- Sinead O'Connor took to social media Monday and appeared to be alone, distraught and having what may have been a mental breakdown. "I'm all by myself. I've absolutely nobody in my life except my doctor," she said in the video posted from a New Jersey motel room. "My entire life is revolving around just not dying and that's not living!" She claims she has been abandoned by her family and friends. "I love the people that are doing this to me. I am not staying alive for me," she said in the video. #InsideEdition
For a cheap hotel room, it actually looks pretty nice.

@@maxsheerin8219 I am going through a similar situation to her due to a chronic illness that has caused me severe mental and emotional anguish, that will likely take me years to accept, if I’m unable to heal. For the first time in my life I have known and understood what it’s like to want the pain to stop. I had never had a thought like this in my life prior to my illness. My family has not been there for me and they have threatened to have me committed. That only made me more shameful and self loathing at what had become of me. I’m doing a bit better these days at least emotionally. Much more stable but still battling major depression and wonder if I’ll be here in the future, if the pain never leaves or god forbid gets worse. I plan to stay strong. I just feel so sad for her knowing how dark things can become, and she has obviously been through the ringer when it comes to mental health. It’s heartbreaking. That’s crazy you were there that day. Sounds like you already knew about dark places etc.

She ripped a picture of the Pope on live TV. "Fight the real enemy." She meant fight the Church, which is the body Christ on earth. At that moment the Devil had taken control. It was a ritual meant to invoke the dark powers by having her deny Christ in front of millions of people. She had not found peace or joy as a result. She had suffered as a result of her pride and unrepentant sin. My heart breaks for her, but sin is a more serious issue than just depression. Depression is caused by sin.
I’m so sorry Sinead, that you went through such a dark time before you passed. It is a shame that she felt that she was abandoned by family and friends - although we don’t know the side as to why her relationship to her nearest and dearest was jeopardised. May she rest in peace.

However, it is clear that she had mental health issues, in which case, no matter the rifts she may have had, I’m sure her family tried reaching out to her, with no response on her side. We just never truly know.

Me my mother, father and sister met her at the airport years ago her daughter was just a child, she seemed happy and her and my mother talked for over an hour, other people rushed for photographs and autographs but she sad "no just one for this little girl" talking about my sister and then she sat at a table with my mother for ages but even my mother could tell she wasn't at peace of mind. She took a liking to my mother and felt better after talking to her, my mother has that effect on women and I still have the picture of her my mother and sister to this day.

It's absurd to make a story out of someone's cry for help.
First off, never done drugs, very rarely drink, and not bipolar at all. I have been diagnosed with PTSD, as well as severe depression and anxiety., but am medicated.
I'm 29, and completely get how she's feeling. I have two people in my life that I feel love/care about me, one of which I never get to see. It's recently gotten much worse, and I find myself crying a lot recently, crying myself to sleep last night even, and then this morning till I got to work. I think exactly what she says, and I have to say that this is her reaching out, not begging for attention.

Doctors only quote what they learn from books, I too was changed from bipolar to PTSD which controlled my unstable personality disorder. Parents have absolutely no idea how their abuse ruins their child, sometimes for life, or like here…generations. And I’m certain Sinead’s mother had her own abuse stories. Healing yourself before creating life is probably the best thing you can do as a parent.
My father’s neglect/abandonment didn’t bother me nearly as much in my 20/30’s as it does in my 40s and seems to get worse each year. Even if you know how you were treated was no fault of your own it doesn’t hurt any less and can absolutely keep you from reaching your full potential. Maybe that’s what hurts the most?

@clarry1324 I didn’t. I mean all parents (including her), generational trauma is extremely sad. I’ve read some of the letters she’s written to her family and they’re brutal. If her kids/family/friends chose not to be around, I can totally understand why.
Generational trauma is very real. The poem, “This be the verse” by Philip Larkin is the best representation I’ve seen of it.

I see before me a woman in pain. Its unimportant to.me what religion she is. were she has been or what since you may have committed in her life. She is mentally ill. I know neglect and abuse and exactly how it feels to live your mom and hate at the same time. I'm 51 now and my mom's gone to heaven too and although I miss her I'm glad that she isn't suffering anymore cause watching her suffer with her illness killed me inside too. Try to be happy with being a mom, I've got 4 kids too 2 boys n 2 girls, 3 grandsons and although it's hard I try to look at the positive side of life. God bless you and keep your head up🙏

I don't think she should be alone for the rest of her life. She should go out with one of her fans. I'd imagine one of her fans would appreciate her far more than her family ever would.
