This video is old as hell, but a perfect example of how phenomenal Burnley's voice really is. The guy can belt out any tune he likes and it would sound incredible. Case and point.
This is one of my darkest hours and I wish to God I had someone who could say these words to me but I have no one to turn to... so I sit and listen to Ben Burnley and depend on my music to bring me some comfort.
very expressive, this is living music, this is art. when i hear the original now i ask myself if people should be put to sleep with it... into a dream of numbness. thank you dear Benjamin for this cover.❤
It's probably his personality. I have no idea how he is in person always seemed pretty cool to me. He is definitely a hell of a singer him and Adam Gontier are my two favorites. If you haven't checked out transit of Venus yet do yourself a favor and listen to it. Anonymous is probably my favorite off of it.
He’s a bit socially awkward but didn’t hesitate to take a pic with me after having a panic attack in the crowd. I was very blessed. But he stopped just long enough even though everyone was urging him to hurry up.
I saw this show at the HOB that night.... The songs sounded awesome, Ben was his usual personable self, and it was such a great night! I am so glad that I went. He's an amazing talent!!
I was a year ahead of Ben in high school. (Selinsgrove) I’ll never forget the day Kurt Cobain died and Ben lost his mind. I saw him in the hallway , crying , screaming , punching lockers and then he left school that day. He had an extreme passion even back then. It’s so good to see people keep pushing for their dreams and succeed.
i met her last year. we fell in love the day we met. she was broken. addicted to drugs... heroine. i loved her anyway. we did the most beautiful things together. she would look into my eyes, tell me that i am her reason to keep living. and she was mine. the needle was killing her. we would fight, then make up days later. it got so bad. she lost her home. stole a car. had nothing but drugs and me... the last time i saw her... she drove away. this song was our song i still love you.
you don't understand. The grunge movement spearheaded by Nirvana in the early 90s overtook the hype of music like Guns N Roses and other hair metal bands. That's what he means, and he's happy it went that way. Personally I think the grunge movement was good because it wasn't about the image, just the music. More honest and heartfelt music without the ego thrown in.
@BreakMyFall2008 Thank you so so much for posting these videos. Most of BB's fans would not have been able to see this performance without you. I only wish I could have been there! :)
I saw Matchbox 20 sing this at a bar in OKC called the Boars Head, really awesome rendition...paid $5 to get into that show and there was like 50 people or so.
what! noooooo its ok breakmyfall, thats my favorite song and thought he would never play it live in fact when i found out he played i almost cried! :'( wish i was there
I think everyone here wants this song on their ipod and i know someone here has it and for the sake of all of us Ben Heads for the love of God give us this song Ben :D
Please Ben you should just record this song for a charity or something...I want an official recording of this because I absolutely love this! Record it Exactly like this and I will buy!
whoever "disliked" this is completely insane! I guess we're all entitled to our opinions but not when it comes to Breaking Benjamin OR Ben Burnley! :) He is perfection... also love his intro because I was a grunge girl, hate most 80's music but this song I always loved.
Lying in my bed, I hear the clock tick and think of you Caught up in circles, confusion is nothing new Flashback, warm nights almost left behind Suitcase of memories, time after... Sometimes you picture me, I'm walking too far ahead You're calling to me, I can't hear what you've said Then you say, "Go slow", I fall behind The second hand unwinds If you're lost, you can look and you will find me Time after time If you fall, I will catch you, I'll be waiting Time after time If you're lost, you can look and you will find me Time after time If you fall, I will catch you, I'll be waiting (I will be waiting) Time after time After my picture fades and darkness has turned to gray Watching through windows, you're wondering if I'm OK Secrets stolen from deep inside The drum beats out of time If you're lost, you can look and you will find me Time after time If you fall, I will catch you, I'll be waiting Time after time You said, "Go slow", I fall behind The second hand unwinds If you're lost, you can look and you will find me Time after time If you fall, I will catch you, I'll be waiting Time after time If you're lost, you can look and you will find me Time after time If you fall, I will catch you, I'll be waiting (I will be waiting) Time after time Time after time Time after time Time after time Time after time Time after time Time after time Time after time Time after time Time after time Time after time
Don't know why the description says this song was written by The Hooters and covered by Cyndi Lauper. It was co-written by Cyndi Lauper and Rob Hyman of the Hooters for her "She's So Unusual" album.
Pas Razta if only that was true in our current date..hmm..maybe it is though?! Getting all the original angels back up on stage with some new talent added, always room for one or two more ❤️❤️🤟🤟
Ben, that would be a nice present for us, when you get back to writing songs. Include it in the next album or something. You really need to make a studio version of this
@BreakMyFall2008 Co-written by Ryan Hyman of the Hooters with Cyndi Lauper, who's version is the original, and yes, it's been covered a lot. But by artists like Boyz 2 Men and Mariah Carey. Ben and I obviously don't share musical tastes. But he did more covers in this set than any songs from their respective albums. A cover or two here or there is cool. But this was too much. Especially since he did only one song from Saturate.
@marksoutermusic I do have an open mind to other genres. From Johnny Cash to John Legend to Breaking Benjamin, I enjoy a vast array of music. I enjoyed this acoustic set until he bombarded the crowd with nonstop covers, periodically interrupted by songs from Phobia. 6 covers, 5 songs from WANA, 3 from Phobia, 2 from DA, and 1 from Saturate and BMA...all I wanted was some more BB songs.
My husband showed me this a few years ago and since his passing I come back to it religiously.
RIP, Mike

