and for me I will be able to use as a example for when those stitches come up for me in my journey into more embroidered patterns! Thanks Sonja
This is a wonderful format! I am loving it - so helpful to see how you did the gold thread backstitching and I am learning so much from watching. Gorgeous work - so glad you had a lovely birthday weekend!
Amazing two videos. Can’t tell you how much I enjoyed these. Loved your the longer sessions of stitching. That Mandela is looking fantastic and watching you work on it. Really looks stunning. Will book mark these videos for when I start my chatelaine. Thanks so much for taking the time to do them.
This is going to be so beautiful and really enjoyed watching you stitch . It has made me realize I could do this and will start saving my pennies for one.
Happy Birthday!! I loved every minute of this stitch a long! This is such a beautiful piece, and I really enjoy seeing the progress, learning new stitches, and getting the chat as well. And I actually like videos on the longer side. So I vote yes!
Oh Lisa what a journey these two videos have been! There were so many moments when j didn't stitch and I just watched. I want to start my Chatelaine now but I need to finish some things for retreats before I do that haha. Once again, looking forward to seeing how you'll be on your Omanik! Can't wait for your next update! ☺️
Happy Birthday Lisa! Love this type of vlog/stitch with me format. The gold Treasure Braid really makes the centre look almost 3-D. Your eyesight is not caused by stitching too much so stitch away as long as you like. It's a case of presbyopia and if you have always had 20/20 vision until now, it is age-related for anyone around 40 or over...sorry, I am the same. I have Mag-Eyes too, I am working on the Royal Games I on 32 count linen and love the effect. I haven't done any beading yet but am anxious to see how you do yours on your Chatelaine. Thank you for these two videos, they are very instructive.
Happy birthday. I'm loving the longer vlog with different close ups of various stitches. Good decision about the single back stitch along the edge of the design. It is looking so beautiful. I really want to do one, but can't decide which one as they are all lovely. The reason I asked about your scroll bars yesterday is that I will be making myself a set of scroll bar covers and thought I would make a set for you too as they keep dirt and dog hair off when you turn your frame over. It's amazing, and a little creepy when an ex or somebody you have no contact with gets in touch out of the blue, sometimes I think it might be displaying control issues they may have, so the best response is to ignore them as they only want attention. x
Lisa. I would use a laying tool for the gold thread. It will make it lay flat. 😀 I would stitch the line, lining up with the side of each eyelet. Over 3 looks great. Or under each hole. Over 3. Look on the cover design sheet. 😀
Yep! I, for some reason, have always awoken in the middle of the night. So, I get up and check to make sure there are no dishes in the sink. I cannot stand to wake up to dirty dishes. Well, Mr. Chewbacca, (was Ms Patches, d 11/08/2013) well, I washed the dishes. He is on his palette.it is Eating station, resting place while Mom cooks. Yes, 0330AM, He has to have a snack. We are back in bed now. Watching you. So glad your Mum and Dad love The Chatelaine.
Enjoyed your Stitchy updates working on the Chatelaine, it’s coming along beautifully 💙 I’ve yet to watch the show cheat but it is on planner, like other things lol 😳 so many shows. I recommend the show Dirty John on Netflix, I just finished watching it & it is a real gripping watch 😬 Hope you had a nice birthday & until next time Happy Stitching!
My wish is to definitely do a Chatelaine one day. Was just wondering how to best frame it so that it shows off well. Do you put it behind glass, or otherwise how do you keep it from getting dirty if it's not behind glass? Especially if you used quite large beads?

Playing Chicken with the thread worked out beautiful. Acorns with powerful bases.

Love this type of video. You’re making me want to start my Egypt Garden Mandala more but I’m still so scared of it lol x
The beauty of back stitching. I don’t especially like doing it but the result can be remarkable! Soooo pretty!
Enjoyed this format immensely. It’s been lovely. Hope you enjoyed your birthday celebration. Happy Birthday 🎊🎂❤️❤️❤️

Pmsl l!! One of my dogs is just the same😂 why oh way ? The chatelaine is looking fabulous, love your updates. Many blessings from Greece
Hi would you do a video on stands as I know you have various options and your opinion on the suitability would be beneficial.
Hi enjoyed these videos would love to be able to bead shy way from kits with them in, how do you even thread a bead on to the tiny needles.
My wish is to definitely do a Chatelaine one day. Was just wondering how to best frame it so that it shows off well. Do you put it behind glass, or otherwise how do you keep it from getting dirty if it's not behind glass? Especially if you used quite large beads?
