I wrote that original comment three years ago, and that part still gives me goosebumps when I turn the volume up in my headphones. Hopefully Ben puts together a new line-up of band mates soon now that all that legal bullshit is over with and begins the process of recording another album.
That's his real voice. I've sang with him before and that's him not tired af. When he's moving around especially with his lung condition it's hard for him to breathe. I have the same condition as him and it sucks. If Ben's voice doesn't sound good it's because he is struggling to breathe. That's why he sounds off key sometimes because he can't get enough air into his lungs to push out the higher notes.
Nick sang for Aaron and Mark's old band Lifer who was also major label, and had a great deal of success about a decade back. He has been in myDownfall, and The Drama Club during the period of time they were in Breaking Ben. They are back in a new band together called Stardog Champion now that the 2 of them are no longer part of BB. Nick and Ben have been friends for years, he has sang with them when they would play shows together etc.
Nothing against Nick but he makes me feel like when im in the car listening to BB and i just sing along with the song..ha ha . It just shows how powerful Bens voice and presence can take over.
In this concert, he used a voice pitch stabilizer. If you watch different live videos, his voice tends to quiver a lot. You can definitely tell the difference.
Even in 2019 his voice is still pretty good and is underrated in some aspects. Looking forward to seeing him do stuff in Cold whenever they start touring again
He does, it's probably because he doesn't have to sing over 3 super loud guitars, and a good, aggressive drummer. It's good to see someone else who notices Ben's singing is different in acoustic shows.
well he had a lot of issues with illnesses. maybe this is just one of the few concerts in which he seems to be at full potential. if you have source/proof for pitch stabilizer tell me :)