I need a studio version of this
Search for this song and add St Jude Sessions, they did one.
@@razvanpopa2943 Yeah but thats not a studio version. Thats another newer "live" performance.
This is, in my humble opinion, one of the best renditions of this song. Ben's haunting voice doesn't disappoint.
Ben Burnley is real talent his voice is amazing!!!!
This is one of my darkest hours and I wish to God I had someone who could say these words to me but I have no one to turn to... so I sit and listen to Ben Burnley and depend on my music to bring me some comfort.
I hope you made it through it
You, Adam Gontier, and Myles Kennedy are by far the most talented vocalist of my time. In my opinion anyways. Please never stop making music...
Not talented, unique. Singing is purely skill. It can be learned by literally anyone with a voice
Tracy Guidry add Brent Smith then I agree Brent is better than all of them
& Chris Cornell
@@OrthodoxBeards agreed, how did I forget him when I wrote this comment?!
@@ShaggyPker & Maynard James Keenan.
Should be a bonus song off an album played and sung flawlessly
And they could collab with cindi Lauper
Ben & Aaron are a dynamic duo, great musicians!
if I had half the talent of Ben I would be happy for life.
His voice is so beautiful
very expressive, this is living music, this is art. when i hear the original now i ask myself if people should be put to sleep with it... into a dream of numbness. thank you dear Benjamin for this cover.❤

My God! Ben is a freaking Angel sent from heaven to bless us mere mortals with his beautiful voice.

@CODY ADAMS No , he went to Selinsgrove High School in Pennsylvania for a little while.
I know this is old but whaa?
That's one of the most unbelievable things I've ever heard, Went to school with Ben and Kurt... wow!
I really prefer this performance way more than all the others. Soooo good
Benjamin Burnley = Bae

Did you find her again?
Dude's fuckin tight man.
warriorwithin24 i
Love this man's talent... he is a very close second to my most favorite vocalist, Aaron Lewis
Ben should come out with an album with all his cover songs :D
anyone agree?
Ben have the best voice in the world

I love Ben so much.
Breaking Benjamin is just badass. Plain and simple.
I love how he says "what the fuck"

ben one of the bests for ever
Amazing show...but i was to the second one in Hampton Beach! Great!!
Ben radiates greatness!
Ben never fails to amaze me! I wish the band didn't break up but hopefully ben will keep writing and recording!
The 80s was the bomb for music and movies and much more I lived it your generation missed out hahaha
Been in love with you since 2007. :p
Ben is back
I'm glad to say I know this song (born in 98)
Ben is now officially my favorite vocalist
I hope so this is on Spotify! :( I love this cover !
Their outfits are similar. LOVE THIS COVER!
Simply amazing!

Fucking love him!!!
Wish I had the tab for this. Awesome performance.
Thanks for filming this man! Great show, wish i could of made it!
Please Ben you should just record this song for a charity or something...I want an official recording of this because I absolutely love this! Record it Exactly like this and I will buy!
70s where better then the 80s, anyone agree? AC/DC, Aerosmith, Guns N Roses, all had there hits and starts in the 70s.
GnR had their hits in the 70's did they? A band that started in 1985 had their hits in the 70's.
Thomas Hollingsworth cough cough Metallica cough....
i agree with you 1000%
Really can't wait till he finds new band members and re starts BB, hoping Aaron joins him tbh they're good together !!
That would be cool, but Ben kinda hates Aaron now :/
Because he okayed a remix of Blow Me Away without Ben's permission, then they had a huge legal fight and Ben won the rights to BB.
The New guy he has been playing with also shares the name Aaron. lol Cj MacGregor

cindy lauper made this popular, and god knows she kicked ass on it.....that being said, ben knocked it out of the park. great pipes!

@5:15 ...... this guys untouchable. \m/
💯💯.. really like it when he hits them notes.. feels like it gets better as each chorus goes
Baritone acoustic guitars sound so cool.
dude, I love the cover that John Barrowman did of this song
This is why Ben is my Idol... He influences me to get on the mic... I already play guitar.... I just need to get the balls to sing... lol
@fulldoseofjoe yeah i was at the same show at hampton beach...it WAS more than epic!
he even said it was just his opinion
HOT! LOVE HIM!
I think he was referring to 80s mainstream pop.
CODY ADAMS judging from the scream it seems like he was referring to hair metal era of the 80s
Motley Crue😂
They need a studio version to this.
Note to every breaking benjamin fan.
Chad Szeliga told in an interview in february that Breaking Benjamin would soon get back into the studio!
Pas Razta if only that was true in our current date..hmm..maybe it is though?! Getting all the original angels back up on stage with some new talent added, always room for one or two more ❤️❤️🤟🤟
:) AWESOME! I WANT THIS SONG IN STUDIO VERSION!! heh
And the Bleach album is amazing, has some great records on it.
@Timberwolf9324 Thumbs up friend! He must be! No one more amazing on earth than Ben :)
he really seems to like this song :D
he's good
I just have to say that your camera's quality is utterly perfect. Thanks for catching this stuff.
Don't ever take this video down! If you do I must have the file!
yeah it does, sounds extremely low anyway. Fits the mood of the song very well
Ben, that would be a nice present for us, when you get back to writing songs. Include it in the next album or something. You really need to make a studio version of this
